I've been using 2x2s. Am I making a mistake doing that? I did the FSQs up to this current one, so I don't have a lot of crops, but I have amassed a few star coins. Maybe that was a mistake, too?

lol, measuring mine a little differently. Have enough sticks for 12 red flags and enough crops for 7 1/2 red flags. Did 1st quest, skipped 2nd. Would like to do the 3rd but depends where crops are towards end of week 3. Also bought all crops from shop.

+300% EP harvest, now, time need for grow 1 round is 2:36hr, crop only had 173
Is it stuipd to use so many crop to refined? I look at the stick, I had 234,
I had done part of quest 1, skip quest 2, will I do quest 3.....
let see how many crop I will got before end of quest 3, and also stick I got.
As, I need to spare stick & crop for the red flag...

I can't keep up with two events at the same time, not now at least. I found out about this event late so I don't think it is worth starting it.
I just want to wish good luck to everyone, I hope you score many goals:music:

I'm useless at this soccer game, I've never done this event before. How do you get the ball past the little slidy people?

Can still grow a little bit, get some drops. Can either turn them into blue flags, shoot some balls, and grab a few goodies. Or just let them sit until the exchange. I haven't checked but usually EP and CC. Keep it really casual - and stress free.

Edit: @AniE - good question, try to time to shoot the ball when the boys start to move apart. Keep the mouse clicked, and only let go when you want to shoot. Others might have better instructions.

Arielh, this event has many facets. Depending on how much time you intend to spend swimming and sleeping... you can grow the event crop, mills some blue flags and use them to play hockey for SC to use in the shop. If you enjoy those games. Or you can donate the crops to one of the remaining quests. Or...
375h remaining /24= 15 days If you can manage around 5 harvests per day you can probably get the CR if that interests you.

AniEEEEE -- It can be tricky to score a goal. Easier than the previous soccer games. Less time consuming. I have to stare at the sliders for a while to get the rhythm and then try a ball. It takes practice.

The first week I got 0-6 drops. I thought we'd get twice as many with twice as many plots the second week. And three times as many the third week. But nooooo..... I don't think I'm getting zeroes anymore but the most I've noticed is 7 drops from the three sections planted.

I'm going to wait until the end of the week to decide if I do Q3.

Can anyone tell where we should be at this time for crops (range would be fine) for the CR?

I have 4,444 crops right now and 300 drops I am just trying to get enough to make the 15 red flags I hope that helps you!;)
Banjoman, I forgot to mention 650 of those Oleanders I bought in the football shop on weeks 1 and 2!

Depends on how frequently you're harvesting...

    24h/3:36 = ~6.8 harvests per day maximum
    24h/ 4h = 6 harvests per day

The CR portion of the event is 10 days long. We need 6,750 crops for all the red flags.
We will have 28*4= 112 plots for the last 10 days.
112 plots aka crops per harvest * 6 per day = 672 * 10 days = 6720 crops potentially harvested during that time.
If you're harvesting 3 times a day you will collect half as much. So you will need half as much before July 5th.
At that point all extra crops can be used to mill blue flags and play soccer for SC. So as not to waste them.

Banjo - Per Mir's original numbers of how many event crops we need per week to get the 15 Red flags at the end.

    Week 1 = 588
    Week 2 = 1176 so 588 + 1176 = 1764
    Week 3 1764 so 1764 + 1764 = 3528
    Week 4(last 10 days) = 3360 so 3528 + 3360 = 6888

(These numbers have room to spare which is good for me.)

Personally, I'm not doing any quests till I reach 3528 crops + whatever crops I need for the quest so I can stay on target.

Thank you Mir & all the other Smart Math people.

I decided I have enough goods to do Q3. I will do part of Q4 and decide on the last day how much total I want to do. I have 15 more blue flags to play soccer with, later when I'm feeling better.

I'm trying to figure out what the oleanders have to do with soccer. I have an oleander that is too big for it's location. I'm always hacking away at it to keep it in check. I think the branches would make good sticks? I've seen them all over the city. They are beautiful. Saw a hedge where they are about 20ft tall. I'm ready for the main event to start...

Finally the time has come to mill the red flags:D Highest priority for me is the cloud row, but I also want to do quest IV.

    Please note:
    • Quest IV ends: Wednesday 11th of July at 14:00 CEST
    • Cloud row event ends: Sunday 15th of July at 14:00 CEST
    • Farmcup ends: Sunday 15th of July at 22:00 CEST
    • This means we have 4 days to complete the cloud row after Quest IV ends.
    • Last chance to get the cloud row is 8 hours before the events ends! (If I understand the FAQ correctly.)
The last week I've gotten 4 or 5 harvests each day. To be on the safe side I'll count on 4 harvests a day for the rest of the event. We now have 111 1x1 plots (genuine fan takes up a plot), so 4 harvests a day yields 444 crops a day. In the 4 days after quest IV ends I'll then be able to grow 1776 crops. Together with the starter seeds that'll be enough for milling 4 red flags. We need 15 red flags in total, so to make sure I have enough for the cloud row I'll mill 11 red flags before I start quest IV.

