Cozy Afternoon

This is a timed based mini game event where prizes are awarded only if players are able to finish the mini game before the timer runs out.

Completing a mini game will reward 20 Star Coins, exiting a mini game only 15 SC. Players must finish successfully the first mini game before trying the second one and so on.

The cloud row is the top prize of mini game #32, to get it one must finish this particular mini game under the time alloted.

Here are the facts for this event:

A second drop (Egg Timer) will be offered to help players resset the mini game timer. To do so, it will need to be activated while playing a mini game. The activate button of the Egg Timer is located in the top part of the event screen. Infos for the second drop:

You will get these drops when harvesting your crops on the Main field and Green Meadow only!

These are used to extend the timer on the mini-game.

Each player will get 1 set o Cookies to try the mini game.

Mini game 32 must be played before the timer runs out to get the cloud row.

Numbers will then be:

To get the cloud row (32 mini games completed)	To complete the event (40 mini games completed)

To get the 3 givers needed for the cloud row, players will need to get 400 Star Coins. Since each successful mini game awards 20 Star Coins, getting to mini game 32 for the cloud row will mean that players will have 640 Star Coins (32 mini games x 20 Star Coins per game), quite enough to buy them in the event shop.

There's a chance that players will not be able to complete a mini game even after using the 8 back "undo move" given to them. So the numbers above could be higher.

Northy, Thanks for starting the strategy thread and crunching the numbers.

I hate this mini-game. It was a little easier last time out because they made the movement of the items a little "less clunky", so that will hopefully be the case this time around and we'll all be able to move things about quickly and smoothly and thus finish before the timer goes off.

At this point, I don't think I can do this event on all my usual farms. Things are still crazy busy around here and on top of that, next week I'm out of town for a few days.

So I may just do this on SL's farm. Honestly, I should just do this PM23's farm as that farm is the one that could really use the CR. Oh, I don't know what to do...need moar coffee.

I'll try to remember to send neighbors drops. I've been horrible about that lately. Wouldn't blame anyone for moving on to a neighbor that remembers to log in and send gifts.

All that makes my decision an easy one - I shall give this event a pass! Definitely not my style at this point in my life. Join Northy in wishing well to all those who attempt it.

 

Thanks, Nordais, for the calc and for the "cloud tip". That makes all the difference I left my fields prepared but if it's not possible to grab the cloud row the event does not make any sense for me.

The prize of the 29th mini game was changed from a porcupine stall to a hair gel factory. This could be the push players needs to do the event!

Okay, as of this morning, only Sewinglady and this farm are doing the event. I'm going to give dumbunny's farm a few days off.

Thank you for the link to your screenshots and solutions. It helps to see the mini game layout and make a plan especially when we have a lot of baskets to work with.

I'm amazed that players are already finished and the event is just now approaching 24 hours! Speedy!

Miekje9 - THANKS! for the link - now I know where to go if I get stuck on a level. SL's farm just milled 27 cookies...almost there - got a wheel bonus yesterday, so took advantage of that. This farm is slogging along...I hope to have enough crops and drops to mill on Sunday.

Farmer's market tomorrow, so I lose that day entirely - too stupid tired to do anything after the market is over, we pack up and come home (think "mostly dead" from the Princess Bride).

Sunday is unpack the vehicles from the market, repack for the road trip. Somewhere, somehow, I'll find time to play off the mini-games.

PS: Goliath beetle is available at level 39 in the upcoming season IF you purchase the season pass...just so you know.

I bought them, it made up for having to give up several times!

In principal, I understand the mechanics of the game but sometimes, the little balls of wool will not move to where I want to put them and I cannot work it out. I studied Miekje's list but I cannot make head nor tail of how I can finish some of these.

I don't think I have a problem with getting enough coins to get what I want plus the CR items, I just find the mini-game a tad frustrating!

 

I click in the middle of the ball i wnat to move
It only hesitates when the game puts a cover on the basket
My instructions are easy the numbers go from left to right
And with 2 rows first 3 or 4 on the top and the rest on the bottom row

 

I still can't get the ones I want to move to go to the basket I want, they lift and then just drop back in the same basket. I am probably being a bit dense here - it happens - and I don't remember doing an event like this so I might just not have clicked what's needed!

I am still happy that I am able to get enough Star Coins for what I need. Maybe the penny will drop for me at some point in the next 21 games!

Edit: Oh, I have just seen your other pages, I will follow your directions and see if I can make some progress. Thanks Miekje9.
