Connection Issues - Data collection / Status

Greetings lovely Farmers,

Since there are quite of you affected by bad lag issues and login problems, here is a dedicated thread where we can collect all the info, to see if anything helps the Game Team find something in common that could lead to spotting a cause / problem, since there are no confirmed server issues at the moment.

I apologise in advanced for the long list of questions, but it's best to have everything covered.

1. Description of the problems experienced; Please include how often/for how long are you able to play properly, if you can play or the accounts are totally unplayable, etc.
2. Do you have one account, or more ? Please provide the user IDs.
3. Did you register and are playing through Farmerama, or a partner? (If yes, which one?)
4. What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Please make sure that your browser cache and cookies, as well as your Flash cache, are cleared.
5. Are your Flash player and browser(s) up to date? Please let us know your Adobe Flash plugin version(s), and your browser version(s). Please be sure to try at least 2.
6. Where are you located (country) and which is your Internet Service Provider?
7. Please try changing the game language - does it make a difference? What languages did you try?

it is better right now, but experienced serious issues since approximately 24 hours despite clearing all cache, logging back on etc. harvester was not responding, every time i tried to move to another field whole thing woulld freeze and could not move, had to shut down browser completely and start again, tried both, firefox and explorer, finally all collapsed when i went to the farm wheel and it would not stop spinning at all but also not give me anything or let me get out of there - forum would not load either, had to have many attempts

I didn't post before since so many others were doing so and there seemed to be nothing to be done. I will however add my info here in hopes to help solve the problem for future issues. Today has been fine so far. My issues were yesterday morning (Eastern US time) for several hours.

1) Sometimes but not always, some of the graphics would disappear (in breeding pop up or FS pop ups). At which point nothing could be done without refreshing. No even clicking the log out button. At other times (when using the harvester) nothing would happen. Usually by leaving the field and going to another and back again it would fix itself (ongoing issue there) yesterday however it would require a refresh of the game as not even clicking on the fields themselves would harvest them. The harvester did sometimes work. The issue came came about every 15-30 minutes.

2) I have 1 account - 28855178

3) I register and play through Farmerama

4 & 5) Yes everything was cleaned out, flash up to date, same problems on Chrome, IE and Firefox browsers which are all up to date.

6) Eastern USA, Windstream is my provider

7) I have used the US and English, did not change the problems any

Forum was working fine

9) I don't know my operating system. Windows something.

10) No commercials

 

Not sure if it's related, but thought I'd better post it here first:

1)After clearing the field, planting new crops, deleting my trophies from the field and moving to another field to plant the trophies again, I get the mesage while planting the trophies that I don't have enough goods. I need to log out and log back in to remove the trophies from the field they were originally on. BUT, also the field again has a full harvest, instead of just planted crops. It appears they had been moved to my barn and then removed again. So I gotta harvest everything again (no harvester who does the job for me) and I've got to plant everything again. I'm not sure if I've lost crops through this, because I didn't pay enough attention. I encounter this problem irregularly but on all my fields (so it's not with every change of the trophies, but it's become often enough to start to annoy me)
I've also noticed I harvest my animal pens, clean them, feed them again and somehow, irregularly, I need to harvest, clean and feed them again, as if they haven't been harvested yet.
I've been having this problem for about three days now, I think.
2) I have two accounts: ArwiyaethID: 34400582 (I don't experience the trophy problem at that account because I don't move the trophies around here, but I do experience the problem with the harvest of the animals) and SheriziyaID: 52194132 (where I have all the problems)
3) Registered and playing through Farmerama on both accounts
4) I've done the usual troubleshooting: Clear cache and cookies both from browser and Flash. I'm using Firefox, BTW. Haven't tried another browser yet because all other technical problems I've had so far with Farmerama didn't change with changing the browser. If you want me to try Chrome or Opera, I'll happilly test it
5) Firefox has been updated I think a few days ago. Firefox: 34.0.5 (Firefox itself says its up to date). Adobe Flash: 16,0,0,235 (according to the Adobe site this is the latest version)
6) I live in the Netherlands. I use Fiber Optic from Vodafone
7) I'll try changing the game language with my next change of the trophies
I don't experience any forum issues.
9) My OS is Windows 8 with the latest updates.
10) Do you have video commercials loading when you access the account?: You mean in another tab in the browser or a separate videoplayer? Not in the browser. Only the game and the Forum. I do have a videoplayer (MPC-HC) running, but that doesn't use Flash, as far as I know.

