Chestnut Festival, how far will you go?

I am interested to see how much of the Chestnut Festival you choose to do

 

With the help of Aluntino's math formulas to determine the best combination of breeding stock to donate, I am going to finish the event. I will not attempt top 1000, not even a left over chestnut or lettuce. Had it not been for him, I would have stopped sooner.

 

I'm through step 4 and have not quit yet. I'm also not going to sweat if I don't make it.

 

Step seven

 

Is it fair to say I'm still undecided? I'm growing the crops, just in case. I am aware that is a colossal waste of time and resources and CC making opportunities if I elect not to go through with it after all. Step 1 is a given. The rest, I don't feel like it's worth the rewards. BEP not really that spectacular when you consider the 96 hour (4 days!) cool-down. The one thing that has me thinking twice is the additional super grow effectiveness of the CR. It might be nice to have that as an option to add to the WI and such, in drop emergencies. I think Mir or Suzee might have already mentioned this in the strategy thread or somewhere else. Those are fairly rare instances, though, so....ugh. Decisions, decisions.
I can swing everything including step 7 but I wouldn't be happy about it.

It will leave some corners of my barn vacant save the spiderwebs. LOL! In no universe or lifetime would I ever go beyond and wade into the deep, dark waters of top 1000. That is for more experienced and better equipped divers than I.

Edit: oh dear, just got an eyeful of the OA. Are they quite serious? How on earth is it the players fault that their buff doesn't work as intended? Oh well, maybe I have no dilemma about getting that CR after all.

 

Should it unlikely prove necessary, I am committed to donate every single item acceptable in the barn in order to play games, dance, enjoy the game while competing, and be successful in remaining in the Top 1000 donators when the event timer goes to -0-.

Level 7 will be fully completed long before gifts reset.

My Top 500 strategy will be disclosed in this event's strategy thread and updated periodically.

 

Step 1 and done... got the 6 Party Spins and was so-so happy.
I did not have the stock to make this worth my while.
Maybe next year!

 

I have Actually Just Completed Level 7 of this Quest now I am build up my stocks of Fruits. Weather I go for Top 1000 or not

 

Step 1, I joined fairly recently and do not have the resources to go further. Maybe next year.

 

I thought I was ready after last years, but I just don't have the breeding stock required. I didn't want an empty cloud row, so I just did two levels. I would have done 3 if the cloud row was later.

Drops and time may be my worst enemy, but I'll gun for the Top 5 finish...

Just did up to Level 3 and then stopped...sooo I have a grayed-out cloud row.....but it's there..!!!

 

Level 3...and I'm now the proud owner of a grayed out Cloud Row...

 

Finished level 7, but that's where I stop. I'm not playing with the Top 1000.

Got my greyed out cloud row , so here's hoping the items will be available to purchase in the future! Wish I had the breeding stock but I've been busy building and donating to FSQ!

 

Same here! I am not going to attempt the rest. But I have a plan: we can wait for four moths and at that barter and trade event, the items will become available to trade and I shall get the four items then to fill up my cloud row

 

Joining the proud owners of a greyed out cloud row club since I couldn't part with my breeding animals - I tried, but just couldn't do it, not that many anyway!

 

I stopped on step 3, I don't have the time either CC to buy-breed animals so I am stopping here

 

I have about 235K of the 650K animals needed for step 5. I'll keep plugging along but I don't think I'll be able to get any further in the time allotted. On the upside, I'll have lots of animals for the next BBD!

EDIT: Okay, it's official. I'm done. While I could finish step 7, I can't get to it due to steps 5 and 6. Now I can get back to replenishing my farm for the December lineup.
