Always go for more inventory space, it's like opening a new land section in the Magical Glade or Crystal Falls! Once you open the first rune of a new tree, your customers can ask for them, so be sure to have enough of the new wood and manure to craft it. As long as you don't level too much, the customers will not ask for unopened trees/seeds even if you are able to open them at your new level.

I try to have enough badges in stock to unlock most of the runes in one go, or have enough of the newest tree fruits to craft level 2 badges too to open the next runes like the tart cherry tree has. EV is quite redundant in lower levels, growing alpine roses take ages to let you craft one floral badge. It's either badge or recyling & customer orders for AEP. Inventory space is tight and that's the really hard thing to master well in the first levels of EV.

Like someone else above mentioned the only thing I do each morning, is check if I can fill customer orders that award trees. This will help alot in the long run.

Thanks, Northy. I'll wait a bit longer to open the cherry tree and hope no customer decides they want cherries instead of apricots and flowering branches. :D

Atm, I have three areas which give the 'increase storage capacity' option: tree trunks, alpine trees and alpine tree fruits. All other Warehouse categories are grey. Am I correct to think my level, together with badges, allows me to increase storage capacity?

Which of my current three options to increase storage capacity would be best at this time? Should I increase land space with one badge? I've not done that yet. I have two badges after two days of focusing on just harvesting each level of my five apricot trees.

I have not yet had any customer order that gives an actual tree as a reward. So far only AEP and buffs. Do all customers reward a tree at some point/level?

Only Feodor rewards tree or plant seed or something else. I would increase storage, which is always full or almost full. You can increase capacity where is green increase capacity. Increasing of land space is not bad option either, but it is easy to overfill storage. After each level up you need to find right balance to have space for everything without deleting something to make room for something more vital.

If you pay attention to the popup window that appears when you level up in EV, you will see what was unlocked for that level: ex new tree/seed and also what category in your warehouse you can upgrade. Not all level let you upgrade inventory.

As for which upgrade to chose, this depends on you. The 3 warehouse options you are listing are good ones, but more space means more trees, so more tree fruits thus more items to craft badges. The apricot tree is the only one tree that doesn't require wooden planks, just garden tools, fertilizer and green water (do not confuse this with super-grow, it is really called green water).

Thank you (and everyone) for suggestions. It's taking me a while to process as some of the terminology is new/different and, as you mention, it's different from the farming I've become used to over the past four years.

I will increase the land in NW and also fruit storage area. So far, I only make enough trees to fill available plots. Will continue to focus on making more badges rather than filling customer orders (except for the flowering branches!).

After writing above, I went to increase land and fruit storage - each supposedly needed one badge and I had two. I tried to unlock land first by clicking on the owl and nothing happened, except it said I had the necessary one badge to open more land. I clicked again, and saw a blank yellow square with a red X at the bottom. Clicked outside the square and again on the owl and a third rectangle opened showing my badges saying I'd filled all requirements to open land, asked if I wanted to do that, so I selected Yes/green check mark, and four more plots were waiting for trees...and both my badges were used! How did that happen?

I would also agree with storage increase. I'm level 46 and still struggling with tree storage.
In the early levels, it's best to grow alpine apricots b/c they do not require wood yet produce it.
Good luck.....EV does require loads of patience and strategy.:music:

Thank you! I'm sure it will all come together with time, but atm, I feel rather befuddled as RL with its obligations is a 'distraction' xD

I am having to constantly review what I do when I come to the farm to 'relax'! Feel as if I keep repeating the same questions, just with different words :music:

I just got to Level 28 after what seems an eternity thinking that I would be able to complete two quests so I could continue with filling those orders, open up a bit more of Sunflower Hill and a bit more land on Northern Woods - well, one out of three ain't bad! :wuerg:
I now have four more tree plots! xD
For the others I need to make two Horticultural Badges Level 3 and (for Sunflower Hill) I need to reach Level 30!
Oh well, still one step closer, I suppose ... :music:
EV is not for the faint-hearted! :inlove:

Sadly, I leveled up to 8 yesterday and again am wandering in the 'woods' unable to figure out how to get to the flower fields...shelving that for now as RL is calling.
Illy, you did warn me about that situation and sure enough, my customers are asking for things I can't provide! And to top it off, it's raining in EV and I lost my umbrella! :p

I think if you pass your mouse over the place where the flowers will be grown (bottom right of entry point), it will tell you what level you need. ;)

I loved the mini event - it gave me enough badges to pass one quest and now I can move on to something different! :inlove:

Could someone please tell me why I am unable to use my stock of Edelweiss crops to craft a Horticulturist badge. Atm, I am only able to use Alpine roses.

I'm lvl 11 in EV and can craft both types of crop seeds, plant, and harvest them. Can use the Edelweiss crop for recycling, but not to make badges. Thanks so much in advance.

Each badge uses different crops/fruit - Level 1 is Alpine Roses and Mountain Cowslip, Level 2 is Boletus and Lady's Slipper and Level 3 is Lady's Slipper and Mountain Cowslip. Probably as you have more plants available to you, they may also be used but that's all I have at the moment. :p
Hope this makes sense - and, more importantly, is the correct answer! :music:

Ahhh, yes, that makes sense and I understand now. Thank you, Illy :)

Think it will be awhile before I am able to reach Mountain Cowslip, so will focus on Alpine Roses for badges and customer orders. When it comes time to recycle, then I'll use the Edelweiss flowers. They are so pretty, but since recycling takes a while, I need to pay attention and not overstock. Delicate balance between the different aspects and I really don't want to have to delete items! EV is indeed a different way of farming :D
