I'm done -- my first completed event!

And there is NO WAY I could have done it without all the help and generosity of others. From the lovely chutneys (allowing me to use 1x1s), to the gifted marble rocks, to those who sent me wreaths to sell for ccs toward manure. THANK YOU.

Truly - thank you to all who helped me finish -- I am so grateful!

I thought I'd be up all night hoping to complete it, but it looks like I can get some sleep tonight.

As for my notes in the feedback thread for this event: That still stands. There is no possible way I could have completed this without the help of others -- and since I can't expect others to help me achieve events all the time, I think 'medium' difficulty should be achievable for mid-level players. Based on comments from even the high level players, this event should have been rated Hard.

 

Just got my last drops and have set up the cloud row. Trees and pen out, hoping for some nice surprises!

I've finished! YAY! Instant roses for me got me the drops needed.

 

Thank you for your response and the information. It should be a big help in the future. I don't have that Cloud Row -- some time in 2014 was the first I was able to finish events but that one must have been before then. I was trying to do refinements but with the back to back events and all the demands on my inventory I never seem to have enough of the needed crops so I just do a little at a time. All those "you didn't create a refined plant" takes a toll on the inventory.

When people were talking about instant harvests I thought they were referring to 1x1s because they only discussed them during events.

Note: As far as the Cloud Row; I suggested before that BP revamp previous events as quests so that those of us who missed out the first time or newbies who weren't around yet could get a chance to obtain some of the good ones. In addition to the above I also missed out on the BB trees that were rewarded before. These items help a lot in events and gameplay.

 

8 hours left and 101 drops to go. My wife is much father behind. She's mumbling about buying drops so she doesn't lose the cloud row. Can't say as I blame her, all that work with just givers to show for it.

 

My strategy is......to complain right now. I am at level 96 and quite frankly I am tired of having to buy my way to the end of every event. I was suppose to go away for a couple of days...that didn't happen so have been farming my bleeeeeeep off. Bought, well I am not going to say how many drops I purchased BUT I am still waiting on event crops. Have zapped them with everything avaiable. Should make it.
My point is that I am TIRED of always spending my $$$$ on this game. I just do not have time to sit and play all day
When I first statred playing two years ago, I remember players finishing with a few days left to spare. Oh how I was eager back then to get to that plateau....seems I am just chasing the wind. The game is now spend your real money and shut up or get lost.....I don't mind spending money but this is truly getting to be too much

I'd like to thank all the peoples who came to my aid!!!! I seriously miscalculated those pens.
I did two rotations of Rosehip and brought it up by about 400 each and the gifts I got.
Now, it's the last hurrah with all fields of Rose hip, set my alarm for 3am (a fool? yes)
and finish it off I need 388 and that should do it. That Ringo Starr song, I get by with a little help from my friends

3:06am here and I just finished! (in more ways than one!) I will never do another event requiring that many drops again! Congratulations to all who finished! And "Good Luck" to those still plugging away!

 

Cloud row up and running. not sure how I did it, but I managed to gather enough drops and crops through refined carnation and CAC

 

Update:

As I sat down to do this last harvest, the wife informed me that she had finished and had her cloud row up!

With four and a half hours to go, I too have the cloud row up and collecting!

I hear you 007! Since the game has been sold/bought and is under new ownership I've noticed the not so subtle change in the way the events have been run. Slowly, but surely, they've increased the requirements to where I finished this last event with only four and a half hours remaining. This is compared to the day or day and a half that had become the normal for events such as this. There is no doubt in my mind that the new owners are treating this game as a cash cow! More sales grace our games. Events are so closely timed or the requirements are so large that we feel forced to spend money just to finish the event.


Know this, I'll keep playing as I always have. Buying the harvester and such as I always have. I'll continue to participate in worthwhile events until the time the new owners decide to raise the requirements to such a limit that I can no longer complete the event through simple participation. In my humble opinion this new greed will be the death of this game. If we are forced to pay as we play I'm out.

 

Farms 1 & 2 finished. This one (Farm 3) has all the crops in the ground -- just waiting to harvest -- need 33 more drops and should be able to get them from my 3 fields or something is seriously wrong with this game.

UPDATE: This last farm finished with 25 minutes left in event.

All 3 farms had to nuke the last 2 plantings in order to get enough drops. Don't have any instant crops.

 

Last farm finished with 2 hours to go. I needed just 17 drops and those easily came with the morning harvest. Done, Dusted and going to relax today before the next one comes. We can all throw axes and lower the frustration

 

Congrats to all who finished. And now I'm really wanting that old cloud row. It's from before my time as this farm didn't start until early 2016 and my other farm started early in 2015.

I'm going to have to revisit the farmhouse/greenhouse and refinements. Even refined raspberries could be a good thing, eh?

 

Even without the chestnut CR, you can substantially reduce time with WI, FC, flower CR, refinements and water/manure/SG. Roses can be grown on regular 2x2 in about 9 minutes.

 

Well done to those that completed event, I myself also finished but with less than 8 hours to go. At one point thought I was going to be short on drops but got there, please dont ask how but luckily I did.

To those less fortunate, dont be so downheartened it looks like Ingrid on the way to cheer us up. So by my reckoning every 3 months or so with all the bad feedback BP receive they throw in an event most of us enjoy and dare I say gives us decent rewards although Ingrid is usually farm coins, but we await as we know BP's generosity is somewhat lacking

 

well since there are so many complaints about this event the next time they pull one of these events on us everybody just needs to boycott it then maybe BP will see how serious we are about not wanting that type of event ect....

 

But I want them I don't see them as too hard, not do it interfere with my RL. It's a standard grow & throw. But perhaps it's the 1x1 plots that turning this into a failure. The game is more rigged towards buying, I can see that. Which I won't do cos then I lose the challenge and fun (for me).

I'm really sad some of you are not having fun doing them. Best wishes for joy and happiness regardless if you stay (would love that) or go (I'd miss you)

 

I kinda agree with you moraine it didn't really bother me either I just pick and choose my events but there were ALOT of ppl complaining about this event so I was just giving them an option lol
