Farmaramian Nights Strategy Thread

CR up and running, now back to planting white cactus...the more you feed otterdimm the more chances of getting lamps rather than expecting from trees and stables/workshops. So far feeded 18 Djinn hoping to feed 17 more to get 2 factory upgrades...

first part ...

 

Four otters to feed and the CR will be mine. So then done with it tonight I think.
Will plant white cacti on one field to use up the additional needles dropping until the end of the event, hoping that the otters will give me some lamps for the bear. If not, then so be it.
The other two fields will be with any kind of crops I still need for my barn or feeds for my animals ( I have them all in the inventory at the moment).

Had I mentioned that I don't like the djin bear? LOL

 

We have almost reached the halfway mark. The CR was finished with this morning's harvest and my 2nd farm needs 7 more carpets to get the CR. I'm disappointed with this event. I have the luxury of being able to farm most of the time and will not be able to finish all the bears. 2nd farm has fed 11 bears in 3 days. No way to finish and not looking like the first factory upgrade either. Had I been roughly halfway, I may have been tempted to keep going but not now. I don't want to turn an event requiring 5k in crops to one that is 20k in crops just to hope for magic lamps. I will go back to working on what I want to/need to and shake the dust off from this one. This farm will reach the factory upgrade but hopeful on the 2nd one.

My CR is up and running. Now I need to feed Djinn Bear, to upgrade my factory. Good luck everyone!!!

 

I also have the cloud row and have the luxury of being able to farm most of the time. I have only 10 bears and know there is no way at all I will even get the factory upgrades. Very disappointed. I have one field in all xxl trees and I got 2 lamps on harvest this morning. The other 2 are doing the white cactus in hopes of getting lamps that way.

 

I just got the cloud row, so I am glad that part is done! I have the Rain Forest cleared and have 188 1x1's planted with orange cactus, and I will continue to grow them, but make no mistake, I do not think I will even get to the 1st curtain only because I think that is how it is set up! But as I have left Baha and Crystal Falls the way I use them on a daily basis and my barn is in good shape, I will just see what else I can get from Otterdin! Good luck to all doing this event!

 

A couple of quotes from the DE forum admin about the ridiculously low drop rate for magic lamps (as translated by Google Translate):

I got my CR, the factory upgrades just isn't to be. Oh well, another time perhaps.

 

I gave up on relying/depending on the luck of drops.
I feed the otterdjin with carpets I can make from needledrops just for my regular crops.
If necessary, I will shuffle a full 3field sowing of white cacti in to have enough evnt plants, but otherwise I plant only what I need for my barn/animal feed etc!

This way my mind is at ease, as I now KNOW, I won't get any lamps.

i need to feed the bear 8 more times to get the first factory upgrade 48 more lanterns 78 more lamps and ill have BOTH upgrades wishful thinking??

How do Aluminum farmers and junks growers do it? I'm learning after all this time:

Want nothing, farm while awake ......... get a tree

Want nothing, dump neighbors gifts on animals .................. get ep

Want nothing, sleep farm ......................... get tree poop

Nothing but more and more problems for the broke farms

I am thoroughly and completely discombobulated with this event as it has brought me to a level of chagrin I have never felt in this game before now. I mean, did we Ever have a chance of success?
I had achieved the cloud row, and just fed 23 more otterdiny thingys hoping to get some lamps. I got four.
Not even enough to get one djinn bear. I am totally Flamboozilated. I would get more genies rubbing a milk bottle.
I am off to play cards.

Fifi....The problem is, once you put the meter out, with potential prizes, many of us take this as a challenge. I personally find it annoying when I can't complete one. We see the potential giver/upgrades and want them for our farms. BP should understand that all we want is a fighting chance to complete an event. Cloud row was fair and easy, but the bear is impossible.

 

If I can feed one more Djinn, I'll get the first of the factory upgrades. That's my goal for this farm. CRs up and running on both farms, so that part was easy-peasy.

 

I did get more lamps this morning from my harvest. I had been getting 1 lamp from 2 fields full of trees and 4 manufactury buildings so 16 factories. I also have all my arboreteums out also to make the best use of the space. This morning I got 5 lamps.

I just completed the 14th step so I have 9 to go for the first upgrade. Even with friends send me lamps, there is no way to finish this one.

I think they want us to buy their large basket or a bunch of lamps to finish this one.

 

I gave up the chase for ML after 3 days which included 3 harvests of CF filled with 20 hour trees providing 0 drops each. Other fields, mainly stalls + workshops, delivered 0-3 ML drops twice a day. I refused to use PF on baha stables and workshops for a minimal chance on more Magic Lamp drops.
From day 4 on I resumed normal farming and collect the drops as they come. Best thing: no more reason to be annoyed!

So .. thanks to neighbours and Otterdin giving the least worthy price a few times (DUH, 2 ML are worth 48 CC and 72 TEP on conversion), I made it to 19 Djinn feeds. With still 20 hrs to go I might make it to 21 feeds. I only wish Djinn Bear does stop giving me more unneeded GBs.
