Chickadee Roost - Mentor Request Pending for Months

    Hi!

    I first posted in General Issues, and was referred here by the mods.

    Situation: I started playing Farmerama back in May 2014, and put in a request to become a Chickadee Roost mentor in June or July 2014 (don't remember exactly when). It has been pending ever since, so am I still on the waiting list (and it's just taking forever), or did something happen to my request?

    I have checked your logs and I can confirm that you are on the waiting list, but sadly, the flaws of this system have been acknowledged in a producer newsletter, and at the moment, it is not being worked on or developed further. I am sorry I don't have better news for you.

    Hi!

    Nope, that was my only question. Guess I'll just have to be pleasantly surprised when it (eventually, I hope) adds me. Maybe at some point the "current features that [you] would like to see developed/worked on further" could be a topic for a Question Tuesday poll? Just a thought.

    Thank you for your suggestion, cpeterson - however, please do not be disappointed if you will not see this question asked. The Game Team chooses the Question Tuesday poll topics based on what they can and are planning possible, so probably even if the mentoring would be voted, it could not be set as a priority now. The explanation is below:

    "Unfortunately, we ran into a lot of technical issues during the development of this feature. These issues did not have a quick or a short term solution. The team collectively decided to put development of this feature on hold. It is my wish that our features and our releases are of the highest quality and I did not want us working on a feature that could potentially involve future rework. I assure you all that we’re not cancelling development on this; it is just on hold at the moment. Once we have the adequate resourcing and tech infrastructure in place, we will proceed with this. "

    Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process - hopefully there will be news on this matter soon.
