Feedback Eldritch Game Night

Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the "Eldritch Game Night" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

I normally do like this particular game/event. Not sure how it will go until we see what the drop rate is but simple enough concept. Once again, though, why can we only get drops from crops and trees?

This event is partnered with Netherworld Saga which requires five Eldritch Tokens. I have searched till my eyes pop out but I can only find two Eldritch Tokens on the games boards. There are three for sale for 13 Trivia Points each so our first 39 Trivia Points will have to be spent to continue with the Netherworld event that we have been working on for two weeks. Many of us are relying on these Eldritch Tokens to get more Witch's Brews, hoping that we will get enough of the elusive Dark Crystals to complete complete the Netherworld event.

This is one reason some farmers don't like these joined up events, too many random/unpredictable aspects that might impact on what we have already done.

I am not saying that this event won't be good, I can't say till we start. But I don't really think it is fair that we should have to pay for the Eldritch Tokens with Trivia Points. Once again there are so many prizes on offer and most of us will only be able to gaze at them through the shop window.

 

I too spent a long time trying to find the Eldritch Tokens. They should be part of the mini game and we should not have to use our Trivia Points to buy them. This game need to progress quite quickly to stand a chance to get the Dark Crystals of which I am very short.
Once again I will state that when there are linked events, which are actually only one event with 3 sub-parts, we should have all the FAQ's at the beginning.

 

I agree with you both, especially that we should have had all three FAQs at the beginning. Drops have been disgraceful/

I'm very disappointed at the way the Events have changed. They used to be doable and FUN all on their own, NOT so interdependent with so many other things. This makes them stressful as you can see just from the comments above.

Stressful events/games are NOT usually much fun...and is not why most of us play this farming game.

I, for one, come here to rest and relax - to actually have FUN - and to enjoy others here who enjoy the same.
SO - No thank you...this is not my idea of FUN. I will NOT be adding this stressful event to my 'to-do' list. A-g-a-i-n.

 

The board game is one of my favorite mechanics. Add to that, the spooky factor, and there's no way I am not giving this event all that I've got. That said, I did VERY little of the last two, for all the reasons mentioned above - most notably Repetative Event Injury. But with regards to THIS event - even though it is tied to the others, which I find annoying... the game team outdid themselves with the graphics. It is the first time EVER that I actively want to collect the stickers, because they are adorbs. I have only played Cat Fairy and Slime Monster so far, but I could hardly bring myself to look at the possible prizes, I was so enraptured by the little characters. Well done, team. This event seems, as always, really fun. The sheer volume of crops required per game, however, is a real turnoff. It's nice when we can get five steps out of a harvest with CAC - although it's been YEARS since that was the case.

Please, BP, bring back the FUN component to this game. I promise you, players will open their checkbooks way more if you make them happy, than if you try to force it!
