SOS Easter Extravaganza Drop Items/Pruning Shears

    Starts : March 24, 2016 - 14:00 (Thursday)
    Ends : March 30, 2016 - 14:00 (Wednesday)

    Crop :
    • Easter lily.
    • Time taken for growth is 05:00 hrs.
    • Grown on all lands

    Drop :
    • Pruning Shears
    • Drops from plants , trees, stables, workshops.
    • The Magic tree will not give drops during this event.

    Easter Eggs :
    • 6
    • special event item
    • can be collected in the event layer, by searching the event 'rooms' / 'steps'.
    • No mill production is necessary
    [IMG]

    Event Requirements

    NameAmount
    Easter lily15,000
    Pruning Shears250
    Easter eggs6
    Carrots1,500
    Chicken100
    Walnuts200
    Apples120
    Orchids600
    Lilacs600
    Lettuces800
    Event Cloud Row
    Effect
    : 8000 EP, 14000 CC
    Cooldown time: 14 hours
    Requires the 4 event items

Therefore the cloud row is worth acquiring as it gives you 14,000 CCs every 14 hrs( which can be safely said every day).

if you don't want to grow the event crop,

    1. you can easily do the following levels 1,2,8,7.
With just these 4 levels you can get

    • the event sticker,
    • 2 carrot apple chutney (level2),
    • 2 12 hr coupons for all helpers
    • and 4 wonder trees(level 7).
Seems like a very small price to pay for these goodies.
    • If you have the 65 pruning shears by the time the event approaches the end by all means do level 6, getting a reward of 4 wonder stables. From there decide just what you want to do.
Thanks to tpabird for suggesting the above strategy.

Many thanks, One-Two! The maths wasn't too complicated but my brain is a little work weary so I am grateful that you have done the sums. Not too bad - think the Devs have given us the chance to participate and enjoy a restful Easter. :inlove:

The SOS thread is up and running. Hopefully not many will need help with this one (I make it 42 Pruning Shears daily but added a couple for good measure!) :music:

    Hi One-Two:)

Thanks for starting us off with compiled info:)

Just a note....you have the start/finish time as 14:00 but the OA says 15:00. That is later than what we are used to.

Thanks One-Two for doing the calculations :D My brain is currently a bit too tired to do the math.
It seems that the drop rate will be lower although less drops are required so good luck to everyone :)
Thanks for pointing that out. Based on the German FAQ, it says 14.00 but the English OA says 15.00 so I'm not sure which is correct, most likely 14.00

maybe it's the summer/day light time difference. Germany changes time on the Easter weekend. So we start one hour later and end at our usual time. One hour less time for us in the US.

Yes, puppiesnponies & penguilnz. You are right. OA says event starts at 15.00. But in all other forums it says 14.00 hrs. So shall we wait for sometime to see what the correct time is. (It goes without saying that I did the calculations even before our FAQ was posted based on other language FAQs with the help of translators. That's the reason for disreprencies)

Thanks Dienstag. Then I will change my first post.

I too was thinking the same ;)

SOS included in the first post.

You say we get drops from all items, but the FAQs say "from all fields" -- are you sure it includes the other items and not just crops? (just checking)

    6days, 15000 (5hr) crop, but only demand 250 drops
predict drops rate will be quite harsh
so, well prepare your field for inital start
don't harvest your tree before event.
carnation is a must, if RL make time not possible.
Used plant refinery early boomer and/or SG love,(Rose is a good choice)
if time is possible, use CF, with super grow shorted your time
you may get a unexpected drops amount.

A CR yielding ccs!!! Yay I am definitely in [IMG]

I think somebody expected rabbits to be part of this event. They were cleared more than once today and I sold quite a few big lots - and they were not cheap 8)xD
Somebody is messing with cuckoos too - not sure it is caused by speculations of this event, but they are skyrocketing in this mkt and so are Angel's trumpets needed for the feed.

I got everything for the event plus what others might need to buy from me:p Just come with full pockets! xD
For a start I am selling carrots and wheat and a few lots of chickens. But I will hold on to the rest a bit longer and see what happens - maybe I should not empty my barn this time:oops:

I don't have any trouble getting drops so I will not prepare for this event, just keep doing what I do and get them along the way. I will use baha mostly for event crops so the event won't interfere with my plans.

