do I need to earn all the big bang upgrades...

    Hello elimeno,

    The Base item gets upgraded depending on the amount of "Bigger Bang" upgrades applied. If you want the final reward from the Incredible Firework, you need the base plus all 4 "Bigger Bang" upgrades.
