Creepy Dinner Party Strategy Thread

Glad I did set my goal for this event to the PF in task 4 and didn't give up right away after the first couple of disapointing harvests. About an hour ago I got what I wanted! A quick review learned I'm about half way crop- and drop-wise.

With both fields open, using 1x1 plots and the extra day I think there's just enough time for me to finish the whole quest, despite the lack of longer timed crops. I feel the pain and struggle for those who don't have all fields open.

 

41 hours left, still growing occult puffballs here on 1x1s using CAC of course, 5,578 left to go. 609 drops left to obtain. Then I need to grow 510 more ghosts, 275 more abominable plants, & 429 more dracula orchids (will use my last TB on those regular MM crops). I already had the glow mold needed. As usual, planting duskshadow blooms overnight for (hopeful) better drops.

The 8 hour crops really do increase the drops - something has to, right? At this point in the event (approx 53 hrs left under extended time), let's hope it's enough. One really good thing, we get to dramatically increase our stock of wonder tree fruit and kitties - especially with the one day extension.

 

I dunno what i did but now got all 855 Skull Candles. As i still have the last part of Mushroom Forest to unlock. But i still need to get 5500 Occult Puffballs.

As i am trying to reap as many mm stuff using CR+TB, when CR is in Cool Down i swap it for Occult Puffballs. I have notice nuking Cat Fairies not giving me that many drops I do alternative growing shorter time MM Crops, Mid Timed Crops and Longest timed Crops. The Longest Crops i use overnight or when i am out

Please send Skull Candles to more needy farmers, not to me So only need 5 more rounds of Occult Puffballs

It is a bonus to extended this by another 24 hours, in which i shall reap mm Stuff needed for Mushroom Forest IV Quest

 

I think the clue to getting the drops is pretty much what Mooby did.

Which is going to be my plan as well. Sadly I do have another round of event crop to do, but I am over half way on the drops. And my "secret weapon" MM costume with the grow-fast-dance to go with it.

 

I was a day in and decided to bail. I am so close on getting at least one mushroom forest area open - so focusing on that instead.
Managed to get a second creepy willow tree from Jack. Sooo proud of my tree!

 

My Strategy using Combo of CR+TB on alternative days on 1st Day and 3rd Day(Today), Thanks for 1 day extension i can now use it on 5th day(Last Day). Day 2 and Day 4 is mostly be used to grow Occult Puffballs, using CAC on Moonlight Playing Fields + 3/4 of Mushroom Forest using 1x1 i can reap 1100 MM crops per harvest !

I got the first giver item and looks like I will also get the 2nd one as well. That is about all I could do. I have stopped growing the event plant and am focused on my mushroom forest goals. I'm working on getting a 2nd cat fairy stable as I still need 50 to open the first area. If I get enough drops doing this I might try to get to do silver on the 3rd and 4th step to get some PF. I'm not focusing on it just keeping it in mind if my drop count miraculously increases.

 

I'm still plugging away on event crops, not sure how many I need, not bothering to count, just grow, grow, grow. Missed out on 2nd harvest of +1 yesterday (by only a few minutes ), and couldn't convince wheel to give me another. I've managed to get the big giver, should have the next smaller next harvest, I think, and am predicting I'll get the smallest now that we have an extra day. CR is still up in the air, but may not even bother with that, tho would dearly love the PF, as I have a feeling my animals are going to have a voracious appetite come breeding . It may be my imagination, but paddles seemed to fall a little freer today on regular fields, so maybe if I hang upside down, tilt my head, and squint just right the phenomenon will carry over to MM fields .

 

I didn't do this event but I only have2 more plots of land to open so I'm happy congrats to all that did it and finished and don't give up to those still trudging along

 

I may not (read won't) get the CR, but I did manage to finish Mushroom Forest II, at least enough to open the land, yay! Knowing the CR is beyond reach in this nice, medium event , I think I'll switch to one field of orbs to get as much PF as I can, and one of crops needed for Mushroom Forest IV, so I'm ready once I have all the necessary pretty kitties.

 

I still have 2 parts of mushroom forest to open but I have to wait until I can get my tree fruit built back up again I have to save some of those to make food for the critters But I am very happy that I did manage to open more of an area. Whether it will make a diff in the event, who knows!

 

This event made me feel like I was a beginner. Not enough land to even come close to finishing and a drop rate so low as to be non-existent. I got two givers out of it which it a great outcome if I keep my beginner attitude.

 

So they only added a day to the MM event NOT the dinner party? Please let me know if I am seeing wrong.

 

They both were extended to end on 7 March instead of tomorrow.

 

It may be an exception but I just recieved no less as 22 ladles on a field with a 3hr crop. All previous harvests I got about 10-12 at the max on those, and only about 20 when harvesting a 6hr crop.

Does anyone else notice a higher drop rate too or am I the only one? (which I hope isn't the case).

 

Goodness, has someone finished? I have all but the last little plot open on second field and have been trying round the clock, have 2 magic trees, trophies maxed years ago and I really don't think it will be possible for me to finish. This event is insane in it's lack of drops.

 

Close to finish Karen. Tomorrow morning all drops should be there.

Yes, I too noticed the good drop on the normal MM crop. So good I won't fuss around with SG or anything like that.

I'm also 189 cats away from the last land in the mushroom forest. That is really good news to me. It's a pain to have un-opened land. Really itches my FOCD, it's like an ugly rash. Don't think a doctor can help, not sure they are good with Cat Fairy itching...

 

Moraine I'm about 45 Cat Fairies away from final area Yeah so I'll do that but I have been growing normal crops for days and drop rate from 3 hours crops has been around 8 .
I take my hat off to anyone who finishes, I may but I doubt it..
