What are these weird items in some of the recipes?

They are drop items. These mainly drop by chance from the related Category of Playfield items (for trees these will be specific tree-related items dropping from trees on harvests).

As you don't have yet any requirements to start crafting you need first to convert items from classic game to get some components for crafting. That you do in Lumbermill.

Choose Items to convert

Now you are one step closer to craft your first Alpine Apricot.

Repeat convert with other components.

Forester will include

During a runnint Tree Assistant subscription (bought via payment), you can collect one special gift per day.
That is a random set of tree-related fertilizers. The gift can be collected in the helper via button.
There will be a highlight on the assistants on the playfield, showing you the availability of this special gift until you collect it.
The collectible gift is refreshed every 24 h (at 00:00:00 CET) and gifts don't stack in care they were not collected in time.

Saywer provides following functionalities

Trees provide fruits on harvest, but can also be permanently chopped down in order to gain their trunk tha can be converted into new crafting resources in the Lumbermill.

Trees can be placed on any free plot on the Northern Woods Playfield.
Trees cannot be rearranged.
Trees cannot be removed from playfield but are rather chopped down.

Each tree type can have a different set of 8 growth stages max, however most trees will only feature maximum of 4-6 growth stages.

Each growth stage has
* a defined growth time
* a defined yield item with a defined number on/per harvest
* a defined number of Trunks in a defined quality (on chopping down)

After the final growth stage is met, no further harvest is possible and hence there is no further growth timer being started.

Harvesting

Harvesting is possible whenever the growth timer reached 0
Harvesting books the fruits of the related growth stage
Harvesting starts the growth timer for next stage (if there is any left)​

It is all a lot of waiting. Can I do anything to speed things up?

Yes, there are boosters for production as well as for trees to grow faster.

Speed Booster

Shortens the remaining production timer by 20% and it can be applied unlimited times (as long as the timer is running)

Where I can get some Speed Boosters?

* By having Forester subscription active either single purchase or automatically renewal version, Speed Booster is one of the random daily gift options
* Customers
* By converting in lumbermill

Ok, that is for production slots, how about the trees?

There are 3 different fertilizers for trees.

Sprout-A-Tree

shortens the remaining growth timer by 20%, can be applied multiple times (up to 5, but most of the items allow only 3 uses)

50 Sprout-A-Tree for 10 BB

Insta Tree

Increases the current growth stage by 1. Jumps to the exact same growth time on the next growth stage.
Instantly grants the fruits that could have been harvested if the prior timer finished.

Tree Fruit O'Plenty

Adds an amount of fruit to the next harvest which equals the current tree growth stage.
Can be applied during growth timer and "harvest-ready" state. Can be applied only once per growth stage.

How do I get the fertilizers?

Mainly by purchases but can be gotten also as rewards.

​

 

I've harvested all stages of the tree, no new timer started. What do I do now?

When all stages are harvested or if you need some Tree Trunks at earlier point you can Chop Down the Tree.

Chopping down
* possible at any given point in time
* felling books the Tree Trunks according the related growth stage
* chopping down also removes the tree from the playfield and deletes it completely!
* If chopping down a "harvest-ready" tree, the fruits are also booked according to the growth stage

!! CHOPPING DOWN A TREE DURING TIMER DO NOT BOOK FRUITS!!

As a result of chopping down you get Kindlings and Tree Trunks

Tree Trunks can be converted into other resources (for example into Lumber) in the Lumbermill.​

First button on the top takes you to customers.
Second opens News.
Third button on the bottom takes you to ingame shop.


There you can buy accessories and assistants.

 

Assistant slot

There are assistant slots in both Carpentry and Lumbermill.

By hiring Sawyer you will unlock those slots.

Productions can be filled for as long as the related assistant is active.

Production will not be cancelled when the subscription for the current slot ends.

A subscription adds an assistant slot to all available Crafting Categories at once.

Unlock Slot

To unlock another extra slot in the queue, you need 10 Master Keys.
For that you get 72 hours on unlock slot.

Master Keys

can be obtained via purchase,
as a drop item or
as a customer reward

Like with assistant slot, the production will not be cancelled when the temporary unlocking for the current slot ends.

Each Crafting Categories possesses a separate Slot and each of these Queue Slots is unlocked separately.​

 

How to get the advanced recipes open? What is Skillpoint?

The Base node of each skilltree always unlocks the related Base recipe.

The node-system pretty much resembles the Tree of Wisdom, having interconnections that branch from the base node.

To be unlocked each node requires that previous point has been unlocked and defined type and amount of Arborist Badges to be paid in.

Nodes can have these effects when being unlocked
* playfield traits such as

• reduced growth timer
• additional uses of the Sprout-A-Tree
• increased yield amount
• reduced crafting timer

* Yield traits such as

• increased yield equivalency value