TL;DR: I'll start by milling 11 red flags. Then do as much of Quest IV as I can. After the quest is over I'll be able to mill the last 4 red flags with 4 harvests a day.

I'll recommend that order if your priority is the cloud row. Depending on the number of harvests the last 4 days:
    • 2 harvests a day: mill 13 red flags before starting quest IV
    • 3 harvests a day: mill 12 red flags before starting quest IV
    • 4 harvests a day: mill 11 red flags before starting quest IV
    • 5 harvests a day: mill 10 red flags before starting quest IV (and hold back 5 crops for the final red flags)
    • 6 harvests a day: mill 9 red flags before starting quest IV (and hold back 10 crops for the final red flags)
If you want to be on the safest side you can of course mill all 15 red flags before starting quest IV, but then you might not be able to do as much of the quest as you would otherwise.

As I predicted drops is not a problem for me, I currently have 433 sticks. Quest IV requires 102 sticks, the 15 red flags require a total of 300 sticks, so I have that covered already.
After the quest is done and the cloud row is up and running, leftover crops may be used to mill blue flags, finally :p

Good luck everyone and don't forget to spend your star coins :)

    @sglick Final plan ;)

I almost forgot about the new Real Estate. Now that field is out of sync again...

I put my Genuine Fan on the Main field since the real estate on the special field is so precious to me. Makes it a little awkward for me to remember to harvest it but... it gets done.

So far I think I have used 37 blue flags from quests and the GF giver, for a total of 240 SC on main farm. mmm... math isn't right on that... maybe 38 blue flags... 39... lol For certain I have 240 SC. I was trying to decide what to spend them on and realized everything looks pretty cheap this time! I had one soccer game that was a total miss. lol I wasn't feeling so good that day. I gave up and came back another day.

Drops have not been a problem for me either. I have plenty to get the CR and do all of Q4, still working on crops... I have the whole field in 1x2s as a compromise between maximizing drops and saving CC on manure.

Hope everyone that celebrated Independence Day in USA enjoyed their. And even those that didn't celebrate!

Finally, it's showtime for me!! Or that's what it feels like:music::D I have enough crops and drops for 11 red flags. That will leave me 305 crops and 179 drops in my barn. Now I have to gather my self discipline and make a much better effort to harvest in a more timely manner:oops::wuerg:xD Oh, I only need 3 more coins to get my Stag Beetle:music::inlove::music: Good luck to all!!

I've had limited time with harvests with the last week tied up in home renovation and yesterday's family cookout. I've missed some harvests and haven't used manure each time so I need to do the math to see what I can accomplish. I had enough crops for 10 red flags and have used them and played the 40 games that I got as rewards from the red flags. I have gotten some nice goodies from the shop. I hope I can grow enough to finish the 'main event' for CR plus Quest 4. I thought I wouldn't have to worry since I completely skipped Quest 3 but now I have doubts. I just don't know how many harvests I can guarantee each day right now so I will likely just see how it goes these next few days. Once again, many thanks to Mir for breaking it down to manageable pieces and timing. She is truly amazing. :)

Has anyone noticed that the event FAQ says that milling the red flags is "Available during Week 4 only."? That sounds like we'll need to mill all red flags this week because we won't be able to mill them during week 5.

For week 3 I'm growing and growing and seeing teeny little batches of over a hundred each time. This is painful. I took Mir's advice and hung on to my crops for dear life. I think I'll go for the row first since that has the artisan crate that a person can really save on resources. I'm only just past half way for crops and it takes 4 rotations to make a red flag...patience....patience.

Mir - Your wisdom only helps when I realized week 4 has begun. I only realized when I noticed that my Baha mill needed to be restock & then noticed I could mill red flags. I was able to mill 8 right away before reading your post.

Since I have no clue how many rounds I do each day, I am gone to be conservative and mill 13 red flags before I start quest 4. I want that CR for all this! more than I want whatever the quests give. LOL

I've been too distracted by RL to keep up with forum - Sorry for being away.

Thanks Mir for telling me what to do. It's much appreciated :inlove::p:inlove:

EDIT: I just read PNP's post. I'm way behind since I could only mill 8. I guess there will be no quest 4 for me. LOL

When do we do something with the 15 red flags???

Suzee - I did the same thing and harvested & re-planted this morning on auto pilot. Just realized that there is more real estate available. I'll wait an hour when it is time to replant to use the new plots. I really do not like uneven fields. Drives me whacky. I think I'm developing RL OCD symptoms. LOLxD:cry:xD It's all Farmerama's fault that I am turning into an OCD. :wuerg::p:wuerg:
