I have been waiting patiently but alas none of our maths boffins have posted yet so I have given it my best shot and think I may have worked out the requirements for the event starting tomorrow. Please feel free to correct any errors I have made (not my best subject and, as usual, I am very tired so this will validate all my excuses/blunders with numbers!). :music:

    144 Carrot Mash (864 Carrots)
    72 Fennel Cereal (432 Fennel)
    36 Apple Oatmeal (144 Oats, 72 Apples)
    24 Pear Farina (96 Wheat, 48 Pears)

    450 Sunflowers
    66Plums
    640 Tomatoes
    100 Cherries
    800 Blackberries
    145 Mulberries

    22 Brownies
    36 Mallards
    16 Blackies
    16 Motor Ducks

    72 Baby Ducks (144 Powerfeed)
    46 Lambs (92 Powerfeed)

Edit: Forgot the Ducks and Sheep but some of those should be returned during the breeding process but nevertheless, maximum requirements:

    288 Ducks
    184 Sheep

    Good Luck everybody! ;)

I did think it was strange but the FAQs have been updated so please ignore my comment about Horses and Cows! Make that Sheep and Ducks! :inlove:

    LOL! xD

I believe the FAQ was just changed from Rodeo babies when we had to make the baby food. It was probably an oversight for any reference to horses and cows to be left. Thanks so much illy for putting together the numbers! Now we just need baby boom!

Yeah, that was what I was going to comment puppies, this looks exactly like the old event, though I think the prizes differ (have not gone back to check).

FAQ has corrected it earlier mistake as FAQ has been be Re Edited From Baby Foal and Baby Calf Breeding FAQ......

This New Baby Ducks and Lambs is asking for 72 Baby Ducks and 46 Baby Lambs which cannot be Brought From The Markets....Therefore we need to Put out 72 Breeding Motels to Get 72 Baby Ducks. We Will Also need to Put our 46 Breeding Motels to Get 46 Baby Lambs too...Therefore going to need 236 Power Feeds to Be Able to Complete the Whole Event to Get All Three Givers and Cloud Row.

We can get back at Least only 95 Power Feeds but will be 141 Power Feeds out of Pocket. Many of you that is lots of Asking in Power Feeds...Do not give up Hope maybe in need of Assistance of your Very Friendly Buddy or Neighbour to kindly send you a Baby Duck or Baby Lamb from Neighbour Gifts but it will cost 2BB for Each Baby Duck or Baby Lamb

You Can get 8 Party Spins from Level 1 Silver, Gold and Diamond you might win some Power Feed to Help Complete this Event....it also helps those who so far no won the Scare Crows needed to Complete Scarecrow Cloud Row

Any Event that Gives Me Wonder Stables I will do it...I won some Power Feeds Trying to Get The Scary Scarecrow as I have already sold some Brownie,Blackie and Baldy and Motor Ducks while Prices are High I am going to win them Back via Baby Boom to get those needy Baby Lambs and Baby Ducks ;)

I'm still fairly new, but it does seem as if there is usually a baby boom which accompanies these breeding events. So here's hoping they don't forget.

As for my strategy. I've been churning out Ducks and Sheep as soon as I knew we would need them. I went ahead and bought the Brownies needed for both the quest and breeding, and about 2/3rds the Mallards. The cost was fairly reasonable even at 4-5 higher than normal prices. This will save me an additional 50 Power Feeds. If they do a baby boom, then that will save me another 30-50 Power Feed. I'm debating if I want to spend more for some of the others as CC is fairly replaceable, and PF is not. I'll sell extra ducks and sheep during the event to offset the cc I've spent.

    So that's my strategy.

    Good luck to everyone.

Rewards will not help the farm meet its shot-term goals. I'll look at it again in 2-3 days.

All needed breeding stock is on the market; duck and sheep feed is being sold to -0- ; the few ducks and sheep will be sold to -0- ; and all mulberry, carrot, tomatoes, sunflower and blackberry will be sold to -0- . No need for event gifts.

    Best wishes to all.

