Like: the lillies, I wantz to keep them!
    Like: the overal graphics
    Like: the giver items design
Like: cloud row gives big sack of CC! (whoohoo, finally, even if it's not a CC giver ITEM)
    Like: freebees among the challlenges!
Like: low level players can also get some rewards in the early stages of the event field, very nice!

Dislike: droprate. REDICULOUS. Even if medium difficulty, the low drop rate feels just like an annoyance, not a challenge.
Dislike: no drop from magic trees! This is hurtful, we LOVE our magic trees! Why don't you understand that BP?!
Dislike: No CC giver item, again. Still hoping for those to be added occasionally.
Dislike: I miss the Easter eggs popping up on the fields everywhere. I enjoyed that!

Solutions: If you want to increase the difficulty on droprates, just ask for more, and have us harvest loads of them! Thát is fun, and gives us the feeling of "HARVESTING!" big time. Which is what we want. So if it has to be more difficult, just ask for more, instead of lowering the droprate!!!!

KEEP the magic tree, and re-introduce it!!! We just LOVE it. You can't throw it out! We will be angry if you do, as it's a little bit of magic on the long term players farms. (and I think the newbies should get one too)

Design a CC giver item more often.

Have some surprises pop up on the field, perhaps a pheromone, turbo mulch, other little things.... concealed in easter eggs or sumting....

Good news: We have a cannon as a prize in this event.

Bad news: If we want to use the cloud row, we can't have cannon on a field.

Not only do we love our magic trees, it's fun to set off all the cannons at once and see their effects overlap.

  3. I have harvested four successive event crops on one Baha field and not one shear has appeared from the crops. I don't mind a challenge, but when it relies on drops and the drops are non existent this isn't a challenge, it's impossible to do.

Unless I am missing something, then I find this event Very boring. Was hoping the "search for eggs" would be a little more interesting and the shear drops are very poor...
For me, a real let down but doing it due to FOCD.

Two years ago, we had an amazing Easter Event. I think it was the first time, we had seen that particular mechanism where we 'fed' an animal appearing on the margins of each field. It was fun and the rewards were fantastic! Last year we had the same style event but the rewards were predictably diluted.

So, in agreement with others, this year's Easter event is tame and lame..... suffering badly when compared with other years.....

Check out my drops from Main, Glade, Baha Main, and Rainforest...all lilies!
    I got 4 shears.
That's rude of them to exclude the magic tree from this event.
I thought it fishy that there were a mere 250 drop items needed and to change a mechanism on the fly because you can isn't very wise when you're depending on alot of players.
A person will start thinking of other things in life to do.
Their April Fools prank got released early, are we supposed to laugh?

I think it is a nice event :) The easter lilies are very pretty! I had half of the required drops 32 hours into the event (that's without taking any special measures and not using my Howies), so drops won't be a problem. The "free" rewards when you find an easter egg is a nice touch :)

One nice thing with the previous event with all its many tasks was that you could always donate something after a harvest. But it got a bit boring with soo many, and it was annoying to go through the lists and calculate how much more you needed of the event crops and drops. Here we can see everything at a glance, and it is very easy to keep track of how much more is needed. So I like this setup better :)

I'm enjoying the event :) The drops are lower than normal, but we don't need a lot.

A nice easy event for Easter:)

I like that this event is more inclusive of lower level players as they can do just a few steps and reap benefits.

At first I wasn't happy about the drop rate either, 3 fields of carnations and 2 fields of panda's plus 28% on the drop rune and only got 39 shears and then it got even worse, no drops or only 1 or 2 and I thought I don't think I'm even gonna be able to finish this. But the drops kept slowly coming in and I'm down to needing only 40 to finish with 4 days to go so it's working out.

And honestly from a business perspective I think it's a great balance that they came up with because it insures the company is going to sell some baskets but still keep the free players encouraged and happy. And if you haven't invested in the drop rune (fsq quests) and your level isn't up there, then you probably shouldn't be getting enough drops to finish. If the game wasn't challenging, well...

I have to admit though that I find the event to be on the kinda blah side, rewards are nice but they always are. The gameplay part of it just doesn't stand up and say "play me!". I think the events that let you do something after 1 or 2 harvests are more fun. No big deal cuz overall I love doing the events, just something about those challenges and that oh so addictive feeling of accomplishment lol!