    Good luck to everybody:)

Does this event seem absurdly easy? I'm hoping that they are making it eggstra-easy for those traveling or busy with kids. I'm hoping that the drop rate will be relatively generous. That's the only real question. If the drop rate is anything remotely decent, this should be super-easy.

While I don't have everything already in my barn, pre-growing crops has begun. I should have no real trouble with the apples or walnuts. I just need a couple of days. I don't think chickens will be either, I just need a few more. I may go put out a couple of extra coops, or maybe not.
    I'm not worried.

I'm going to try growing the event crop mostly on my Baha fields only. I am sucking air hard on experience points over there and I can use the boost. I'm strongly debating growing main crops for Garden Expo quest on the main field. I will most likely use the mains just for tomorrow to get an initial jump.

Biggest challenge for me will be no mechanization beyond a 3 hr coupon and the 2 12 hr ones from this event. That may alter my strategy, not sure yet.

EEEEEK .. there's no strategy requiered in this Event.

Guess they made it straight forward on purpose as they know like we do, in real life seeking Easter Eggs never is an easy task!

Happy egg hunting everyone and enjoy the festive weekend ahead. Have a delicious brunch and an extra smile to the ones you love.

PS. Just be aware April Fools Day is around the corner.

gaura, I am not sure of your level, but there is some harvester only rewards available in Bahama bar FSQ. Level two, and to get them you need sugarcane, grapes and pineapples.
Alternatively, there are all harvester rewards level ten on products like milk, eggs etc. - you may consider buying cheap eggs and fill the silver levels just to get to level ten.......
    Good luck !!!

@gaura I too am low on harvester functions (@davidb1yth007 have already claimed most of FSQ harvester rewards). Will start with 1x1's while I have harvester functions, then switch to 1x2's when harvester runs out. 1x2's still give a decent crop return with CAC and much easier on manual harvesting and drops are OK. (I do have 4 Howie Donuts which help with drops - I move them to each field before harvesting).
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE & May the drops be with you!

EDIT: Thank you @12ss12 for putting together all the requirements.

I see the opportunity of using plenty strategy on this event. I have begun with the trading of 9,000 more chickens from a wonderful contact and placed an order for another 20,000.

I'll fill the main field with 36 hour production pens.
BAHA and rainforest will go to all trees.
2 fields of chickens will be produced now
When complete the meadow will go raspberry using's 1x1s (refinements already active so no expense)
Mill will produce the chicken feed as I want all costs to be reduced from the entire chichen chain
glade will run cuckoos twice (still seeking to pay completely for the pens)
800 poo will be bought on the market and listed at the highest price possible
When cuckoos are complete I will fill glade with angel apple trees for safe keeping
See no need to activate CAC immediately. Will do so when 10 event seeds are ready. SG, water, and poo will be used on the first 10 seeds only in 2x2 squares with no hurry hurry. No further use of manure during the event. No hurry hurry.
The glade with free water will be used first an a gradual change to 1x1's across all fields with the raspberry last.
Harvester will come from awaiting quest reward.
100 seeds a day will be routinely purchased and all crops required will be grown with no barn reliance.

The intentional strategy will have include no effect on my barn holdings in any area. For instance, even the ostriches, the feed for them and the crops to mill the feed for them will be produced during the event. Nothing in this event will be taken as an easy given until otherwise indicated.

I see a market price disadvantage in using carnations and roses unnecessarily in all cases. (I have been able to acquire over 960,000 roses growing less than 1,000 from event growers and they were cheap.) One can begin the event with a much higher priced crop other than carnations and sacrifice very little ep or drop chance in order to gain the advantage.

I see no stars from this event and expect stars to be called for in the near future.

The cloud row appears decent for ep. If one harvests it once a day then from that cloud row alone one will have over a million ccs from it in 75 days. Although there are other favorable benefits to this event, the ccs over time yield the compensation for the event junks.

The growing of 15 gazillion junks does not seen so pleasurable in conjunction with the drops required.

I need to get my chickens produced as none of the 100,000 I hold are to give to such an event.

There is time. I recommend working strategically and efficiently.

    Good luck to all.

PS ..... No new farm will be started but will check on the bunny_broke farm hahahahaha
