Aluntino, Hops are Not giving BEP's ....just disappointing.

What is up with growing something on the island and NOT getting the BEP for it!? This is very disappointing!

 

No BEP for me either. I know that has happened before with event crops. So...is it a glitch? Or is BP making this choice on purpose?

No, it's not a glitch: I paid no attention but, if you hover your mouse over the planted hops dl in Baha, the symbol shown in the box is that of EPs, not B-EPs.

You're all too kind, but I'm not: it's, for sure, disappointing, but, for me, above all, it's annoying. And without any warning: mods must have not been warned either before they prepared the FAQs (I checked both the English and the Italian ones: no mention to this in neither of them).

Fortunately, I had already planned not to grow any hops dl in Baha beyond the 2 first nuking rounds. I'll rush back to Baha crops as soon as the current 2nd round is done there.

 

I have gone back to the FAQ and it says that the hops dl are supposed to be giving BEP!!

 

It is disappointing as I had counted on using that field for this event since RL is hectic for me. I don't want to lose a chance for BEP so will have to rethink how I will proceed. Event crops don't give good BEP anyway but with pets and buffs, at least is would be better than none. Not sure what is going on with BP that updated info is not available.

Tis the season for me to be really busy at work atm so I was going to use Baha, but at the expense of BEP, I may have to rethink and replan. Thanks for letting us know Aluntino.

 

*rat cookies* I just practically mortgaged the farm to buy enough stuff in order to get enough stars to get Bahamarama opened. All with the thought of growing the hops there and thus earning a lot of BEP really fast. So not happy right now.

I'm thinking the same as aluntino - as soon as I get this second set of hops harvested from Bahamarama, I'm going back to Bahamarama crops and animals... I'll get done what I can get done.

*sigh* I really needed as much time as I can get before going on vacation. Not getting BEP is really bad, but there is no way I can afford not to grow on Baha. At least the drops so far were okay, will see if I can get anywhere with it.

 

My first harvest of Majoram yielded 24 garnets on the main farm, only 1x1 plots, no trees or stalls, sounds ok to me, now I managed to finish all the silver steps, and I got my first Tilia tree, good luck all.

 

One hint, particularly to newer players.... When looking at those 1000 CC and more animal prices, check out the price of a pen, to raise your own, in perpetuity... (you can always store them when not needed)

 

Do you get better drops using 1X1 plots instead of the 2X2?

 

I think you get better drops from 2x2 plots but wait for someone more experienced to answer you.

 

So far it has taken me more than 6h just to get the starter seeds planted with the login/logout problems. I tried rebooting my laptop. Guess I'm going to lose the whole day since BP is in bed now. This is one of the reasons I prefer playing games on my eTablet, don't have these kind of problems with my eTablet games.

EDIT: The answer is not a simple one. It is dependent on your trophy levels, trophy placement, crops planted... The lower the levels, the less it will help you. The higher the levels, the more it helps with drops.

EDIT2:
If you are using CAC/PJam for per plot increase in yield then it is best to use either 1x1s or 1x2s to get the best effect. Higher drops is a bonus.

 

Drops so far have been great, I'm at 230 already! I'll get all of the silvers done today which is a first for me. I'll have to rethink a bit since the hops don't give BEP and see if I can get it done without using baha.
