Easter Festival Strategy Thread

I'm using 1x2s I have 30 drops in the barn plus ive opened 2 or 3 fields good luck to all

 

I now have all fields open and am using 1x1's with 2 refinements(5% early bloomer and 10% fertilizer love). I have purchased all 30 crates, which got me 3 Egg-chantments! Today I will get 3 harvests....maybe 4 if I can stay up late?

I now have all plots open but need to grow enough miracle egg plants to try to refine again. I really want some refinements! I'm still using 2x2 plots but will switch to 1x1s in the morning in hopes of better drop rate. I have one more harvest tonight then done for the day. Timer will not be set for the middle of the night at this point. Happy miracle egg plant growing everyone.

 

I've wasted 90 crops on both farms trying for refinements, with no such luck. I think I give up.

All fields are open, 9/40 steps done on this farm, 14/40 on the other. The 30 Easter crates were kind to both farms with both kinds of nests and lots of extra crops to work with, but only this farm ended up with a giver. I keep alternating back and forth between 1x1s and 2x2s... drops are meh, at best .
Bring on the MM, I'm getting bored with this very slow paced Easter Event

Sorry puppiesnponies without the CAC we can't get more crops from the 2x2 plot.

36 2x2: plant 36 seeds, harvest 180, gain: 180-36=144
72 1x2: plant 72 seeds, harvest 216, gain: 144
144 1x1: plant 144 seeds, harvest 288, gain: 144

so it doesn't matter what size plot you use they all come out the same? I now have all but 2 sections open still have 30+ drops in barn maybe ill finally start getting more crops I cant seem to get crops fast enough

 

Your correct on the amounts received being the same. I'm using 2x2 fields until all the fields are open. The reason is simple, I save CCs on water and the amount of fertilizer needed for each planting. 36 vs 144.

Once the entire field has been opened I'll switch to 1x1 fields for the increase in drops.

That's the plan.

 

You are right....I should have clarified what I meant....

When I harvest my 1x1's overnight, it is 288 seeds. Now I have the choice of how to use those seeds. I change my plots back into 2x2, and instead of resewing a field of 144 plots, I am now sewing a field of 36 plots and gives me a nice boost of seeds (252 vs 144) to mill Easter nests with (puppy paws crossed) overnight drops.

In theory, this works better than planned because overnight drops were just 16 basic nests so I was not able to make more than one milled nest from my overnight harvest.

 

I have absolutely no idea how I am doing!

I have made and donated 5 Easter Nests, I have 14 Basic Nests left so I have had 64 drops so far though 25 of those were gifts. I have two portions left to open - needing 20 more Easter Nests.
As I have not opened all the land yet, I am sure the drop rate should improve ... but I have no idea how to gauge my progress!
Oh well, I shall just keep plugging away at it.

Light Bulb moment: When I reach the 20 Easter Nest stage, I will be halfway so I can work it out by that. Phew!

I should know better.... you don't make this kind of mistake but we all have our bad days.

Hope BP will boost up the drops?! I got 20 from the last harvest.

 

Carberot23: If you are getting 20 per harvest, that's not bad. Depending how many harvests you can do a day, that would be 60 or 80 per day. Regardless of what you have had so far, with 4.5 days left that would be between 300 and 400 total - as always, in theory. Have you got all fields open yet?

But I do agree, the drop rate is ridiculous as we were unable to prepare the field, it is a short term crop and drops can only come from one field!

 

Drop is really the though part here, and from what others are writing - I sleep too much I'm a bit behind, but not too far behind! I think perhaps the Living Legend Rune doesn't work on these fields as everybody have more or less the same drop rate. 0,5 per field or smt like that. I do enjoy the challenge, really like it.

 

Me too Moraine! I will battle on till the end but if I don't finish, no biggie! Will just enjoy the prizes I get en route!

 

Oh yes, I won't give up - but I may not make it. That is okay, can't make them all, but failure won't be cos I gave up And having fun trying - this is after all all about the fun

(@Mir - was sunflowers, but I think it probably was cos I didn't work from improved time but base time - enterly my mistake. Thanks Pups and & Mir for the help and corrections . I'd be so lost without this forum And a lot of the fun would go out of the bag as well. )

 

After 2 harvests using 2x2's and not good drops I switched to 1x1's. At this point I have all the lands open and
getting 16-20 drops per harvest. I did buy 4 Easter crates and was lucky enough to get 2 givers that give 3 drops every 8 hours. For me the key is to make sure I get back to my computer to harvest and re-plant as soon as the crop is ready to harvest. I am NOT doing any refinement things and have 17/40 done! I think I am doing ok! It is a slow progression game so just enjoy and have fun!

 

1x1's gives 24 drops not once but thrice I received same nos...So far donated 10 ENs and nearing towards donation of 15 more ENs...current status 680 crops and 117 drops...switched to 2x2's so that I can have 1148 crops by 9 am tomorrow...Everyone have fun and enjoy...Good luck

 

Please, I have a question for you all. I'm debating switching from 2x2s to 1x1s. Is everyone getting higher drops from the 1x1s, like kibsnfebs? I'm getting 20 drops with the 2x2s, but the extra 4 nest/harvest could make the difference between finishing and not. Thank you.

 

Drop rate is abysmal. I just harvested 96 1x1s and only got 6 BNs.

 

Mindy, I did get 24 nests from 1x1s just this morning (on my other farm). 20-22 has been the norm for both farms tho. It's a crapshoot for me it seems, lol, unless BP gave the drop rate a little tiny tweak. Ha.

I didn't buy any crates. I started out with the 2x2 and got 1 empty nest on first harvest. I switched to 1x1 and got more but it still was after 3rd harvest that I had enough to make the first nest. I have since been able to make a total of 5 nests so have 2 sections left to get.

The drops have been so slow that I have been able to do the greenhouse twice with a third time cooking since I have way more eggs than nests. The first 2 times, I got no enhancements so am still using just water and manure and getting the harvest in 4 hours and 4 minutes. At this point being over 2 days into the event and only 1/8th of the way to the cloud row and having Easter weekend in the middle, not sure how far I'll get.

I really am not a fan of the greenhouse. I have worked on getting carnations and roses done and have found that almost every time I try to do a crop, I rarely actually find an enhancement.
