There have been posts complaining about the small quantities of items offered in "Crates". The quantities don't bother me so much as they are recurring rewards from the magic stalk rows each time you harvest them.

What does bother me is that there is just so much clicking to harvest all the varieties of crates. I would like to see an option on the Magic Stalk row where you could check it and the crate received would go into a "Crate Container".

At this time you don't know when you are getting an item that you would like to save (harvester, party spin, etc) but this may change in the future. That is why I am suggesting the option to "check" the row for inclusion into the container. If it is not planned then all crates should immediately go to the "Crate Container"without checking anything.

Once the rows are harvested all the crates checked would go into the container and harvested with one click. Any that are not checked would be harvested separately.

It would be nice if this could be done for tools also -- place them all in a "toolbox" so that it takes one click to open them all. Currently they go into inventory in 3 sizes.

You sell the harvester function so that players can cut out all the clicking and then you add rewards that require more clicking whether you have the harvester function or not. I don't understand the logic behind this.

Very good idea nm56! I would prefer less clicking!
Because crates now require so much clicking I don't open them:p Maybe I will in the future...

I have couple of Crates that rewards me with Farm Wheel Spins but we can only have up to 20 Farm Wheel Spins. If we move these Crates into a Container as you suggested. Farmers are at risk of wasted Farm Wheel Spins this way if they already or near limit of 20 Farm Wheel Spins.

There are three different Toolboxes it been that way for many years. But the Harvester Function works in all Fields and Cloud Rows. I do not think it can be tweet to open special Boxes or Crates.

Yes it very Frustrating on Amount of Clicks it involves in this game. That why i have only One Farm now as i use to have two Farms. It hard to maintain a farm without the use of Harvester.

Farmers are now at risk of losing their spins because they do not open the crates daily because of all the clicking. If they were all placed in a crate there would be less of a risk of losing the Farm Wheel Spins because it would take one click to open them and they could be done daily.

The idea for the toolboxes was just added because it is a similar problem but since there are only 3 sizes it is not that big of a deal.

    nm56,

Any Crates Earn into Farmers Barn Stays until that Farmer open these Crates including those with Farm Wheel Spins, You can unlock these Crates at Farmer's Choice. Just saying do not leave too many Crates unlocked, some of them contain farm wheel spins ;)

Tools can be used to Build Production Workshops are they can be used on Menagerie, Arboretum or Manufactory Quests that need tools ;)

I know that they can be left in inventory locked but they could be forgotten about or a player might not know what crate holds what. Some seem pretty self-explanatory but some hold other items not in the category specified -- Shiny Things has PF, Wonder Trees and Stables, EP and TEP, Zany Animals includes Stars and GB's, Full Moon includes Toolboxes, Sweet Things has Spins, cc's and seeder -- etc.. This makes it hard to keep track of what crate has what. Some crates offer spins and PF -- so if I need the PF I might want to open it not thinking that I will go over the amount of spins if I receive a spin instead of PF.

Just trying to make the game easier because it is a game for us -- not a job. I guess a another suggestion would be to remove the maximum amount of 20 spins so that none are lost.

I love the crates, especially for storing extra farm spins and party spins.
I've just opened 9 crates of O' Zany Animals (gives bred animals) I got 1 Roaster, 1 Cocoa rabbit, 1 Ghost peacock, 1 Tabby cat, 1 Albino beaver, 1 Squirrel monkey, 1 Haflinger horse and 2 Nanny bees. I have 13 different kinds of crates filled with good stuff.
Crates are the prizes that never stop giving.xD

I would love for the maximum limit of spins be raised above the current 20. :)

As far as losing spins from crates, the crates do have an indicator on them for which ones give normal spins and shows you how many you currently have. You do not have to open all the crates at the same time but rather select a lower amount if you think you are in danger of going over. You can also spin the wheel several times before opening the crates to keep your spin number low.

In general terms, I'm in favor of less clicking:)

At this time I open mine daily. I have not lost any free spins. I do see that it is a possibility in the future though.

I have lost out on harvest bonuses and helpers because I made stupid mistakes in using my spins after I harvested my fields so they ended up going to waste. I try to open it in order: Daily Gift, EP's, CR, Spins and then harvest.

I did see the list of all the crates with their contents posted by Shooger Sweet stating that there is an indicator for spins but when opening mine I just have never noticed it. I will have to pay more attention instead of just clicking to get them all opened.

