I have a Big Fish game account and cannot change it, sorry. But I am definately English and in the US. Not many english players in there. The game is slow while donating so it is taking me a long time to get stuff in. Right now Im at 105. I dont think I will make my goal in the top ten, so lets just hope its at least 21 or above, I will be happy with that, as I finished 22nd last year, I would be upset if I finished less than last year, but the competition is something we cannot predict. But with all the time I put into it, I could not NOT enter LOL

What you have donated is gone now. Your farm is prepared to compete. Please remember and carefully consider the one question which I have asked several times and have never ever received an answer:

• Out of all items which my farm is prepared to donate (however they were acquired): What is it that I really do not want to donate?

What is it that I really do not want to donate? What is it that I really do not want to donate? What is it that I really do not want to donate? <-------

(You may find out the answer very very quickly after the event or it may not matter.)

example: Last year parrot feathers seemed to be a great item to donate. You know why. (Last year my baby farm collected boots and happily finished at the bottom. BUT I DETERMINED THAT PARROT FEATHER PRICES WOULD EXPLODE. and they did. Maybe just a good guess because today that farm still holds over 160,000 of them and I don't event check the farm. CC value is over 5 billion. Up to everyone else what to do.)

another example: The first year this farm went I did not have sense enough to even think of the question. (The preparation method disclosed to all still cannot be beat to this moment.) I was so happy just to represent the En Forum and do well. I would have given my entire farm up just to make it.

I remember my farm having over 1 million dates. Made me no difference. This forum was going to be a force. Today the farm has only 665,000 dates. The farm has never been able to get back to 1 million after several years. (There was no price explosion so after all this time I must regard that as a good donation decision .... even though I did not have good sense enough to question the impact on this farm.)

But the farm also donated over 450,000 Golden Leaves. Sure, I acquired them efficiently and did not care if the farm would be destroyed. Today Golden Leaf on this market are at 3,728. (Dates are 1,421.) Do you think the donation of Golden Leaves was such a bright idea? (no so bright knowing what I know today.) I definitely had alternatives. (Today the farm has over 584,000 and due to illy-the Ladybug.)

I did not even have sense enough to try and seek an answer or even think about it. I wanted Teddy.Bear proud to be our Mod and everyone else in this forum.

Sebe I say all this to you because I am so very happy for you and for all of us that you represent us. And a few months may pass or even a few years before you know if what you donated now was really efficient or if you will even care.

You will have to rebuild your farm again and you know it. Please give a little thought to that question and you will save yourself an awful lot of effort in the future.

I messed up! Missed the last donation of 500 crops, went ahead and made a few Pumpkin Juices ready to have a go ... even if just for a short time ... only to find I was still locked out! I think I might just make it for a while tomorrow but it will be a close thing! LOL! Is it something telling me to leave the Hoedown well alone!

Broke, I know its all gone . But I had fun and planned for it One thing I have learned from you and many others there is no wrong way to play. I need goals to work towards, or I think I would get bored. LOL. Another thing I have learned is everyone plays differently. I know I play so differently than others I am friends with. Some just putter along do what they can when they can. Some hoard. Some dont care, just want to play etc. I still have a set limit, that I will keep, wont have my stocks, but that is what I find fun, looking for those deals in the market LOL. It can all be replaced, or I will find some other items that will takes its place. Yes last year I donated so many parrot feathers it was main item. Then there was an event that called for them and they went sky high, and never came back down, Last year this time I could get Parrot feathers for like 1000 each. Probably after the event, my barn stock will be "normal" compared with other players that dont have the time I do to play. But I gave it all away last year, and kept my minimum, and only had right at 1 Billion CCs afterwards, I will do the same this year, but will most likely have around 20 Billion CCs too. There are two things I wish I would of done, 1 is listened and paid attention to the dragonflies, I didnt really start putting them out till the last month or so, If I would of loaded my fields when they first came out, I would of been able to do so much better, 2 got in a better habit of buying the daily seeds, seems like I always forgot. But it is what it is. Once this is over, I need you to give up on some of those Billions you have hoarded over there LOL so I can get on the top ten CC holder list. I know we are not in the same market LOL. So starting next week, A whole new chapter for me begins and I will switch up how I play yet again. Even if I dont place in 21st or better, I will not regret it. I mean the stuff just sitting in my barn isnt fun to me LOL Who knows maybe if I reach the top ten CCs, then I will set a new goal, maybe something like 100K of every item in my barn, who knows. I can remember trying to reach 1000 of everything, once i reached that I moved on to another new goal. The only good thing about the hoedown being done and over is, my next goal will not have a time limit LOL It will be reached when it is reached, and when I do I will hollar to ya on here, "hey broke, look at me" I think I have learned more from you with your craziness and fun way you post than anyone. and to you I want to give you a shout out. THANKS!! You made me stop and look at things differently and now I find myself analyzing everything move I make LOL. I would love to have the stocks you have one day. I think the most I have had on any item was like 250K and I think that was carnations, I know have 5000, but to me that is a healthy number to continue on with. What is your take on buying daily seeds then selling them for profit, I am working on the numbers and looks like most of them can be doubled, but i have not tested them, as this year I just bought what had a good CC to EV ratio. Now I wont worry so much about EV. I will still keep out my best EV items for upgrades etc, but my main sections of my farms will be for high grow time to CC ratio, where I have been working on time to EV ratios.

