But The Rewards for Chestnut Festival Quest and Chestnut Festival Cloud Row is much more rewarding compare to the FAQ Festival 2013. Last year Top 500 was Raiders of The Lost Bananas which Only Gives 700 Bahm EP and 1 Golden Banana Every 120 Hours.

This Year Top 1000 Prize is very Good, if you used Island Buffs to Boost Island Crop EP, Including using all the Pets and This New Cloud Row Giving 100% Bahm for 6 Hours if you Eat Green Mateato you Boost that to 150% without using Pets and other Buffs

The Chestnut Festival is only asking for 4.2M EV.
For those that won the CAC/ZAB recipes had to donate over 6M EV.
Big difference & more people willing to challenge themselves in 2011 HH

Now that the old forum is no longer accessible, does anyone still have the FAQ to Harvest Hoedown for 2011? I did not begin playing until 2012...I have last year's and that is all. I would be interested in seeing what was required in 2011.

I found this on another webpage. If it is genuine, it adds up to fruit or crops with EV 4.5M.

That looks correct Mir. It was my first BP Christmas. [I meant to say November/December.] I only made it to Level 9 on my first two farms. Level 8 on my third farm, had to buy the recipes. As you can see it was a lot easier cause we could use any crop/fruit at each level. Much cheaper event.

The November event is always the toughest one of the year and is geared toward power players. I'm not a power player and don't sweat the Top Players quest. I always finish the levels leading up to it because I spend the year preparing for it. As more players near Level 100 expect the event to get more difficult each year in order to continue to challenge the Top Players. The Top Players are willing to invest any resource including time and Real Money to say they made it. BP makes money that way which keeps the lights on so other players can play for free. It works for me.

BTW: the second highest donation event is usually in December. Now would be a good time to get ready.

Thanks for the heads up, SuzeeRabbit. I have not played an entire year yet or I might have prepared better for these late year events. Can you tell me what the rewards were for last year's Harvest event? If there was a cloud row, what was it?

In fact, Ajjg (aka Mooboy), prize last year may have been better than this year's in terms of help for Baha leveling up, unless the player pondering to dump her/his stuff into the Top1000 abyss is still very low in Baha level.

Last year's prize included the item yielding 1 GB every 6 days. In other words, almost 61 GBs/year (and I'm disregarding the B-EPs you could accumulate along the yr by just harvesting the item).

This year's prize is a 20GBs pack + a cloud row that yields 70*Baha lvl B-EPs every 48 hs. This cloud row, for me, at lvl234 in Baha, would now mean an avg of roughly 7K B-EPs/day, let's say an avg of 8K B-EPs/day along the year, which translates into 2,92M B-EPs or 3 Baha levels for me, equivalent to only 15 GBs. That is, for a player at Baha lvl like mine, that's a total of just 35 GBs in a yr.

In other words, last year's prize would have been better for me, by a swooping 80%..... Only if you are level 150 (or something like that) or lower present year's prize may be better.

Except for the 20 GBs pack, the rest of the prizes can be rather easily gotten via other means with way less resources (ability to use those means would be shuttered down if resources are dumped in that abyss), and the B-EPs the cloud row would yield can be easily replaced by playing the mkt, making CCs and buying artisan products to eat (for me, just 5 Red Punches a day would do that), leaving the artisan products the player may be able to make for additional boosting.

In short, the prize pkg for achieving the Top1000 is not worth the effort and the crippling of anyone's farm. Like Suzee has just said, it only makes sense for those who would like to be listed in the Top1000 Hall of Fame, and that's it. It's OK and I fully support those who decide to do it, but anyone else not caring about getting into that Hall of Fame shouldn't spend a second pondering if they can, may or might try it.

And, again, Green Mateato is a waste: ZAB yields 10% more B-EPs than GM, lasts 3 times more, and also yields 60% more EPs in all crops from the rest of the farm. The difference is GM's 50% boost in B-EPs also applies to trees. But that's more than giganticly outperformed by triple duration of ZAB's effect on Baha crops. GM makes sense and is worth only if you have the Island carpeted with trees.

Thank you, pnp, for the chart. I see a trend of less rewards for more effort over the course of the game. Newer players have a harder task than those who have been with the game longer.

Thx, PnP. I don't save the level info, usually. Just the total requirements.

Yes, Cali, it does seem the game is tougher for newer players. I've thought that more than once. But not impossible. ;)

As usual I forgot to mention something... the December... Repair Santa's Sleigh type events... Ask for LOTS of tools! Now would be a good time to stop building pens unless you really need it. My first Christmas was killer. Last Christmas didn't put a dent in my tools inventory. LOL!

Aluntino, this is another instance of where I see a comparison to RL. RL is always presenting us with challenges. How "successful" we are is a reflection of how we handle challenges. Not saying I don't get flustered and feel defeated from time to time... But the thing I love most about this game is figuring out what I have to do to finish a quest, aka strategizing, and whether it is worth my effort.

Compare Festival Quests From This Year, Last Year and 2012. Last Year Festival Quest was easier to complete compared to 2012 and This Year Therefore the Order of the Easiest Festival to complete would be

    • 1st 2013
    • 2nd 2014
    • 3rd 2012
I think The Festival Prizes Rewards would very Differently all depending how you play the game and Prepared to used or make crafting to Maximise Buff Effects, as from the info as above it depends how much crafts you are prepared to buy and eat, or is prepared to craft and eat only to those who have been able to unlock these useful crafts.