    - We were on the same wavelength!:)

Have been acquiring lots of base animals and low level breeding animals, whenever I could catch a bargain. Happily, I only need a few Motor Ducks to meet the event requirements; have enough of everything else. Therefore, I basically get to breed for babies (crossing fingers and toes for good skips) while hopefully making some nice CC's selling !:)
    Best of luck to everyone!:D

Thank you illy for all your hard work, but you forgot to add the Brownies and Mallards it'll take to get the Blackies and Motor Ducks, assuming no skips and no doubles from a Baby Boom event.
The way I figure it you'll need 64 more Brownies, assuming 4 Brownies per 1 Blackie for the 16 Blackies. xD
and 64 more Mallards for the 16 Motor Ducks, again assuming no doubles and no skips.
Obviously, this is worse case scenario and we all hope the Baby Boom happens and helps decrease these numbers significantly.

I certainly hope there is a long and profitable BB. :D

Here is Important Note to Newbies or Fairly New to Breeding Events......Decree and Willow.....Buying Breeding Mallards,Motor Ducks,Blackies to use them to donate towards This Breeding Quest is Expensive way to do this which i do not recommend at All !!!

This Does not help you need to obtain 72 Baby Ducks and 46 Baby Lambs which is also needed to complete Farmer-garten Event, as you actually have to use 144 Power Feeds to Get 72 Baby Ducks....as you will also get Mixture Mallards and Motor Ducks as well as 72 Baby Ducks.

Also you need to use 92 Power Feeds to get 36 Baby Lambs as you will also get Brownies and Blackies...in the current Markets Brownie are a reasonable price to buy them.

Getting 72 Baby Ducks and 46 Baby Lambs will not be saving you Power Feeds at all...!!!! Here a reminder need a Minimum of 236 Powers Feeds All 36 Mallards,16 Motor Ducks,22 Brownies and 16 Blackies can be obtain from Breeding outside Baby Boom Event....By Using Breeding Motels. We have to see when the Announcement of Baby Boom will be ???

Breeding During Baby Boom will reap you more Mallards,Motor Ducks.Brownies and Blackies plus likeness of better skips. Any Surplus you get goes towards Breeding Quest or Sold to the Markets for CC Profits ;)

Thank you Illy for organizing this for us... and everyone who helped!! I just love that I can come to strategy and the numbers are here for us when we need them. You are amazing!! Everyone who does the number crunching, my hats off to you... I've no patience for it. Good luck everyone and have fun.... Will try to do most breeding if and when there is a BBD.

:) Thanks for your clarifications Mooboy! I do understand about breeding being required for getting the baby animals and there being no advantage to using low level animals to save PF, but it is good to point that out in case anyone is confused.

It is my preference, which may be different from other farmer strategies, to buy breeding animals and base animals (when I get them cheap) for future use. I have been purchasing all types of base and low level animals at bargain prices for a long time. (Kind of like dear Broke!):p

Perhaps I worded my post badly, but I intend to sell these previously purchased animals for profit while doing necessary breeding for the event. Have already made double on some of my ducks and mallards! :) As I have enough animals to meet the event requirements (except a few Motor Ducks) I will not be pressed to breed for any particular level in case the breeding and skips do not go in my favor.

That happened in my first breeding events a few years back :wuerg:(before I was on the forum), which led to my current strategy.

I quite agree that buying breeding animals during events is way too expensive and not recommended! Patient long-term bargain hunting and high speed swoops results in future profits!:p

Now hoping for a Baby Boom with great skips!

@Mooboy I had thought about that after I purchased my initial animals. What you're saying is 100% correct, because we will still need the Babies. However, it doesn't specifically hurt either. I can hope to receive some babies from gifts.

Additionally, I'd much rather breed the brownies (instead of basic sheep) and have better (higher return) twins/skips etc for quests later on, which effectively means I'll get more return on my PF.

Finally, this is all very dependent on a baby boom for me. The CR from this event isn't exactly overwhelming me, so if there is no BBD, then I'll skip the entire event, or just breed the brownies I have and go for the Tree/Stables.

Thank you Ily for this thread.
@Mooboy Thank you for the wonderful analysation, strategies & tips

But had such a severe headache that I could not grasp but a few details. Could not do any farming. So waited waited & waited for any of our mathematical genius to open the strategy thread. But no one was online I suppose. No BBD too. So had a tablet & shut down the computer and promptly went to sleep in the hope that some one would do the needful. You did it, Illy. Thanks once again.

I am waiting for BBD to start.