 

1. The game is slow for me and freezes occasionally. It usually freezes if I pop to the forum, leaving the farm idle for 5mins. However, there seems to be lag with the mill, harvester and the owls (which fairly frequently don't take). I play anoth BP game and there are no issues with that one.
2. One account - id below.
3. Registered through farmerama.co.uk
4. Cleared caches and cookies from all browsers, restarted pc, even cleaned out temporary internet files etc.
5. Using the google chrome, but also firefox 34.0.5 and flash 16,0,0,235.
6. In the UK using BT.
7. Changed the language and same thing happened.
8. Occasional forum issues - I get the same image as JJenks posted earlier.
9. Using Windows 7.
10. No commercials loading - I have an ad blocker running.

 

It is interesting that TCRooster notes a freeze when moving from farm to forum.

Back at the end of November, I had a problem with the farm freezing up when I went to the forum using the browser Opera. I reported the issue to Opera because at the time I didn't have the problem if I used Firefox. About a week later, I stopped having the problem. I don't remember if it was about the same time but I have since installed some updates to Windows 8.1.

While Opera did a generic acknowledgement of my problem report, I never got a followup.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the current issues but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

 

Just had a freeze 10 minutes ago. Windows 8.1 Up to date, current version of Flash, Firefox. Had been in the forum and just closed it out. Went back to harvest and replant. Only one of the six crop plots actually got planted with vanilla.

For the past several days I have been experiencing freezes as well. Going from one field to another. I have to refresh a lot in order to finish what I have been doing. I have cleaned out my computer etc .

I am having to refresh quite often to harvest or change fields....and it's getting worse.
I have windows 8.1
I have only 1 account through farmerama BP english
I use chrome...have cleared cache, updated and cleared browsing history and cookies.

Still experiencing problems. Have worked with BP using links they provided and still experience same problems. My cache is clear and I run nothing else while gaming. I only have 1 account and it was set up through Farmerama BP English (am located in the U.S.). I have 3 computers: MAC/Safari, Windows/Firefox, Chromebook/Chrome and all experience the same problems logging in, no access to forum (luckily I am here today!), when I can get in screens freeze, can't switch between screens, mail very slow or doesn't work at all, I have to refresh alot and sometimes it works for a bit and other times not at all. This was one of the problems experienced earlier where fields (changing screens) won't load.

 

Thank GOD someone is looking into this issue
1. Freezes and have to refresh-quit counting but not as much as say 5 days ago.

5. MAJOR forum issues. Was beginning to think we were being limited on access to it.

7. Videos have pretty much disappeared. Wondered if maybe there were no more sponsors
8. Loading the game isn't too much of an issue. However, going from field to field or park or cloud row really lags.

Hope I put all the info you asked for. It just seems when certain events happen or all the mini events running at the same time or one right after another causes problems. Like it's too much for the system. Thanks teddy for looking into this. Much appreciated and I know you will have your hands full. Sending you...lets say Peanut Butter Bon Bon's as I just made them and need help eating them

This is the first time in over 24 hours that I've been able to access or post a reply in the forum. While doing any function in the game, a connection error will pop up. Then either I'll be booted out of the game, or will have to refresh the screen. This happens many times an hour, sometimes every minute.

Even more frequently than being booted out, I'll be timed out. Sometimes there will be spinning flowers, sometimes not. Both the game and forum are experiencing the disruptions. Last night, Saturday, I hit a "sweet spot" - for approx. 4 hours the game ran without disruption (although the forum was inaccessible). After that, the game booted me out and the problems began again with a vengeance.

