Confused about 3rd party

HI Guys,
Maybe I missed something...what is going on with 3rd party players? what exactly is a 3rd party player?

 

When you access the game through a 3rd party website, such as Big Fish or AOL.

As a 3rd party player with BigFish you used to be able to access the forum directly. BigFish now does not allow forum access through your farm . They have their own forums , they are trying to promote . So 3rd party players can read BP forum threads, but can not post .

 

hmm that stinks...but I bet their money works just fine,,,,not nice

 

That's exactly why I post for Kitaka, she plays thru BigFish and can't post herself.

When I started playing, I logged in from Wild Tangent. Now I always log in direct from the Farmerama home page, and have no problems doing so (www.farmerama.co.uk). I have heard concerns that you would need to start a new farm to log in this way, but I didn't. Well, I did, but because I chose to, not because I had to. I know you can log in this way without creating a new farm, because I sometimes do it from the library's computer if I'm there at harvest time, so my log in information isn't saved, and I never have a problem logging in. But, Farmerama is a Wild Tangent game, so that may be why I can do it in this manner. Maybe this would be a way for third party players to log in differently? I don't know if they are able to log in directly or must continue to log in via their original 3rd party account, but I thought I'd mention it.

 

Yea...I have always logged on via the farmarama page itself. then when TK told me about the puffin bowser for my tablet, I use that at work...but i do go thru the webpage as well
