Oh, how exciting! I'm the first! My initial impression is that this event is tailor made for the festive season. It has enough to keep avid farmers occupied but not tied to their computer. The prizes are good enough to work for but not disastrous if you cannot finish the whole event, apart from the cloud row, there are no "must have" items to lure people away from their Christmas plans. Just my very humble opinion! :)

Thanks for giving a thought to those who will be spending time with family and friends at this time. ;)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everbody within this community we call Farmerama! :music::inlove::music::inlove::music:

Challenging, interesting, different and I am sure do-able with a bit of stock in the barn and proper planing. Well done!!!! Cannot wait until tomorrow when the fun begins. My mill is already very busy - swinging its sails in the wind.

Considering the time (the season) the requirements surprisingly are not high, only 8000 Anise, 1800 Cinnamon, the mill product is easily achievable the only thing remaining is the drop item which can be achieved by planting high level plants, so I think it is a relaxing cool event
the prizes are good and measuring to the effort, so I say well done BP, and Merry Christmas all.

Nice event, obviously intended for everyone to enjoy.
Cinnamon can be only obstacle for lower level players in terms of required level, but otherwise, nothing else is seriously demanding.
Products are from starting animals, and majority regular players already have them in the barn, or they can (still) buy them for not too high price.

Each level have something interesting and worth of shot. Nothing spectacular or too rare, but enough for the people to put some effort in getting them.

I guess that (only) 8.000 Anice will be welcomed by many, due to lack of gaming time during these holiday days.

I find it strange that I can earn the cloud row, but in order to earn the last item that will make it work, I have to reach level 39. This does not seem right.

I will post my overall impressions later.

EDIT: Looks like I should have been more worried about drop rates than my level. I will likely reach level 39, but am unlikely to get the pastry bags needed, though I am harvesting pretty much "on time", with little delay except when I sleep. I understand that longer-running crops give higher drop rates, but right now the event crop is the highest level crop I can grow outside of Baha.

Please clarify in the Faq's what the reward is for the cloud row. It states -20% breeding time, is it breeding animals(pens) or breeding coloured upgrades. Thanks

I was personally rather put off the event by looking at the rewards, as the high levels of low-time crops needed for the flour (and the eggs and milk to be cashed out) seemed like a lot of effort and loss of produce for minimal rewards. I was sucked in by the party spins (with which I've had fairly decent luck in the past), dawn wonder stables and cloud row, however I sense that in spite of these rewards there will be a more overwhelming sense of disappointment at the amount of produce lost for the rewards given. Perhaps I am just more accustomed to the brilliant rewards BP usually offers. Ordinarily I would skip the event but always love the Christmas ones and can't stand not doing it (I skipped the Santapalooza event). I will give my overall impressions later on, but thus far sense overwhelming disappointment somewhat quenched by a few decent prizes in there.

    I love this event :inlove::inlove::inlove:

The low number of event crop and drops makes it very flexible :) You can even do the three first levels without growing any event crops :)

I think the prizes are great: Power feed, wonder stables and for me (at level 150) over 80000 BEP :inlove:

I really like the cloud row! I like that it has some other bonus than just (B)EP :) The reduction in breeding time means that I will probably start using 3 pheromones instead of 4 :)

And as a Christmas bonus, I have made millions of CC by growing and selling sorghum :D:D

Edit: The animated event window is really nice!

I originally thought this was a great event but I'm calling it quits!
I've noticed that the drop rate for pastry bags is much, much lower than normal and that will make it very difficult to complete the event... all at the same time that BP is pushing a cloud row for BB that increases drops!
    Coincidence, i think not!
I've been here a few times defending BP's right to make money but I think I was incorrect as to do this is just plain sleazy.

I have to agree with Mir85, the event is the best so far that I have participated in :D. Although I am with acmetoy that the drop rate for event pastry is not brilliant (and I admit to buying some o_O) but I am on level 3 and hopefully this will be my first ever event that I will finish:)

I'm still not sure that I will consider the rewards fully worth the effort, but I need the PF and really want the party spins and stables so I'm going for it. Agree that the drops are abysmally low, but as noted in the strategy thread, the daily target is only 100 drops. I've been a little lower than that so far but am not concerned (for reasons stated in the strategy thread). I'm only hoping my drop rate does improve with my changed strategy, because I can't make it on this drop rate.

This event is well balanced with 8000 x 8 hour crop and mill stuff which is fun, especially calculating part way through. And the rewards are really good IMHO.
The positive posts are out-weighing the negatives and Christmas spirit abounds.
Are wolves possible from the Dawn Stables? I hope so...
No drops for the last level is clever, well done.
    Merry Christmas to all!!

You are right. The drop rate for pastry bags is to much lower and is difficult to complete. I hope to get that secret stable... finger crossed.

    Merry Christmas! :music::)

The event seems fair for the rewards but with the dreadful drop rate, I doubt that I'll put much effort in

Reasonable crop requirement and fairly good prizes. I do hate having to wait for drops before I can move to the next level and the drop rate is really slow.

My drop rate have been exceptionally low. I haven't even gotten enough to finish the first 2 levels. Awful.

Reasonable crops requirement and fairly good prizes. Perfect balance at the three first levels without growing any event crops. Well done Devs team!

Hopefully we can have similiar format for all of next events.. ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, BP!