All my software is up-to-date and cache's are clean. I use Winows 7, primarily Firefox browser (although I've tried Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Opera with the same lack of result) and my ISP is AT&T U-verse. I have one farm, use English language and am in the USA (central time zone).

I run many other programs and Bigpoint/Farmerama is the only one experiencing these problems. That leads me to believe it's not my connection to the internet, but Bigpoint server. It doesn't matter if I'm running another program or just Farmerama, the same disruptions occur. However, when I run other programs at the same time as Farmerama, only Farmerama is effected.

P.S. I was booted out of the game while typing this forum message, so an error message was returned when trying to post it.

Oh so it isn't just me.

I have been having several display glitches over the past few days. When refreshing would take forever, and it didn't seem to stop occurring I cleared cache and followed the rest of the troubleshooting steps in the FAQs. Still having the issues intermittently.

1. Issues:
A. FSQ do not show what I have donated. I have to either refresh and try again or exit the window and go back in. This sometimes results in a double donation of the items. Most of the time though, it will act like I never attempted to donate at all. Very weird.

B. Freezes when I try to go to the farmwheel. I have to refresh the game and go back to the farmwheel. Usually after this glitch it will try to take me to Bahamarama. Even if I was not previously on that land prior to clicking on the farmwheel.

C. Random freezing in game. Usually when something is ready to harvest or I am in the middle of harvesting/seeding. Have to refresh to get it to work.

D. Game just seems to be slower in general. Loading fields will sometimes take several minutes and refreshing does not help. It just waits to refresh until after it has loaded the field :/ Stopped refreshing in this instance.

5. Flash is most recent. Browser is Chrome and most recent. Have not tried another browser. It wasn't bothering me enough to go that far.

7. Oh lord. I wouldn't be able to understand any other language. Do I have to? I mean I've learned a bit of German and Spanish, but not enough to navigate.. I do use the farmerama.bigpoint to access the game.

1. (Description of problem) Freezing, lagging, pages timing out/refusing to load/crashing. It has affected every part of both my farms. Half the time when I click on the market or post office, it doesn't load the pictures or emails. When I click on the prize wheel, nothing happens. Videos in the cinema crash. I get the little spinning flower when I'm in the middle of harvesting. Most of the time, no matter which field I'm in or what I'm doing, the game will just suddenly, randomly freeze. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to refresh, and often the refresh doesn't work because the page crashes. I often have to attempt the same refresh 3 or 4 times before I'm able to get to the game.

2. (Farm names/IDs) I have two farms, and am having the same problem on both. MissSmartyPants ID 51948197 and steph2014 ID 51076464

3. (Who are games played through) MissSmartyPants is played directly through BigPoint. steph2014 is played through a third party site (BigFishGames)

4. (Troubleshooting steps taken) I have cleared cache, cookies, and flash cache. It hasn't helped.

5. (Flash and browser info) Flash and browser are both up to date. I don't know how to find my adobe flash plug in version, sorry. I play through Chrome, but have also tried the game through IE. Same problems no matter which browser I use.

6. (Location and ISP) East Coast of the USA. I use Verizon Fios

7. (Languages) I have only tried English (US version)

8. (Forum issues) Yes...forum pages won't load, or they time out/crash right away. Have to often try multiple times before the page loads.

9. (Operating system) Windows 8.1

10. (Video commercials) Never had commercials on steph2014 (through BigFishGames). I do have commercials on MissSmartyPants, although today I installed an ad blocker so now there are no more commercials. The game is still having the same problems.

#1 I am experiencing severe lagging and freezing problems on both the game and forum. The harvester is having a lot of issues, I have to click then go to another field before it will register any action. If I let the game sit idle for any time it will freeze up and I will have to refresh. The market is so slow in registering anything that I am overbuying, overselling, just missing out on a buy because it has frozen again. For the last two days I have been unable to log in at all for a few hours in the afternoon. When I come to the forum I get constant error messages and when I click on new post button it takes me to the beginning of that thread. I have to refresh after reading each new post.
