Drops Question

Are drops based on stall EP or growth time? Ive heard some say EP and some say growth time. With drops being so bad on event crop this time around, I have enough event crops, but no drops, so I want to put out pens, but am a bit confused on to concentrate on High EP amounts or time, as some stalls have high EP and shorter growth time and yet some stalls have lower EP with longer growth time, so not sure which to go by. TIA for any advice

Drops are calculated on time not EP. A longer grow time will produce more drops than an item that has high EP.

Thanks so much! Glad to know. I will try will longer grow time pens and see what happens, I need to get my drops. I always did EP, I will try some longer grow time and some PF.

NFQ you can close, but first what is limit for menagerie, aboretum, manufactories? TIA

ETA does the grow time, start with base, or just with the overall time of pen, for example if a pen takes 24 hours for a base, but with red upgrade say it takes, 18 hours, will it do better as just a base or an upgraded pen?

 

As the base item has a longer grow time, it would be better. This applies to stables/workshops/trees placed on the fields or in the Storage Houses. You only have to consider time, if you can, for example get more than one harvest in a 24 hour period to see if harvesting something twice a day may award more drops than harvesting once a day (XXL trees for example)
