woody, I think the large quantities are for breeding :) We know they will be the next breeding animal, maybe already in February. The feed price might drop a bit as more players finish milling the baby blankets :) For rewards, you can take a look at the short term bee breeding and donkey breeding quests. These quests are usually quite similar :)

Finally Finished This Event as I was waiting to finish milling those Baby Blankets, it cool to get another Bahm Ep Giver and another cloud row to speed up Growing Animals as it does help to Speed up stocking up Chameleons for Breeding which happens to be the next Breeding Animal as I am Surprise at this.

I will start to mill Chameleons feeds constantly as I have 18 Chameleons Pens to Grow, some of you will only have 12 Chameleons Pens....Woody Yes Every Breeding Animal will be needing lots of Breeding Animals for a Good Measure you will need to stock up anything from 400 to 1000 Chameleons......But you can buy Chameleons From the Markets Now also Chameleon Feeds but would only advise to Mill the Chameleon Feeds if you have unlocked Lychees in the Temple using Golden Bananas.

When Chameleon Breeding will start Chameleon prices will go through the roof, due to Limitations of 12/18 Pens per Farmer in their Barns....Weather we will get getting an option to get more Chameleon Pens from Further Events or Quests !!!

An alternative strategy for those who do not have lychees: (an example only as there are numerous things you can do...)

Chameleon feed in my market is approx 1600 CC
Cranberries (a needed component) are 43 CC

1600/43 = 37.2 cranberries for one chameleon feed. In order to feed your 18 lizard pens, you would need to harvest/sell 760 cranberries (38/.9*18 to account for 10% listing fee) which can easily be done with PJ or CAC. With a 15 min milling time, you will save 4.5 hours if you buy the feed instead of making it.

Another strategy is to purchase the animals in the market. They are selling in my market for approx 2600 CC. With the above illustration, you would need to harvest/sell 67 cranberries per chameleon or 1206 for 18 lizards. Again, this also can be done easily with PJ or CAC and for a lot less time. You are limited with only growing 12-18 chameleons at a time but you can purchase more than 12-18 by growing cranberries and selling them.

Just offering a different perspective and again provide the disclaimer that there are many other alternatives and our great strategists may come along and share something more efficient. Just trying to offer encouragement where it seems players are discouraged.

When chameleons were over 4-6k in my market, I put out my pens but if the price remains where it is now or lower, this will be a strategy I adopt for myself...

    Good luck!

woody - I am also nervous about how many chameleon stalls awarded!o_O I was actually afraid BP was going to have chameleon breeding this BBD...phew...thank goodness that didn't happen!:p However, we are going to need lots of them for something in the near future.

Even worse, we don't know when the breeding event will be. With so many events so close to the next lately, there is hardly time to grow these colorful beauties. And to mill the feed and PF.
But I have the stables. They look pretty.

I guess my biggest concern is if this will be a permanent or temporary quest. If its permanent, then there is no real rush. If its temporary, though....

The event is not visible, apparently, to lower level players. As to "why?", there has been a lot of demand for quests for higher level players who are bored with the standard ones. Its impossible for a single event to please everyone.

At the same time, making things easy is, itself, a trap. Truth is that while people might complain a bit/be frustrated by difficult tasks or not being able to complete tasks yet, having everything too easy is just boring. Its sort of along the lines of the old curse.."may you have everything you wish". Sounds like a gift, at first.

I *expect* it will be like when donkey breeding was introduced (and every other breeding animal introduced the last year):
    • A temporary event quest.
    • After the event, a permanent breeding quest, and a permanent product quest.
When I used to breed all the animals myself for the event quest, I think I used about 200 PF and 200 animals (depending on skips of course) :)

Rainbows? (In the U.S., there is a paint company that uses Jackson's chameleons in their advertising. xD )

Doubt they will produce paint as we have the Turkey's doing that job.
But as Sglick used to say and call them instead "Pain Pallets" xD

    Just in time...
All went smoothly as scheduled. Finished milling baby blankets and completed all event quests before the 30 minutes are up. LOL :p
Gain B-EP, Bahama level up and able to unlock lychee tree.

Now going on to restock and milling chameleon feeds and sell them for extra income... :inlove::inlove:

    No product. Just thought! :music:

I finished the event on both farms on Sunday - had started the blankets off at the start of the event and had to wait for the last few to finish. The breeding took about two hours on Friday evening. I was on my annual jaunt to the UK and so didn't want to spend too much time on the 'puter but this was enough. Thankfully! :inlove:

Guys there has been no exchange on the left overs from this event i noticed in my barn anyone else have the same .... chicks ducklings and blankets still hanging about in their barn?

Blankets are no longer a product in the mill. I don't remember if I had any extras but I do have baby chickens in my barn. I think with the new event and it's issues, the exchange has been delayed.