Right now we get spins from the CR and also from Mythic Phoenix EP Giver -- who knows what items in the future will give them. We also have 17 types of crates (including Crafting Box) -- how many more types will be added in the future?

As far as all the rewards we get (Cassie 101) we would still get them if they went into a container and you could leave the ones with Party Spins, etc. (or all of them if you wanted) unchecked so that they stayed in the original crate til they were opened. If we got a container it would require us to go through our crate rows once and decide which ones contained items that we wanted in the container and which ones contained items that we might not want to open right away because they had spins or harvest helpers (not coupons), etc.

I understand that someone might want to save their spins for when BP offers new giver items or special Farm Wheel prizes.

    I want less clicking.

I have a question regarding a post above though: I don't understand if there is a point in keeping non-perishable items stored in crates vs opening them and keeping them stored in inventory. If you have 21 crates of tools (or feed or birds, etc.) in a crate then you have the same quantity in inventory that you would have if you opened them -- the difference being that you would know what the crates contained if they were opened. At my levels (98 and 322) I don't see a need for this. Is there a reason or is this just a preference as to how you have them stored?

    I want less clicking.

I can't answer for anyone else but I open my crate weekly (usually on the weekend) because of the clicking. When I click on a crate, a popup opens and confirms how many I want to open. This happens whether it is one crate or 10. I actually love the crates and would love to see them continue as event rewards. I agree with Cassie...they are the prize that keeps giving and makes a big difference over time.

The only thing I save are the toolboxes. When BP releases a new production pen that asks for a rare tool, it helps to have toolboxes waiting as you might get lucky and have some in the toolboxes.

It Actually Takes Few Clicks to get to the Crates under the Special Tabs. I open my Crates just once a week. As most of my Crates are Earned by Activating my Cloud Rows, Which also needs lots of Clicking.

I have a method to make sure my stock of Farm Wheel Spins is almost Spent when it comes to my weekly unlocking of Crates. So no farm wheels spins can get wasted ;)

Just as Pups as said we can get to choose how many Crates we like to unlock at our own Leisure. As i also agree with Cassie that Prizes from Crates always makes a Difference.

As for Toolboxes i have no need to unlock them Frequently. As I do it when need Tools for Quest or Build Workshops. As i have a health Barn of Tools all except for Power Drills which i need more of :p

Just opened 24 crates of O' Happy Animals got - 10 Badgers, 8 Elephants, 8 Red Panda, 6 Weasels, 4, Sloths, 4 Deer. 4 Armadillos
    2 Tigers, 2, Raccoons.
I let the crates build up, then with just 2 or 3 clicks I open them.
More crates, give us more crates. :)

As stated above I never noticed the spin indicator so that does make a difference.

I still have the same opinion on crates although not as harsh. If you receive crates from Cloud Rows that keep on giving then if they did away with the crates you would receive the same rewards only they would go from the Cloud Row straight to your inventory instead of having to open a crate.

For example Crate O'Happy Animals listed in the above post would send the 1 animal directly to inventory (it would show on the pop up list what items were received) but you would still get the same 1 animal.

So the only reason for a crate would be for those items that have limits on them or for the harvest helpers that you might not want to use right away if you got them (no indicator).

I appear to be outnumbered so I guess BP can't please everyone so with the information provided I will adjust my playing.

Anyway, here's the situation -- my idea of a container sucks big time. Sometimes I think things through and submit ideas and other times I just blurt out my thoughts about things to be changed. That's okay with me though because this is not my job. I am just a player and use the forum as a sounding board when presenting ideas.

My new suggestion is that BP remove the maximum limit on items and just use crates for items that you might want to save for later such as the harvest helpers that become active immediately and have all other items go directly to inventory.

The crates are not the gift that keep on giving it is the Cloud Rows in the Magic Stalk that do that and for some reason when we have feedback for events some people complain about receiving "yet another cloud row" (I haven't reached that level where I don't want the items received in the rows/daily farm wheel spins, etc. yet). I like the Cloud Rows too even though I have to do all that clicking to open them when I don't have the harvester functioning. Maybe the appeal of crates is the "element of surprise" associated with opening a gift box.

Anyway if we end up with 365 different types of crates in the future some of you might change your mind too.

NOTE: Crate O'Treats can give 3 regular spins per crate -- others can give 1.
