F5 refresh, really??

Okay, yesterday I went onto general game info and enumerated all the issues I am having with the game (since last week on some, and since the stand alone on others).

One of my issues is I am not able to complete a full game, (reap/sow/and set feed working in the mill). Today I am not able to get the mill to work, after reaping and sowing.

I asked if there is a way to refresh the game without X-ing out (because the game does not recognize that I am asking to close within it's functions at this point). I was told F5 works. It does not. I tried this morning (when the mill would not take my feed orders) and it does not work to use F5. I am in the process of closing the stand alone, going into a browser on the computer, closing that, and then entering the farm again. What a pain in the a...., everyday.
You guys make enough money from all the things you ask real money for that you should be able to code the script so all these things work (6 mos after setting up the stand alone).

Maybe my expectations are too high? It is frustrating that I can't farm without jumping through multiple machinations.

Please, is my only choice opening and closing this farm to complete my morning farm routine. And if so, why??

What happens when you use F5? We have no reports of it not working in either browser or Standalone. Since you are using a browser in between logging in via Standalone, are you able to play via browser? I understand your frustration so we will ask you to do the following to see if it improves your game play:

If playing via browser, please make sure it is the latest version. Please clear you cache and cookies.

If your preferred platform is the Standalone, please try uninstalling and then reinstalling it.

You can also try to lower the graphics quality or turn off animations to see if that helps with frozen game/lag.

When I use F5, nothing changes. I don't know if going to a different browser and doing something other than Farmerama is making the farm work again, or just the act of getting out and reentering the farm. There is no way to get into Farmerama other than the stand alone (as far as I know). When I try to enter through a browser it tells me to download the stand alone and use that to enter the game.

New issue. I can't lay my pizza ingredients onto my pizza. I can grab the ingredients (or pizza) and I can hover and see how many points I can make, but it will not let me click it into place. I went out and came back in (without going to a browser or restarting my computer) and this did not change. Before the "can't click into place" started happening, I was able to click but the pieces went to different squares than the places I was indicating.

I will go lower graphics quality and see if I have any animations turned on. Usually the animations just irritate me.

 

Some keyboards require you to hold the "fn" tab down then pressing F5 to refresh.

To play on your browser, when the window comes up to download the Standalone Client, you just press the cross to exit the layer and your browser will then continue to load the Game.

You need to ensure that all of the cards you pick up are able to be placed on the Gamefield. If you are not placing them correctly, it may be why the card pieces go to a different spot than the space you are choosing.

Okay, I will try the Fn/F5 when the farm freezes. It happened again this morning at 8:53-54am PT when I went to Bahamarama. It starts with the % building, gets to 100%, I get to see the map, but if I go into the island it starts building the % all over again. I jumped out, and came back in, and here I am again (to read your next suggestion!).

I had the cards hovered and was getting blue around the cards. I presumed that meant I was in the right place. Perhaps I was wrong? I closed the game and did other things for an hour, closing the computer as well. The cards worked most of the time with only a couple jumping to where they chose to be placed (rather than at my choosing).

Good info on playing in a browser. I wasn't aware I had that choice, so good to know!

 

If F5 does not wotk it may be related to your keyboard so you will need to keep logging out in order to refresh. Or try using a browser so that you can use the browser refresh button.

If all game pieces have blue around them they can be placed within on the Game playfield. You can try checking your mouse settings to see if that helps with your mouse function.
