Crest Icon re Gold/Silver Slots (consumable items)

Underneath the Event Timer Icon is a Crest Icon that contains a listing of any active buffs. It appears whenever we have active buffs regardless of whether they are generated from harvesting the cloud rows or from using one of our consumable items from our inventory. This can be confusing when we are working on events where we use buffs to increase harvest amounts, shorten time, etc. because it shows on the field whenever there is any active buff. If one of my consumable items ran out of time and was no longer active it would still be there if I had active buffs from the cloud rows or others that still had time left.

Could the Icon be changed so that there were small circles around it that were lit whenever we used one of our items from inventory and then would be blank when the time ran out?

 

Actually, you can see the active buffs on the bottom row. If they are there, they are active. Clicking on them will show how long and the impact. They do go blank when they are done.


So, I am not sure what you are asking, it seems like you just want what we already have?

 

You can see the active buffs after you click on the Icon. What I am asking for is to be able to see if they are active without clicking on the Icon. It is just sometimes when I am busy I don't notice that I need to add another buff (they don't all expire at same time so you can't just make a mental note to check back at xx o'clock).

This idea is not necessary as there are other ways to check if buffs are active:
Click on Icon
Watch as you harvest to see quantity of crops from each plot (does it include the extra?)

I just thought it might be easier to tell.

 

Ah, OK, I misunderstood. That is a decent idea, though there would have to be an easy way to turn it off, because not everyone uses craft products all the time.

 

There appear to be seven possible buffs that I could use (2 gold and 5 silver). My suggestion would be to have the Crest Icon surronded by 7 small circles (if there are more than 7 than there would be more circles). When the buff is active the circle would be lighted green and when inactive it would be lighted red (similar to neighbor actvity light indicators).

You're right -- didn't read it -- it just lookedthe same color as silver.

 

I'm not sure why BP would want to spend days writing a new program in order to save us one click on our crest icon!

 

BP claims they want the game to be enjoyable to "all players" and I think that the physical ease in playing the game would accomplish that better than some of the other changes being made. It might result in some new players that try the game staying instead of quitting because of all of the clicking required. All of these new players (and old) are possible consumers when BP sells game items : baskets, PF, SG, etc., as well as those items available at the Farmerama store: t-shirts, mugs, etc.

I can't think of a "good" reason not to do it. I don't think it takes them days of programming to make this change either.
