Exchange values are set in the game for most items. I understand them and many but bot nearly all, uses of exchange value.

However, with craft goods, there are exchange values set for several basic goods which cannot be sold. I would not expect there to be a suggested market value in this case.

Also the terms Suggest Market Value and Market Value are used in the Artisan faqs. There are suggested market values set for each saleable craft good and NO exchange value.

Are the terms indeed different? And if so how? Are you able to assist me with how to use the term Suggested Market Value in understanding this game.

    Look forward to your reply.

And Happy Holidays to you and your family

  2. Hello farmer_broke

The suggested market value is influenced by the exchage value. If the current market prices are higher than the exchange value, the suggested market price becomes dynamic and it will go up / down depending on the sales going on and their prices.
Some items might not need an exchange value now, but this info is not used only for the market, it could be used for mass donations or who knows, maybe other future features.

    Can we assist you further?

Yes you can and thank you.

There is a suggested market value stated in the Artisan faqs but no exchange value stated for most.

Are you telling me that the suggested market prices as listed in the faq will become dynamic and thus the numbers in the faqs will change also?

Definitely clear exchange is not used solely for market.

Is it better the leave further questions regarding suggested market price as stated in the Artisan Faqs as "who knows?"

I think we know what group definitely knows. Was the information not shared with you and up to us as a group to interpret?

    Hello farmer_broke,

The exchange values listed in the FAQs will stay the way they are unless the game team decides to balance them. The suggested market price becomes dynamic in a way it has been explained to you and as you are very well aware of. Yes, definitely, the exchange value is not used solely for the market. And yes, some of the artisan crafts do not have an exchange value - why? We don't know. And no, we do not have any further information about other possible uses of these values - but it could happen in the future - maybe never, maybe in a year, maybe in ten. Game mechanisms change often.
Do you have any specific question I can assist you with?

    Hello teddy.bear,

Thank you and Intrepideur very much. Great answers!

I am clear both terms are separate, for who knows the reason(s) used, and that both may or may not be ever changed.

Thanks again for somewhat clarifying terms which often go unnoticed but may affect us all.

No further questions at this time.