I haven't played for more than 7 months now, having logged on 2 days ago by chance, I found out about the event. Not sure I will enter the competition, because I might not finish the event plants but also not too much left in the barn...

This farm began slowly growing junks a few days ago. If harvested on time while using water and poop, the farm will need right at 7 hours before it could even begin to donate. (Not bothering to compete anyway.) This means the farm would have 9 hours remaining to donate.

I term that "spinning daisy" the flower of death. Sometimes the game will even log a farm out.

Also, this farm went from exactly -0- ccs to number 6 in the TOP 10 CC holders in just over 8 months.
The farm would have hundreds of listings at times. Constant buying, selling, listing, and deleting offers when game traffic was high nearly each day. Clearing the cache and reloading the game was a daily action and usually done 7-8 times a day. The frustration never seemed to end. No exaggeration here. I tried any and everything I could think of. There were periods the farm would generate a 2-3 hundred million cc increase in a few hours. Add trying to keep up with event and game changes and read what everyone writes and Real life demands and I was a basket case <---- No need to comment. (And this is why I do not want TOP 10 anything anymore in this game.)

X, just be thankful that you only have to deal with delays for only a few days. (As much as I would love to see
Sebe in the TOP 10, I would be a really terrible person to wish this type of experience on her.)

I am absolutely certain you planned and I commend you you for your actions.

I'm reading every word you wrote of your post and thanks for your time writing. There is lots of good information in the post. You say it very well and I can somehow feel how you may feel. Thanks again.

hahahaha Sebe... I am just playing with people when I have written that junk about no wrong way to play.

That "... no wrong way to play" stuff is a bunch of BS (Baldy Sheep). lol There are lots of wrong ways. There are even wrong ways to work these junking events too. That statement is only some excuse for inefficient and even very poor game-playing.

I warn you, if you keep that "... no wrong way to play" mentality, I feel 99.999999999% certain that you have absolutely -0- chance of ever making it into the TOP 10 CC or EP holders in this game. ...... ever! The players in the TOP 10 in this game laugh at the Hoedown and do it for kicks. Sebe, the participants in the TOP 10 in this game are in a much different league. (And over time, we know who is who.)

Sebe, I am for you and really want to see you make the TOP 10 in the game if you want it. Now let me be real hard on you for a moment: Yeah, I'm watching your Hoedown display so far, but only because I know you from the forum. And you are not the only one I'm watching. I only want to see if there is any potential at all. Most will putter-out anyway and there is no need to even watch.

I want to determine (if possible) who among the Hoedown will be regarded as ignorant and who will be regarded as stupid. (As far as TOP 10 in the game is concerned.) I am not going to call anyone ignorant or anyone stupid and I have not done this. This is real hard and cold: If someone is regarded as ignorant the the conclusion has been made that the individual simply does not know and can do no better. But if someone is judged to absolutely know something and yet chooses to take another direction then .... then they have earned a place in the stupid classification. They become of little concern until they exhibit otherwise by chance. Real simple. Easy to see during the Hoedown and shortly thereafter.

Another way to end this no right way nonsense with regard to the TOP 10 in the game:

Say you want to walk to a neighbors home.
Say you know the neighbor lives to the left of your home.
If you leave your house and walk to the left then you just might have a little sense.
You are not ignorant because you know the neighbor lives on the left and you have walked to the left.

