I have all done except for the drops but figure I will not finish this event because of getting drops of 15 pastry bags for a 15 hour crop in a full field. And I got the cloud row still not much difference it seems. How do they expect us to even do this event? The only way I can see to get enough pastry bags is to buy them and I am not doing that. How about tweeking the drop rate BP?

People seem to have had really odd differences in the number of drops they get. Some get quite high numbers whilst others get a lower amount. It's weird.

i think the highest drops of pastry bags i've gotten in one harvest was 12 off of one field ..... its making it VERY hard to get enough drops it's a shame really as this is the 1st challenge like this i've had enough confidence to have much of a try at

The event drop and sorghum requirements are too much for me so I did not participate. :(However, this is still one of the best events Bigpoint has created because I made a lot of Country Coins by selling some oats and sorghums. :p

    Well done BP!:D:D:D

My suggestion: Please include Barnyard Bills as reward for next event.:)

I had planted hazel nuts last night, and this morning the highest drop rate with the ruins and the new cloud row was 16 pastry bags, 2 wolf dens and a frog pond each yielded 1 pastry bag, but still not enough, I have 230/250 for the third level, and still there is level 4, so I started using super grow because there is only 54 hours left, hoping to have as many harvests as I can, other wise there is no way but to buy the pastry bags because the cloud raw cool time is 48 hours (Aooooch!).

Then what are you worried about? You only need 50 for the 4th level and 0 for the 5th level :)

The event itself gets my thumbs up, nicely designed deco items, festive theme décor....A big plus for the required event crop and additional crop amount, everything should be manageable even for lower level farmers with ample time to get ready for the holidays....unless of course you are travelling....

A big, and every time bigger, minus for the amount of event drops.....I completed the event, so I don't worry about it anymore....but considering that I have the cloud row, complete trophies, three Howie's and my Glade full with XXL and Jumbo Trees and then I get only 11 pastry bags from there as drops......it makes me wonder....I don't know who does the drop rate tweaking for each event.....but it is always stressful to the last moment, wondering if and when the last drops will be received.....

Thanks Mir85, I have a problem with my eyes and sometimes I got mixed up, I don't know why in my mind there was a 450 more pastry bags to donate, but I find now that really I have finished, on the other hand I wanted to share my experience with this event about the drop items, thanks again.

Whoever tweaked the drop rate did a poor job. 2 drops on a field of wheat, 0 drops on a field of roses. Definitely something wrong there.

EDIT: Just got one more pastry drop on a field of Wheat. I think I'll be growing wheat for a while.

EDIT2: 2 fields of wheat, 1 drop. 1 field of canola, 1 drop.

    EDIT3: 1 field of carrots, 1 drop.

The drop rate is extremely bad, I spent alot of time planting anise only not to use it because I won't get to that part of the event.
I am averaging 14 pastry bags every harvest. And that is for all 4 fields.
Very tired and irritated on special events.

Me too. I tried so hard to produce anise only not to use it. Even if I had 16 to 17 drops, the decision to produce the corps needed to produce holiday flour, I have not managed to get to that level to use anise. And we lost precious time to do that since is Christmas....

what i wish is we could have Gifted our excess supply's to people ..... i have about 3000 anise plants and around 200 pastry bags in my barn and 1500 holiday flour i would have loved to have been able to gift out

Had 8000 Anise and 200 Flours ready but fell short on the pastry bags, only had 11 to complete stage 4. Got a snoozing santa which gives lots of CC's,didn't get the Wonder stables i wanted. Will Farmerama repeat this same event next year?

There is not enough drops item(pastry bag) if you don't start at the first day of the event. Even if I did start late, I was able to produce every crops needed for the event. But I was short on the drops items. If someone is able to produce every crops needed, in my opinion, we should receive enough drops to complete the stage to. The drop should be enough just with crops needed in the event. Like I said, it's my opinion, and it's the principal reason I didn't play very often in the last year. I try this event because, the number of thing to produce was not exagerated, and I wanted to test if the drops items were as little as usual. I guess that it didn't change since the last event I did!

So have fun everyone, maybe I'll test another event next year to see if you can do a event without logging every day and hope to get enough drops! The drops should not be the problem to complete a event!

I agree that the drops should not be a limiting factor. That is why any enhancements as to drop rates for example would just exclude more players and the new players and any future new player from events.
Events should be able to be played by more players and not less.
I remember from the good old times that whenever I grew the necessary items (even if only event crops) by myself and within the allotted time, I always had the necessary drops as well. And a lot spare time meant that I actually had back then a nice surplus of drops that got exchanged - no problem (it's not that they are worth a fortune in CC and EP exchange after the event). The timeframe seemed generous back then and so there was extra time to grow crops without any stress.

It should be about the fun to see those little drops coming out of their fields instead of the scare of not being able to finish (see Small Mice, Big Bash). I am considering not playing it for many reasons. One of them is that I do not like events that depend on drop rates.
I do not like the fact that the milling product is depending on drop rates and that the milling time is so long. I prefer events that give me, the player the feeling that it is up to me to complete a task instead of lucky drops (luck is for so many other things in this game like secret stables, the wheel and so on...)

So just ask for much less drops. Right now the drops are just a way to ensure that farmers have to keep their farm busy to complete an event. That is far too restrictive from my point of view.

And including for example players that can not keep the farm busy at all times is very, very important. Not only work a lot of people in the US more than one job at a time but there are strategies and could be even better strategies as to how to play an event within a short time. Drop rates on the other hand are limiting indeed.

The required levels of players were not stated correctly:
Level 1 = Required Level 8 (when a player can produce eggs and access the product on the market; trees should not be counted as they are rare and probably not to be had in an early stage of the game).

So it is great that players at the required level 6 should be able to complete level 2 of the event, but they can realistically only get there if they are already level 8.

The next level is excluding more players by asking for BH related things.

And then finally a level that a level 2 player could complete even though 8000 Anise for someone with the main farm only, is steep. Not that it matters that level could never be reached by someone with level 2, that was ensured by the whole setup. So why offer a level for players of level 2 in the first place?

And as usual I would like to point out that the cloud row should be the last reward given.

Edit: It comes to no surprise to me that drop rates were rather low. I read somewhere that growing a bunch of wheat, oats and sorghum does not work well to get drops in the first place. So this event was asking for two requirements that somewhat excluded each other. So it would have needed a much more deliberate drop rate or more time to grow crops just for drops.