Beware some crafts are cheaper to buy and Eat from the Markets than it is to create, Some Crafts are cheaper to craft than to buy from the markets, such as CAC and EM.

I would have to say it is too early to say that by Entering into Top 1000, Would surely Cripple your Farm. This was the case in the last two Previous Festival Events. But I Have a Hunch this year is something Different as i can see couple of things that making it different this time as I have been keeping an eye in Top 1000 as it appears there are less competitors as there still 900 farmers or so not made it into Top 1000 Yet. As there are many farmers who do not have the resources to Even Complete this Event is very sad and Unfair that cant get very far in this Quest due to high demands of requirements for this Event Quest

The rewards for This year Top 1000 is really helps you Level Up Bahamrama Island....Aluntino I appreciate your calculations but some farmers have the luxury to Spend CC to Buy Crafts to Eat to Boost Bahm EP to Enable to get More BEP which helps them get more Golden Bananas as you are Level up as you are level 234 in Baha it is much harder to level up, Any cloud Row that gives X Times Baha Level,is more effective each time you level up on Baha

It Also helps to Build up stock of an BEP Givers in the Shipwreck as I got about 25% BEP Givers in my shipwreck.....I do not mind that i can donate things to Events that can be replace for those who have very Healthy CC Barn. As they can be brought back into the Barn Eventually.....I Actually do value tool items especially the rare ones as it helps to make Red and Pink Pens which I intend to do eventually once i have completed Breeding quests, as Tools Items cannot be Brought from the Markets. They do take a fair while to build up stock of Tools in your Barn, You never know might need tools to unlock the New Coral Reef !

Aluntino about GM i was talking about using ZAB is Gold Slot 1 and GM in Gold Slot 2 Them two combined gives 110% More Crop EP, plus the use of Pets EP on top of that. Baha Trees are not great Baha EP compared to growing Baha Crops, which are be harvested more Frequently within 20 Hours of Tree Time, if you are growing Baha Veg Crops this can be boosted using Tiki Timers too by 20% without using Water, Manure and Supergrow

    Ajjg,

My comment to you was referred to your previous claim that this year's Top1000 prize pkg is better than last year's Top500 one. At least for helping Baha leveling up, it's not, as I showed above, unless you are lvl150 or lower in Baha. It doesn't matter that a cloud helps if it doesn't help much and you can save the resources you may spend in getting that cloud to achieve a much much vaster effect by using them otherwise. Spending CCs on Baha artisan products to boost leveling up is not a luxury: it's a must if anyone wants to efficiently speed up leveling up without involving a colossal amount of resources, simply because they can be bought from proceeds achieved from activity on both Baha and the rest of the farm plus market activity. It's a way of involving the whole of your farm (only needed partially) to help you achieve what the lack of space in Baha will prevent you from achieving. In other words, it's a way of virtually expanding your Baha space.

As regards GM in the second gold slot, if you use EM instead, for instance, that has double the GM's duration and typically costs half what GM costs (now, even less than that), then you have 30% (EM buff on everything, also items in parks including Baha's)/50% (GM buff just on Baha's crops and trees) * 12 (EM duration) / 6 (GM duration) * 2*2 (cost of 2 GMs to equate duration of 1 EM) / 1 (cost of 1 EM) = 0,6 * 2 * 4 = 4,8 --> using that slot with 1 EM instead of 2 GMs is 380% more efficient, with the bonus that you get that 30% over everything on the whole farm, including Baha items on Shipwreck Island and Baha pens in the Island, not only crops and trees in the Island. So, again, I'm sorry, but unless you have Baha carpeted with trees, GM is a waste. (Besides, if a player is one of those Top1000 guys, s/he won't have the Chestnut King item out to get 100% B-EPs from Baha crops and trees: it'd be in the cloud; so, Chestnut King's buffing effect is, in practical terms, useless..... ---> wrong statement within these parentheses -see Mir's remark immediately below-: the Chestnut King thing will help if out; anyway, it doesn't change my overall assessment of the Top1000 pkg as a poor reward for Baha leveling up if a player is at a higher Baha level than 150 or so).

And, finally, there's no need to see how many players will try the Top1000 and how much they'll bid. I bet you it won't be less than 100M in ExV terms. Just as an example, that's roughly what I have in bred animals stock (and I know I am pretty well stocked of them). So, it's pretty clear 100M will cripple the farms of probably much more than 99% of the players universe. Is it worth it for a pretty poorly rewarding prize pkg? I think not.

Aluntino, just a small thing, there is no need to put the chestnut king on a cloud row :) The top 1000 cloud row is not themed.

Yesterday I was thinking about the pkg that the Top 1000 get... They don't need it. I bet everyone of them already has the entire Farm/Island open and plenty in reserve to open whatever the cost of the next big this is, Coral Reef. I'm pretty sure they don't do it for the pkg, they do it to see their "name in lights". That's the main reason I would do it.

I think there are a few (those that donated just 1 ExV) that are hoping to get the pkg by being lucky. There are now over 400 players listed.

    Suzee,

You're saying exactly what I'm trying to convey and you had said before: if this pkg is not worthy for players at a Baha lvl higher than 150 (at least, in comparison to last year's reward) and they're prone to spend who knows how much RL money to get there, what's left? Just the Hall of Fame..., as you said earlier above, I supported and even had also mentioned in farmer_broke's thread before.

So, I'm fully supportive of those who decide to go for it, but it must be clear it's for the Hall of Fame.... Nothing else...
