    So on task 2, where exactly am I supposed to get the fireflies? Is this something I'll have to buy to continue? Because that seems tacky.

    Hi TurkeyToes, you can get the darklight firefly lair(s) in Jack's Shop. They can only be placed on the MM field. Happy spooky farming.
    p.s. I'm not a mod, one should be along directly

    You can assist by making the game fair & not requiring people to dump money in to continue. That's never been the case before, so if this is a new precedent, I probably won't be playing much longer.

    You do not need to buy them with BB's, they can be bought with Spooky crops. From the FAQ:
