Anyone lacking blackthorn plum or other rare trees it could be worth it to do more than silver level, I just harvested 4 trees and got xxl pine, xxl lemon, xl lemon and Blackthorn plum ( my first!)

As I've just met the first goal of the quest, I'm finding that even for someone as "green" as I am, there are advantages to participating, even if I can't possibly do it all.

I'm at level 34...and wondering if I should push through to get as far as possible or not. After reviewing the gold and diamond levels for the quest, I am realizing that beyond the first tier, I can only hope to complete the silver levels and even those are "iffy" beyond tier 3 (hoping I'm using the right terminology here).

So now I'm wondering if I should just quit while I'm ahead? I do think I will at least try for tier two - silver as the rewards should help me in Bahamarama, where I have just begun and seem to slogging through EP accumulation at a very slow pace.

Wondering if more experienced players think I'm on the right track or if I should give up on this quest now.

I think if you have the patience and time you should try to do All silver levels, the givers are on 3 and 5 If I remember right, the cloud row is the last one. those Givers are Great for bep and will help you level up bahamarama faster, it's always a good idea to get the givers when possible.

I'm going to give it my best shot then, to finish as many of the silver levels as I can. I think the extra BEP we get from those will help me level up a bit fast (and maybe get enough bananas to unlock more than the banana tree).

All of the silver levels you can do will help you a lot :D So no reason to quit!

You could do some of the gold and diamond steps too (the ones that have 2 as level requirement) with buying the things at the market. But I am not sure if it is worth it, depends on how much CC you have. Level 5 gold + diamond are definitely worth doing if you get that far and have the CC, not sure about level 1 and 3.

But there is no need to think too much about it though, just grow the crops and see how far you get :)

sewinglady..... don't give up.... just do as much as you can. I don't think I will be able to finish the event but I will participate and get as many of the silver levels as I can. It's rewarding to just participate and it will also help you level up... the more you do, the busier you are.... the more your experience will grow. I found the first events very rewarding and an important learning tool for me.

    sewinglady,
at your low level the determining factor will probably be how many drops you can accumulate and/or are willing to buy. I would do as much as I could. It was even more important when we had stars. It's all imaginary stuff so who cares if you don't do it perfectly? I don't. Whatever you decide is survivable. Silvers and lower levels are usually the easiest, as already mentioned. Start there and pick whatever suits you goals.

I can grow the event flowers (have all the required moonflowers grown working on the Morning glory now) and already have bred most of the animals, and have all the fruit.
My only worry is about drops. I have a total of 290 so far and so that is well below the average I would need per day. :(

I also cannot make up my mind if I want to donate the colored/ bred animals to the event.

I cannot say I am worried, yet, but it does seem that drop rates for the event crops alone is low. I plan to switch to longer term items on some of my fields soon. No sense having all the morning glories I need and without the event drops!

If you are looking for any other links related to this event, -Mir85- helpfully posted them when she started this thread. If you look at the very first post on Page 1, you will find links to the SOS thread, the FAQ for the event, and FAQs for all the different trees/stables that are given as rewards. :)

Hi PnP! It's good to see you, too. Life got really busy for the past month, but is a more sane pace at the moment, and I'm enjoying catching up on everyone's posts! Hello to all my farmer friends!! :D

Well, so far so good. I have about a third of the drops on both farms, just a few less on this farm which is about right for two days in ... I hope. Also I haven't been able to harvest quite as often as normal over the last couple of days so that would make a difference. :)

I was a tad disappointed with the trees I got on Illy, didn't have quite the same luck as you Joyce (congrats by the way, just a wee bit jelly): one Full Moon Maple (got one already on both farms), Strawberry (got three already on Illy, four or five on this farm), XL Elderberry, XL Apricot and XXL Yellow Pear. :sleepy:

By the by, I also planted my prize Baha trees from Castles in the Sand, also very poor result for me: XXL Pistachio, XXL Guava, XXL Sea Grape, XL Pomegranate, XL Lychee. I know there are three XXLs but not one new tree in sight. -.-

I would like to illustrate my feelings but every time I try to use a smilie, I get a bad gateway message so I will leave you to make your own up! LOL! :inlove:

Good luck with the event everybody! ;)

Did you guess the smilies correctly? :music:

(not so much time to work around the farm today.. just planted spelts in all the fields..)

There was a problem with the Forum for a moment. We were not alone in our problems. ;)

Edit: I can't count how many times I have come here to ask a question and, due to the gateway error, I have not managed to type it or I have just forgotten why I came here ... again! So now, can anyone enlighten me as to why we are getting obscure tools as prizes for this event? I understand Scrap Metails, Drip Tanks and Zen Rakes as they are all rare but why the Scissors and Oak Seedlings? Am I missing something?

I don't know but would speculate that BP is going to give us either an event or a quest that will either need specific tool donations or workshops we have to make. Remember in the past we were given a few breeding animals as an event prize just for it to be required soon after? That is what I think now....Perhaps the rumored Soup II?
