Cuckoo's Again

Thank you for mentioning this. My decision on what to do is based on this info. My main farm has <150 PF so I will pass on any breeding and save PF for donkeys. My third farm only has one goat milk tree and I would love the goat pens for it, but it only has 153 PF so no breeding this time for it either. My second farm has 400+. I'll do a bit of breeding there, non cuckoo, but save at least 200 for the donkeys. Seems that is a good number of PF to start those types of events with.

I'm getting very few skips from non-cuckoos and cuckoos are very few but I did get a bee-cuckoo and a snoot-nosed from 4 cuckoos!

 

Sglick - I closed my eyes and thought pink, pink, pink.
And then I harvested 2 Fox pens and an Orange goat Oh well there's always next time.

I did finish the whole event, so strange I had to breed up to the rabbit eared but got all the bees and punkoos from basic cuckoos.

Today I got a bee and a rabbit eared from 4 cuckoos! I'm now waiting to see what Secret Stables I have earned.

With my 3 mystery pens I got an Orange Pig and Orange Rabbit (not bad) and a Mole.

 

Well my luck was not good. I went through 600 power feed and didn't get very far at all. My breeding results were mainly just the next level and twins were of the cuckoos. I only got a handful of skips and those were just 1 level up. Never saw a puncko or a bee and just have 3 mustaiched from breeding wooly snouts. Started with 9036 cuckoos and have 10315 now.

 

Same here. It seems my farm has been secretly leveled in the past few weeks and even all bumpy roads got their asphalt: almost no significant skips (except for the tiki monkey from plain ones, once, and a sultan camel from plain ones, once). Anyway, that's a lot of feed for my stocks for sale.....

No bee-cuckoos, but I got the pink goat thing.

Aluntino - For breeding this BBD for cuckoos and regs....almost no skips at all! Are we being punished for our new level???

I finished level 5 & 6 and part of 4...but now that BBD is over so is my breeding. I went through a serious amount of pf and pheromones...egged on by 1 of my neighbors, who said she was getting amazing skips! Not me....the good news....I did finish bats!!! Woo hoo!!! But did it the hard way....1 agonizing level at a time...since the very begininning of their introduction. I don't want to see another bat for a veeeeerrry long time!

Thank you Mir, JJenks and pnp....except for buying a few vampire bats( when they were reasonable in the market),,,yes I bred them all myself! Ugh! I haven't quite decided which animal will be my next focus...

JJenks - so very happy for you....if not a bit jelly.

 

Congrats Brook, I may just try that the next cukoo event. I have so many of the breeding quests up to level 7 and just need to work on the 3 highest tiers. I haven't finished a single one of them yet.

 

Congratulations, Brooke! I have not yet savored the sweet taste of breeding quest completion victory, but I am sure it feels good! I mostly breed the hard way, too...I always think about buying and selling them to get ahead, the overall cost is obviously much better that way. And it is probably faster, too. But I just can't keep up with the crazy fluctuation in the bred animal market so I don't even try. I just slowly but surely try to make little dents each BBD. Congrats on finishing bats! Whoo hoo!

 

So, I got this IGM from farmer_broke, asking me what's going on over there (on my farm)? I guess he got all the PF gifts as I bought quite a bit ok more like mass amounts. I told him that, I'm just over here going out of my mind!! Breeding all day long for three days with little to no breaks...just plain nutso!! Finished the Crazy Cuckoos the first two hours with getting all Bee Cuckoos from skips...pretty lucky there. Seemed like all the other animals (Especially the Island animals) were strictly by the book. I did get a few pink teasers though....Desert Ship Camel, Piggy Bank Pig ( built a pink truffle farm, woot woot!) and two Flying Pigs. Then ran out of Pandas, Camels and Fish...darn it. Wonder if the Pink production pens on the Island will ever happen, just seems way out of my reach for a long long time Had a blast with the Cuckoo quests! Congrats goes to all!!

 

Well, I knew that I would miss the bulk of BB weekend as it started at 17h00 and working all Saturday and Sunday, so I was really looking forward to a breeding frenzy yesterday!

I am sort of at a standstill with all the other breeding animals - I have only managed to finish the Bats (well done Brooke by the way!) and am at all sorts of levels for the others. I am just waiting for a non-breeding event and a BB weekend to coincide and then will try my luck for some of those oh so elusive pink animals at level 10!

So, looking at the Cuckoo quests I realised that I hadn't touched the first one and barely made a dent on the second one so I had my work cut out. With 400 PF on my baby farm and 300 PF on this one, thought I might be able to finish at least one. But no, on my little farm I am left needing two Bees - not bad. For the Covert Cuckoos quest I need just 8 Mustachios and 4 Punkoos. I only finished the first two levels of the Cuckoo Kids (and then only because I had surplus Snout Noses - and I do like to finish things!).

On this farm, still not bad: one Bee and 56 Wabbits for Return of, 8 Mustachios and 8 Punkoos for Covert Cuckoos and exactly the same as the other farm for Cuckoo Kids.

Oh, and nearly forgot, both farms are now the proud owners of the Pink Goat Pen - Wahoo! My baby farm's first pink pen.

So next time, I'm going all out for the new Cuckoo quest (if it falls right with my shifts!) and then finish off these ones - that is if I get a few more good skips! Ever the optimist!

Edit: Secret Stables on this farm - Moose Reserve and Orange Duck (not bad) but on Chevrefeuille I got a Dove which I didn't have on that farm so I'm happy with that!

Brooke - hats off for completing the Bat-quest! I seem to be stuck on level 6/7 on all the breeding quests. It's such a huge investment to go any further that I'm hemming and hawing whether to do them or not. Probably will one day, when we get Jumbo PF-trees

illy - I agree, just a normal BB event, without any new breeding animals or new quests, would be very welcome!

I "cherry-picked" from all 3 quests but didn't finish any of them. Did get quite a few PF and both the Pink Rabbit and Pink Goat, hurrah! Would have liked to get my hands on all three EP-givers with upgrades but my skips were almost non-existing so I stopped when it wasn't fun anymore.

HI Hatzeva I did the same as you I Cherry Pick the Cuckoo Quests, for me it wasnt worth getting any Bee Cuckoos, But is worth doing those where you get good amounts of Power Feeds Refunded so you can do Cuckoo Breeding Quests using Better at Next Barter and Trade Event

HI Dbayes The Super Breeder, Who hoard Pink Pens LOL The Pink Pens on Main Farm is ok but would be wonderful to get Pink Pens on Bahamrama such as Pink Monkey Pen, Pink Camel Pink or Pink Panda Pen, They cost a fortune to Make, or Happy to Use up a few Thousand Power Feeds to do mania Breeding.....Or you get extremely lucky to get two super skips to make a pink pen !!!

Well Done to All Those who did well with Breeding and Cuckoo Breeding I have 131 Wooly Snout Cuckoos in my Barn they would help me complete level 1 Next Cuckoo Quest To Get Back 90 Power Feeds So will have a head Start, Sadly we cant buy Breeding Cuckoos in the Market just like Breeding Animals