But if you know the house will be to the left and you walk to the right then
......... suuuuuure you will eventually get there....... if you walk around the world (haha)
One is not ignorant because they knew to walk to the left
But they walk to the right and go all the way around the world to get there.... s-t-u-p-i-d!

The game is the same and there is a right way. There are alternative ways of doing the same thing. I'm sure you have noticed and even assisted some in considering much more correct ways of accomplishing goals in this game and events

You listened and you learned ........ you were no longer ignorant
(I had to do the same)
You loaded your fields ........... you know you are not stupid regardless of when you actually did it ... you knew to do it and you did it
(I did the same and am still fighting that battle)

Nothing says that we cannot change given new information.
If information exists and we do not get it then we are ignorant
(so I read all of anything I can in the forum so that I will not be ignorant.)
But if we get the information and do not use it then ....... weeeeeellll ..... we just might be a little ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh stupid Get it?

If you join the Big League then it is impossible for you to grow and produce everything. FACT

You must invest to make more CCs even if cc generation is not your top goal. One question to give you my take: Why wouldn't a farm invest in the daily seeds? hahaha Now you are not ignorant.......but if you do not do it then you are .................well, you know. (You will invest anyway)

That assumes that the only objective of Farmerama is to be a Top 10 CC or EP holder. As for inefficient and poor game playing - that assumes that your primary goal is efficiency. Surely if you are achieving what you set out to achieve, you are succeeding and playing well, even if it is not the fastest or slickest way to do so. It may not be optimal, but that is a very different thing from blatantly wrong. And how do you define poor game play?

 

Absolutely wrong. I am addressing Sebe's open thought and doing it openly. I assume nothing about cc making for everyone or ep or events or anyone's primary goal. You assume! I do not care if one overpays for something or does not pay for anything or undercharges either. But if you or anyone else here (and in this game) dares to play with the Big Men and Women in another league then one will learn to play as we do or do whatever you do your way.

There is no harm intended for you or anyone else. The opportunity is there! For this farm I thought it absolutely impossible to get millions and billions of anything in this game. I had no help, no guidance, all I could do was to try and do the best I could and listen to what everyone in the En Forum had to say.

I made plenty of mistakes. I know it. I was very ignorant in many ways and very stupid in others.

I think you mentioned before that you enjoy producing or growing everything. If indeed that is the case for any individual to this date, they will not be able to play in the the TOP 10 Game league. This is not for everyone.

But if someone in this forum is thinking of trying to make it into the TOP 10 then I am willing to share every single aspect of my own attempt. Be my method right or wrong, this farm respectfully made it into the TOP 10 CC holders of this game and at about level 95 or 96.

I want someone else to do it. I know that it can be done as overwhelming as it my seem ...... even while working towards it.

I really do not care how anyone here plays. But if one makes the choice to work toward the TOP 10 in this game there are some very basic actions that one is going to take and even more that one will not take. Squiggle, one MUST play a certain way in that league whether they like it or not.

I do not care if you or anyone else uses poop on anything when it is .10 . haha And one will not be competitive or even be able to play with this group if they do not take advantage of the opportunity to use it and they can. Clear enough?

Squiggle, some have no need to do this. Sebe indicates that she is doing it. If she decides to play in the Big League then she will unconsciously analyze every move she makes.

All I can say about her analyzing is that ............... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllll there is another trait that indicates that she has good potential of reaching that goal. She is talented and cannot help but to do it now. (and sure she has other goals) And it is best for her to possess and use that skill in order to accomplish the goal ..... if she really wants it.

I have 31 minutes until my last harvest before I could even begin to donate. No way is this farm going to enter the Hoedown competition. The light is hers and everyone elses in the EN Forum who is competing. Sharing what I know and seeing is all the reward I need. hahahaha Just keep those crates of crap in your barns and don't send that stuff around here.

I perceived Sebe's comment as being related to playing Farmerama in general, not this particular event. I certainly agree that there are right and wrong ways to go about the Top 10/Top 1000, whatever. However Sebe's comment did not appear to be talking just about these "being top" events, but the game in general. Apologies if I misunderstood something along the way.

I read every single word that you write in this forum and always have. And I take every single idea from you that I can use. Finished my last harvest for the Hoedown event. I'll have to scan the prizes available in the qualifying part. Right now I just don't think I want any of them.
