Why is it that occasionally I have to give the animals double feeds? I have seen it many times - with feed and water and cleaning - that you do it and it asks for it a second time. I thought it was just a glitch; that the first feed (or whatever) hadn't registered. But, I am currently doing a timed quest and feeding my egg layers power feed to finish in time, which means milling it and keeping an eye on the number. Hence, I noticed, alarmingly, today that when I fed the chickens with the feed and the feed icon appeared again, that after doing that I was 2 feeds down!
Is there a reason for this, or are my animals conspiring to bankrupt me?

Did you check again after a while?....I have this issue with adding Pheromones to the breeding pastures...I fill 4 Pheromones although I should get one free.....later when checking the total consumption everything is in check again...Normally there is a lag between any action and registering or synchronizing it with the game server, so far, even if it took a while, everything was accounted for...

Yes, Michael - I even rebooted my computer. It happens a lot with planting too - asking you to plant a second time - but with the powerfeed, this is a serious issue! I have been milling new each night (at 10 hours, I mill it when I log off), and completing quests to get a stock, and then the game nicks some. Currently I am biting my monitor!

Sorry to hear that.....I hope a moderator will take care of this, either checking and hopefully putting your mind at ease (or your teeth) or confirming your doubts and getting you a reimbursement.....unless your forum id is the same as your user id you should also post user id and id number to give the moderator a head start....both you can find on the bottom center of your game frame.....good luck!

In the meantime, I have noticed if I wait a second (after the second request for feed, harvest, water, etc.) it clears itself. Seemed like a lag issue to me. I was always getting in a rush and just giving it what was asked, but found out by accident that patience is key. Hope this helps you!

True Lab, I have seen that too - but I get into a rhythm, and since the food is prior to the water, I have double clicked it before it registers in my slow brain :music:

    Hello Chris_2_4

There is no glitch that can be fixed on our end - this could happen due to lag or outdated Flash data, so all we can do is advise you to not run other Flash based applications / sites or a lot of other software / apps while playing Farmerama, and keep all your drivers and Flash player up to date. Clearing your browser cache and cookies as well as the Flash cache, should also help.
    Best regards,

:( I always clear the cookies before I start, the adobe was updated yesterday and I have nothing else running (aside from the things microsoft make run) while I am playing - yet this double feeding still happens. Another symptom that I think may be of the same issue, is when you harvest an area and plant, but the area stays as mud and you can't do anything until the plant seeds appear. Is this not down to your server or the code not running fast enough?

I am afraid not :( Occasionally, there might be issues with the servers causing lag, and slow game experience - however, not all the time. If this would be a general issue, we would be flooded with complaints. What browser are you using at the moment?

    Best regards,

I use google chrome, as it seems the best for flash. Maybe, like me, people take the slow seeding thing etc as just a necessary evil; it was just the loss of the power feed that drove me to rant

A-ha! :p In this case, please be so kind and check if your Pepper Flash, the built it flash player for Chrome, isn't enabled. Having both Flash players enabled can lead to conflicts and glitches. Instructions can be found in this guide.

Did this help? If not, could you try a different browser (Mozilla Firefox if possible - just to see if you experience the same).

    Best regards,

    Hi Teddy
I am familiar with that issue and disabled chrome's inbuilt flash many months ago. Guess that is all then. Thanks

    Hello Chris_2_4 :)

I'm glad to hear that - I will insist a little bit however, because it can be enabled again out of nowhere without you being aware of. Double checking this would be great, when you have a chance.

I'm going to leave the thread open, so you can add your comments to this topic in the next few days, and see how things are going, if there is anything else we can think of.
    Best regards,

Yep, still disabled. But, since you are nice enough to leave the thread open, I would like to invite anybody else who has these issues [seeds not planting immediately, double feeding or watering of animals etc, and (forgot to mention this one) not being able to leave a location: ie, when you click on the road sign, it just clicks and you are stranded in the field and must refresh the page to get navigation working again] - to add their experiences. If nobody does, then it is just me Teddy ;)

I do have some of these issues. For me it relates to my wireless mouse doing double clicks when I want only one click. It's not my battery as it does this even with a fresh one. It is just a "twichy" mouse. It is older so it might be because the internal works are sticky or worn. I just try to be very careful when clicking. While it occasionally looks like it "double" feeds, if I go out of that field and return, my feed count is correct (at least when I have checked). I will agree that the navigation is annoying but not insurmountable.

I get stranded in the fields, too, where I'm stuck just clicking the sign but can't go anywhere. Lots of people chiming in here might be a little difficult to manage from a trouble-shooting perspective, though, so Teddy if it's better for us each to open our own threads, just let us know.:)
