    Hello,

Ok, I am just a bit lost.

I understand the got the money don't do the work, the rich got other things on the mind.

But I am trying to get into the market better, learn'in the working's of it and got lost.
I am assuming it is because it's a left over from a high demand quest.

I went looking at coloured animals, after reading the forums on what to sell, best way and what to offer, I thought to look at 2nd and middle level animals, sticking to less time needing animals as I don't have the time in the game to do the high end animals, IE: 12 hour just to grow a regular let alone 4 to make one then 4 of them to go to the next level...

    I went to bunnies.

I looked at the levels bottom 7th out of 8 is flopsy, now the price for this is 2,986,743.95
the one before it abra. is going for 814,218.00
    And Snowy is 188,000.00

Now, after picking my jaw up again off the floor, is this normal?

I could go on a good shopping spree at 814,218. but really as to the breeding time really not that much different from is snowey and less work for me.

    But

    2,986,743.95?????
I could buy what I need, throw gifts at my farming buds and have enough to take it easy work slower and breed another at my time and no worries.

If the gap is normal between 6 to 7 by a whole comma, I have been farming wrong.

Please, someone explain this to me? why sweat CC's? just breed till you get a 7th and all will be gravy.
I have been doing silly things to get CC's leveling, growing crops learning to sell but wow.
I am afraid to go look and see what a 12 hour animal would bring in.
I am thinking maybe this is just the normal step up in farming as one grows and gets to the can do more?

    Thank-you for reading.

It is harder than it sounds, unless you are very lucky it takes a huge (really huge) amount of PF. Without any skips or baby boom extras, here is what it takes:

    • 16384 rabbits + 8192 PF to get 4096 cocoa
    • 4096 cocoa + 2048 PF to get 1024 cuddles
    • 1024 cuddles + 512 PF to get 256 trix
    • 256 trix + 128 PF to get 64 scaredy
    • 64 scaredy + 32 PF to get 16 snowy
    • 16 snowy + 8 PF to get 4 abracadabras
    • 4 abracadabras + 2PF to get a flopsy
Starting with rabbits you need 16384 rabbits + 10922 PF to get a flopsy  On the other hand, just selling 16k rabbits at 450 CC will earn you 6.5 mill CC! This was without skips or BBD. Taking those into account, the PF and rabbit amount is reduced a lot, but it is still huge. It is more profitable to sell the lower level breeding animals and buy the higher ones, than to try and breed all the way up.

In my 1.5 years on this farm I have gotten 2 level 7 animals, they were from skips, I never breed that high. One of them I sold for 5 mill and was rich for a while, the other one is still sitting in my park. I have never had a top level breeding animal ;)

These prices seems normal, some top level colored animals prices are over 10 millions and once I saw one animal (may be a sheep or pig) at the price of 33,000,000.00 cc, some players who knows how to make the max benefit of the markets have 100s of millions cc and buying these is no problem for them, it saves them time, effort and power feed, I managed to have 6 or 7 top level breading animals, but making cc is not my goal now, I have more than 24,000,000.00 cc, so I am not going to sell these now, I am storing them for another goal, in the same time I am not bold enough to start playing in the market, I am thinking this over, may be soon

That made it vary clear, Thanks I got stuck on millions and brain stopped.
That is a lot of PF!!
I will start a museum if I ever get them I will store them and pet them and never let them go.

I will do the 2nd and 3rd level selling. Thank-you for making this vary clear to me.

    abubadi66:

Lol, I got a long way to go to have enough of anything let alone CC's, hat off to you for working your way to the golden farm.
My only shot is to hope for a skip, I am half way to getting that baby boom rune, so I will be there some day.

The key is to sell at the right time :) The day the rodeo babies event started I sold brown cows, white cows, haflingers and shetland ponies for at least 3 million, all level 1&2 breeding animals :D

The other problem when it comes to selling a high level breeding animal is this: Do you have enough CCs to pay the 10% market commission? I got a skip during BBD over the weekend - and I thought I would sell it instead of keeping it or using it to fulfill the quest. Hah! They go for millions and I was under 200,000CC at the time. I'd actually have to sell stuff to make enough money to put the animal up for sale.

getting burned with quite a few breed animals not selling, even at 10-20% cheaper than lowest price. i now see its best to hold on to them and only sell during bbd.

Now that is what I am aiming for, been haunting your old post on this subject as we speak.
I am going to market everyday learning the way it flows, the pattern of items it's high and lows I will get it.
    Thank-you for your knowledge.

    abubadi66:

I did not factor that in, not at all thank-you I will print that on top of my word doc. 10% at millions that has to be high.

    feelfree2win:
Oh I read that market plan thread, must learn your market as all different, right now I offered small things in different parts of the market at different times only got burned on parrots, my market not good on them.
other areas of the market all sell.
I am learning, just got side tracked when I read one item = mill, on top of mill. I got brain dead.

Start slow. I am now level 84, just opened shipwreck on Baha recently, after playing for about a year, and have yet to complete more than about the 4th level on most of the breeding quests. They make long-term goals, but are not really "cost effective". Soup and friends is a better bet, but it will take you a LONG while to get there.

I think you mean sewinglady, she is the one how mentioned the 10% commission, so I thought she better be credited for that not me.

thanks I will look for that, right now I am haunting Mir85's bahamarama strategies thread, I am at the same spot great advice said what to do in the third chamber, I am growing crops and will stay till I get some GB build up and get all the trees and plants as Mir85 said is good.
I will go real slow into the market, I will stay with 2nd level animals after that great list was shown to me too much pF to ever grow a high animal. I see that now, slow and steady.

    Mir85:
Thank-you varymuch for all your words.

    sewinglady:
Sorry, I messed up post names, thank-you for pointing that out, really I never thought of it. thanks abadi66 for pointing that up, still had blank look of mill, on the mind....

Hi 100Keltic, Remember that to get to the next level of animal you have to breed FOUR of the previous one.
So you breed 4 of the 1st to get one of the second level. You then have to do that four times total to have enough 2nd levels to get one 3rd level.... it grows exponentially, not merely by 4x. So Yes there is a huge amount of time and "money" involved in going from one level of animal to another. It's not simply double, so the cost is high if you buy a higher animal because it takes so long and so much feed and breeding. To get an idea, sit down with a piece of paper and figure 4x basic animals for the 1st bred level, 16x basic animals for the 2nd breeding level (4 animals x 4 breed times), 64x for the 3rd (4x4x4).... then do the same thing for each generation 4x, 16x, 64x.... it's HUGE!
    Hope that makes sense.