Enjoying the event, :)pleased that BP has given us an easy (some say boring) event so that we can enjoy Easter in real life.
Drops are slow but we need so few so it's not a problem.:) I only need 41 with 4 days to go.

This is JMHO (and I'm sure many will not agree or want to hear it), but by omitting the Magic Trees from handing out event drops this time around looks to me that it might be because BP Devs have FINALLY read/acknowledged all the negative feedback from previous events requiring drops, so they purposely designed this event to be more fair to the lower and mid level farmers who've struggle thru so many events without all the game's bells and whistles the higher end farmers have. And at the same time they've also tried to design the event to somewhat slow down all the turbo-charged farmers that finish most events in the first 2-3 days simply because they have handfuls or even armloads of all the event enhancing goodies that the rest of us farmers do not have/cannot get. Betcha there are way fewer complaints from farmers not getting drops from their Magic Trees than there are from the farmers who CAN'T EVEN GET A SINGLE MAGIC TREE! Geeze you guys that are griping, lighten up... so sorry that you have to actually (sort of) struggle thru an event like the majority of the rest of us farmers busting our butts have to, just to finish the event before it ends-.-

Thank you BP, for playing a little more fair this time around ;)

Already have enough Event Crops to complete but missing some drops -- should be able to get them (halfway there).

For some reason my lower level farm (Lvl 89-Baha Lvl 211--needs 30 drops) always gets more drops then my higher level farm
    (Lvl 90-Baha Lvl 223--needs 74 drops)
. The higher level farm has a few more animal pens and Baha trees but I clear the same fields for the event. Maybe it is because the crops give more drops; especially considering they are harvested more than once a day.

    Good Luck to everyone.

    UPDATE:
All farms have finished early and have excess Pruning Shears. I can understand the complaints regarding the drop rate though because I had harvested all fields and received only a couple drops -- was afraid wouldn't be able to finish at all because of drop rate.

i dont think we should be punished for being high level players we earned all the bells n whistles we got. we were once low level players and had to deal with it ,untill we worked our way up ! so why not every other low level player !!! or do ya'll expect to start at level 1 and have all the same perks as someone on level 90 or above ?

Today we have SOS if we need help with drops ... Thanks to ILLY

And thank you to my great neighbours and friends for sending me drops

When I started we had nothing like that ...if we didnt have the things needed ..we didn't complete the whole event ..wasn't as easy then as it is now...we couldn't go to the market and buy CAC and other things to help in events...like you can now

We didn't have anything to help us ....only thing we could get from our neighbours... was one tool box each day to help build housing for the animals

Farmerama used to have a weather system ...If it rained and you hadn't put manure on your crops ...you lost them all

We wasn't given these whistles and bells we had to EARN them...the same with the artisans...think we had to save stars for those ...(correct me if I am wrong on that)
We didn't have that many events to WIN stars..an event was the high light of the game... we could get more things xD

And I don't think we should be punished either .. have played for 6 years for all that I have
ALL we get from a magic tree is one drop a day

***We have Howies in Renzo's now ..maybe in time we might get Magic trees as well *** who knows... hope so ...then I can buy more of them.. at the moment I have 3

You can have an arm full of these whistles and bells ... as I have said ...they can be bought at the market;)

Without them ...I have still finished the eventxD... so they don't make that much difference unless you have a lot of them...AND I only used CAC ...NOTHING else ....it is do able in three days with just that

Only did this event for one thing ...the cloud row... I also found it a little boring...but boring was ok ...had family coming for easter dinner which was more important

I think you would gripe also GuineaUp if something you had earnt ...had not been allowed to give drops in the game

Good Luck to the New people of the game and to everyone
    :D

    @GuineaUp

We long term players had to severely struggle to GET those magic trees too. It's not like they came falling from the sky for free or anything, and it's not nice to "blame" us for having one. I rather think we should blame BP for not giving newbies a chance to get one too. But that blame does not lie with those who struggled and succeeded to get a magic tree, and those who did, love their tree! And that is allowed.

And yes, I will gripe about it if BP suddenly takes away another EARNED benefit, just like that. Now it does nothing special. Thanks bp.
