event problem I have noticed

I already mentioned in another thread I had a problem with the latest event but to add insult to the matter I received a message at the end of the event informing me I had the right amount of event crops to complete the task however when I wanted to deposit them I was 10 short.

Now I am pretty sure this is something that has been implemented recently to stop players going below 10 crops which must have happened to plenty of dopey players who could then no longer grow any crops to finish an event.

So I have concluded that the 10 crops we start with are counted in the inventory however can never be exchanged in the event to stop a player going below 10. Any more he grows can be exchanged. I know this now and I also concluded that one always needs x + 10 crops to finish a task from now on but I find this terribly frustrating and confusing. I can see why it was implemented but I don't like it. I'm sure I am not the only player caught out by this.

 

Yes, they do try and keep you from breaking yourself BUT you can use all of your crops but you have to click the last 10 in by hand.

 

Originally the system handed in all available seeds.
However, many players were accidentally left without seeds during events and had to wait for 5 seeds to re-appear in the barn.
This safety mechanism was introduced to avoid these accidents.

However, as FrootloopGrove mentions you may either hand in the 'allowed' seeds and then actively type in the remaining 10.
Also, you may actively type in the entire number of your seeds in one go.

So, yes there is a safety mechanism that protects players from starting from scratch, but the system also allows you to actively override it.

As FrootloopGrove and xristos-ale3andros stated, the system is working correctly to protect users from donating all their seeds and you need to manually add the last 10 seeds if you wish to donate them all.
