My strategy is to what till BBD and the PF sale. Buy a bunch of PF and then breed the base Cuckoos, Wooly-Snout (L1) like crazy until I have enough to complete the event with skips. Usually, what happens is that I have more than enough of the Rabbit-eared L2 Cuckoos but not enough Punkoos L4 or now Bee Cuckoos L5's so then I have to breed specifically to get the higher leveled Cuckoos to complete the event.

What's your strategy for this event? How many want to complete the whole event, because their FOCD demands it? And, How many want to cherry-pick the prizes and just do enough to get Candy the Pink Goat?

Good Luck to everyone in completing your goals!

My strategy is essentially the same :) I am going straight for the pink goat :inlove:

Last time I used approximately 400 power feed to get the pink rabbit, but by that time I had gotten 8 punkoos as skips. So with some good punkoo skips the pink goat might actually be easier to reach :p at least one can hope

Sglick- I'm using the same strategy too. I usually get good skips and still have some leftover in the barn. I'm going all the way....my FOCD demands it xD. Plus I don't have a Pink Goat, can't wait. :p
    Good Luck everyone!!

Since cuckoo events are now always overlapping BBD's...I try to be smart about how to go about it. I'm focusing this weekend on finishing bats!
For cuckoos.... I breed to silvers to last 2 levels...when I have the top prizes I want...I do cherry pick the others and usually leave 1st 2 levels undone(low prizes).......basically I go for top prize (bee cuckoo) and work my way backward.:p

This time BB day starts at the same time as the Cuckoo breeding event, Woot Woot! I will do the same as sglick breed all lower Cuckoos ( have 8000) to get to the higher lvl Cuckoos. The prizes are pretty awesome, and yes will go straight for the Pink Goat ( kinda wish I didn't just recently build one) but skip the Red Goat Dairy, just don't need it with all the Goat milk trees and I already have 2 in inventory.

I did not do the first cuckoo breeding and only dabbled in the second, so I do not know what to do this time around. I am so torn on BBD because I have other breeding goals, darn it, and really can't justify using so much PF for cuckoos and the others. Normally I would see how long I could hold out and do a little breeding with whatever I PF I had left at the end.

If the skips sound like they are not too terrible, maybe this time I will just go for it. Those pink stalls are so tempting...I have no pinks. Looks like BP's diabolical plan to shake the BBs loose from this farm might be working. <shakes fist in the air> :p

    My strategy is different.
Use the BBD to breed other animals for the FSQs.
No use chasing a shadow with my paltry PF inventory...

I'm just glad BB starts tomorrow, instead of Saturday, or I wouldn't be able to participate, at least not fully :p. I also will be working silvers straight to the pink goat, only need 8 Rabbit Eared Cowkoos to be able to get that lovely pink pen :inlove:. I've got 74 wooly snout, 20 rabbit eared, 12 mustachioed, and 9 punkos from last cuckoo event, so can apply the other 5 punkos to breeding the bee-koos to try for the mystery stables, 'cause I love those mystery stables!:D Will decide as I go whether to finish all levels, depends on how much PF I use up - that's the only thing about this event I dislike, is the massive amount of power feed it takes. Other breeding quests don't take as much. But, I've been milling PF since last cuckoo event, so hopefully in good shape. Good luck everyone, have fun!

@-Mir85-, You are right!! We can't skip the Red Goat Dairy, I read through the Faqs too quickly! Oh well, no biggy...not like we have limited space in our inventories, that's a plus:D:p

Since tomorrow is Happy Stables Day and I will be with family most of the day, I will leave out my stables to collect double EP and do Baby Boom and cuckoos on Saturday. Last cuckoo breeding, I stopped as soon as I had enough punks to finish. So this time, I am starting with less than 20 wooly snouts and rabbit ears so I will have my work cut out for me. I really hope we get some good skips. By the time I get to the good prizes my hands and wrists hurt so much from all that clicking that I begin to not care anymore. I only breed here on pnp because doing it on a 2nd farm would just be torture.
Can't wait to read all the results everyone gets!

Put out as many animal stables/pens as you can before the event starts so they will be ready to "harvest" right after the event starts. (Make sure the event has started before you harvest.) Along with the double EP, cuckoos will "drop" based on the amount of time the pen took to mature. If you have plenty of Power Feed and are at a level to breed cuckoos, try to get some pink jelly to cut the time of breeding in half. You will need to "consume" it before you put animals into the breeding pens. You can ask one of your neighbors to gift some to you if you don't have any or you can buy it in the market. Don't worry about completing the quests your first time. They return and your cuckoos not donated will stay in your inventory. Consider breeding one other type of animal to help you complete some of the other quests. The baby boom and possible skips make it worthwhile.

This is the third cuckoo quest right? I think I did one, skipped one. I'm thinking about skipping this one too and focusing on making money again. I haven't had a chance to check any numbers yet. Probably won't until Sat morn.

rarasisbumba, depends on your goals and resources.

No pun intended: my best advice for any cuckoo breeding is to carefully avoid it. It drains huge amounts of rare and expensive resources for almost nothing in return, comparatively speaking.

Since I have 12 punkoos in barn, I'll go for the pink goat pen by attentively stepping only on the silver steps of the ladder. If I happen to have any bee-cuckoos (whatever they are called) via skips from lowest level breeding, I'll get those Mystery Stables; if not, I won't care.

I'll start breeding tomorrow, as soon as it's available, since last editions seemed to show better skipping results at earliest stages of BB.

PS: And a red goat dairy..... Come on.... They laugh at us. Next cuckoo breeding edition do expect a pink chicken egg farm...... Veery enticing for players of any level, let alone higher level players...

Pink gloom hangs over our heads. Ask Damocles for suggestions.

    read third cuckoo FAQ briefy,
So many requirement for little PF return. I may skip it....I will really think about this.

I had 9279 cuckoo base on stock. any pump up cuckoo is meaningless to me when BP set the
exchange value nil, We can't donate them to farm trophy like the 1st cuckoo event.

I save enough GB, maybe I open the panda breed & use the DDB to breed some:p

Perhaps he would remind us not to wish for fortune however, Cicero asked: Does not Dionysius seem to have made it sufficiently clear that there can be nothing happy for the person over whom some fear always looms ?
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt also weighed in during his first inaugural "The only thing we have to Fear... is Fear itself."

Okay, got the pink goat, yay! Best skip so far has been mustachio from regular. May continue on a bit to try for those stables, not sure, as need to breed some basic breeding animals still and don't want to use up all my PF. Just going to have fun a bit, now that my goal of the pink pen is met. Good luck everyone!

Banjo, love your entry into Mir's competition, so funny! And creative!

edit: just got a bee cuckoo from regular, woo hoo!:D

Congratulations spotsbox! You are fast! How many power feeds did you use?
If there isn't a baby boom event I won't try the event....

Me too spots :inlove: I am super happy :D It took 200 power feed to get the pink goat pen. Last cuckoo event I spent 400 power feed to get the pink rabbit. Then I was desperately trying to finish levels in the FS giving power feed (didn't buy any). Since then I have been saving power feed (didn't breed much last month) and now I actually have almost 200 left :D

Will do a little more breeding tomorrow (not cuckoos :wuerg:) and then save the rest for the donkey breeding in only three weeks  (The preview calender is out :D)

Good luck every one, hope you get good skips and have fun :)

PS. Arielh, baby boom has started :inlove:

Edit: Meant to say I have almost 200 left, not 20
