Cinema - Not a single point received for 3 days

I raised this issue here a day or so ago but the thread was closed without letting me reply! I was simply signposted to the announcement regarding the cinema update published in August!

I felt that this was very rude.

I have watched the cinema several times without ANY points - I repeat not a single cinema point being given to me for the past 3 days. How is this right?

I am sorry if that felt rude but I can assure you it wasn't shooger's intention, she's as sweet as sugar can be! But this is how we handle the Cinema reports, since are are no longer offering support for them. This isn't our decision, it came from above, and there is nothing we can do about it but follow it. The Cinema is a feature available for some players only, a lot of countries don't have access to it, most if not all the players who registered through a partner also don't have access to it, and many countries do not have any videos available for weeks and days in a row. Of course, this is not an excuse, but you have to see it like a bonus feature that gives you the chance of earning something extra. When the latest changes have been introduced, the cinema limit of 4 movies per day has been lifted and since then, players can watch unlimited movies and get rewards for them. If something goes wrong, we cannot compensate it. The explanation is in that announcement:

jnnythct, this happened to me some time ago. My problem was that there was a there was a "Reward" button that I had to scroll down to see. See a picture in this thread.

I of course have no idea if this is the case for you, but I wanted to mention it just in case. Hope you get some points soon

 

You are not alone! This is happening more and more frequently....to the point where I'd almost rather not have it all than waste my time only to be frustrated, over and over again. And it isn't - in fact, if not in theory - 'unlimited'. For the most part, after you have gotten your allotted quota (provided it has worked), and you reach 18-19 more points....then they start throwing up those 'movies' that do not work....and you give up in frustration. You keep hoping that it will be that rare once in a great while that they do allow you to get those last points for an 'extra' BB.
The cinema was a great idea. However, it seems that when it left Farmerama's control, it left behind the primary purpose - a fair and workable way to earn a few extra BB's in exchange for watching commercial advertisements.
