The crop demand is crazy. I only did some of the FSQ tasks and never milled a blue farmcolor flag and never used the refinery. I wasn't much online on the weekend two weeks ago, and I have real life (sort of) including work and sleep time - not easy to come online and harvest just because the plants are ready. And as it now stands, I might not make it to the cloudrow, because I MIGHT not be able to harvest at work os MIGHT not wake up at 1 am to harvest..... Crazy that we can't use at least comfort fields.

Also, the minigame is boring. Hard, but boring.

The cac doesn't work on the event field. I once had a crop bonus from the farmwheel and not even that had worked.

A bit 50/50 on this one.

    - Separate play field. I love that I can participate in an event without having to put my farm through a huge upheaval, and without having to pause my regular harvesting or farm goals. Really well done on this
    - The rewards. I've gained some pretty good things from the crates as part of the FSQs, extra stars are always welcome and a few more CCs never hurt. Although I can't participate enough to get the best of the best rewards from the event shop thingy, I've still been able to come away with some bonuses (party spins etc.) - all the little things that give the farm a boost

    Dislikes
    - The restrictions. Not being able to use any buffs, and having such a limited amount of space, makes this event extremely challenging. I already knew ahead of time that I wouldn't be able to even consider finishing the event, as I was going to be away for 2 whole weeks, but even without that absence it seems that those who crunched figures realised it wasn't actually possible to complete the event.

I rarely participate in events, and when I do, I never complete them (nor do I participate with the intention of doing so). I only participate to whatever extent I can do so without having to go to extra effort (eg. I will donate what I have but not grow more, or I will participate if the playfield is separate). To this end, I usually get a few little bonuses at most. This is my preferred way of playing right now. Therefore, the drawbacks of this event don't affect me particularly badly. However, I am well aware that this is not the preferred playing style of many farmers. Lots of people like to participate in the events to rise to the challenge of completing them. To make it virtually impossible to finish is simply not fair.

    Plus:
    • On the event field
    • All farmers equal, no buffs
    • Event shop with good rewards at a fair price
    Not so thrilled about:
    • Duration, One month is too long for an event for me. It becomes boring, chorelike
    • That you couldn't do both quests and CR
    • That you only could do the CR in the final week.
    • Didn't enjoy the mini game.
    • Since I wanted the CR, I got all my blue flags in the last week. Having to do a lot of them in a relative short amount of time, killed the mini game even more
    • The way the refinements are set up. It should give back some of the crop if you found nothing, and it should have lower requirement and duration time. It should be a FUN thing to do. Not a waste of time and crop thingie to do.
    • Growth time
    • growth time made the refinements pretty useless for people that can't check in very frequent.
I'm sure there are more to dislike, but I can't figure out any more positives.

Have to agree with Moraine on the plus side with event playfield and everyone equal doesnt matter what level you are at there is no advantage, if you are prepared to harvest every 3hr 36 mins then you gain on others who are unable to do so.

This event was rated as EASY. To me easy is able to complete all components of an event. I have only completed 2 of the quests and it looks like I am not going to finish the stadium part of event and thats with not donating anything to final quest.

very boring event ....I will give you marks BP to have an event throughout the World Cup but this one was badly thought out and impossible to complete.....you have 4 years to come up with something else

I agree with what most have said here. The concept, in theory, was pretty good. A long event throughout the World Cup with different aspects. Plus using the event field, as said already, if you are prepared to (and are able to, of course) harvest to the max, you get the benefits but other than number of times one can harvest, a level playing field. :)

The prizes in the shop are very good and though I was/am unable to do two of the quests, I will still bag me a lot from those shops without milling one Fan Colo(u)r so that is definitely a plus. :music:

The problem I see is that the crop takes so long and the Farmcup Flags need so many Oleanders that it is not enjoyable - it takes three harvests for one Farmcup Flag! :wuerg:

Numbers could have been tweaked to make this a more enjoyable and less boring event. I don't expect prizes for nothing but really, I do wonder why I started it. I know the answer, I just have to have a go at every event but I am a little disappointed when I can't actually finish it all. 8)
All in all, I do appreciate the attempt to make events different from the usual grow and throw. :D

I agree with all the comments here. The event is too long and tedious and essentially impossible to finish, since buffs that increase crop yield don't work on the game field; I did finish all the side quests but won't be able to mill enough flags at 400 a pop to finish the last part.

Allow more options to purchase event crops or buffs from the game shop or provide more event buffs or allow regular buffs to work might have helped.

Anyone else wonder why the blue team is shooting the penalty kicks when its THEIR goalie with the handball???? And why is the other blue player on the field???? The goalie is a ball hog.....first he commits the handball OUTSIDE of the goalie box AND then he kicks it to the other goal????

Otherwise my comments would mimic what's already been said...too much effort for too little reward

I will add to my comments, now that this event is nearly finished. I do like the "separate" events. I like that they are not affected by any of the usual methods of improving harvest. But this one was just tedious. The only way to get anywhere was to harvest every three and a half hours, which sometimes is just not convenient. For a situation such as this, with no way to affect harvest, have something that we can harvest twice a day and get somewhere.

Also, I have noticed, the last several of these "separate" events have had companion quests that make it very clear a player has to choose between the companion quests or the main event. Perhaps this is in effort to have something for everyone, but what it does in reality is to alienate the players.

The prizes are very good and as always I really like the chance to choose what I win - but as mentioned above, three harvests necessary just to get one red flag... tedium defined.

Please make events more rewarding, not in the sense of prizes but in the sense of continuing gratification. Doesn't have to be instant, although I do love events where I'm getting prizes even in the first day - but at least something more meaningful.

I think it would be better if the companion quests were more like the event shop -- one added each week but the previous quests remain open until the end of the event. This way those players wanting to get the event CR, etc. can do so and then contribute to the companion quests with any extra crops/drops.

These companion quests always end up being an either/or not a companion to the event. If you do the companion quests then you don't have enough crops/drops to do the event and vice versa.

Sometimes you plan to do certain events/quests and then something comes up in RL that doesn't give you the time to do it.

After all the hours I put in on this event I would like to see it extended so that I can finish. All my farms will only get to Level 8.

I am not sure if it showed in FAQ for the event or whether the companion quest information was "locked" until they started or whether I just missed them but I was expecting there to be some event crops rewards so that we could do both. With the time allotted if you wanted the CR you could only do the quests partially.

I probably should have known better because there were previous companion quests for the special event field (playfield) and they were either/or not really companions.

The quests end before the next one starts and also before the event ends so you have to make up your mind each time as you go along.

Looked at the FAQs for this event and knew upfront I would never be able to complete it. The only way to complete this event would be to spend, spend, spend lots of Real Money. I used to spend money on this game when it was still fun. It isn't fun anymore so I no longer spend. About the only reason I continue to play is to gift to my neighbors. I have lowered my expectations for this game down close to zero.
One last note: Shop is closed to purchases today. Really?

Aside from the fact the the STORE is CLOSED...this event was horrible. its another event I wont be able to complete...and I am getting really tired of events I cant complete all of a sudden

    This event was a bust

BTW, I agree with a fellow poster...this event totally NEEDS to be extended. it was complicated and there was not enough time
