Farmcup Strategy Thread

Thanks for the heads up, the wording of the ingame pop up led me to believe it had to be placed op the event field to give out flags but I should have checked.

There is no mention of a week 5 in the FAQ, so I've just assumed that week 4 has 10 days we can mill the red flags until 8 hours before the end of the event. From the FAQ:

 

You can turn in the red flags now. At the... donut shop... lol Click to customize your stadium. Do ppl in other countries eat a lot of donuts at soccer games? Around here I think they mostly drink beer... never been to a game. Seen the news reports.

I woke up at 5a and saw Q4 and on main farm started donating to it before I realized it wasn't the CR. I really shouldn't sleep and farm... That farm has 7 red flags right now. There is still time if I can manage 5 harvests a day/night. The other farms have 8-9 because I donated to Q1-3. The problem with Q4 is the crates are unknown items. I might get something I already have mucho. But of course I'll do as many as I can.

 

After doing Q1 and Q2, I totally avoided Q3 and will only do Q4 (or as much as I can lol!) AFTER I have milled my 15 Red Flags. I have done 7 already so I only need 8 more.

After milling my Red Flags and donating them, I did the mini-game and managed to grab lots of goodies. Might be a bright side to this event ... if we have the patience to wait ... and wait ... and wait.

Is it me or is the actual main event a bit of an anticlimax in that I don't see any customisation to the arena? Or am I not seeing something happening (it is a possibility!).?
I will do Q5 though - because I can!

 

I got my Stag beetle !! Now to get the Fangbrush factory Think I need a little over 1,000 crop yet I have the drops Good luck to all !! What a road

haha well I needed a lot of sleep and swimming. I will try to take part in any of the upcoming events soon. I missed having a strategy and doing events like I used to.

 

When you pay in a red flag a decoration is unlocked, you can click it to customize your arena

 

Finished up to 12 levels and 3 to go and make CR up and running..

Well, I’ve paid in 12 flags and still can’t see how to decorate the stadium. I think I need a giant arrow that says click here! I am milling all red flags before doing anything else but it’s sloooooow going. Oh for a crop booster!

 

Do you see there's a green check marks on all the footballs ? Move it to the other squares. To the right it shows what you have chosen.

 

AniE, my opinion is...no. I myself have plenty of CR's to give me CC's

 

I think the World Cup Balloon gives EP. The burger one gives CCs.

First off, I must sleep twice as much as everyone else since I only have 11 red flags. I think I'll wait till I have the last 4 before clicking on anything.

I found the donuts shop (really donuts! weird) The problem is there are way too many things to click on - too many choices. I am like TC. I want big arrows that say Click Here. Maybe, I have a secret desire to be Alice in Wonderland where everything is labeled. HeHeHe

I guess I will be forced to read the FAQ's again so I can try to understand the choices.

EDIT: Yuck - I read the event FAQ so now I understand why I need 15 red flags and what to click on. I'll still wait till I have the last 4.

 

I know you have figured it out, but just for you and TC :

The Blue arrow shows where you donate, the black points to the selected "effect on the stadium". Which you can get by switching those green check marks which I didn't put an arrow on.

I'm 3 or 4 red flags away, bored. I don't enjoy the mini game either. Which I usually do the first 10 times or so at least. Strange. So 3 or 4 more harvests, and then I'm done. Might grow out of old habit and for EP, yes you read it right. Grow for EP ! Who would have thought... not me

 

Well, not sure I will even go for the 4Q. I have been doing 5 harvests a day and only had enough to do 6 flags yesterday morning and another 1 this morning. I am thinking I may be able to do just over 1 red flag a day. Drops I have had enough since last week

 

ok i need 9 more red flags as of now. I got 590 crops (for one to mill. Be 8 left)(not counting whats down) and 137 sticks. I got a lot to do still...lol And a short time to do it in.. I am saving and saving...

If I read right we can mill red flags up till 8 hours before the event ends. So when timer gets down. I will see if I can do any of week 4 quest. but will make sure before I do I can get the crops after it ends.

I will say grats to everyone else.. as I am sure I am not only lost as a goose... but way way way behind...lol

 

Cloud row up and operating. Must admit, I'm glad that's over - this event was rather like watching paint dry, without all the excitement.

I have 1 more Red flag to make and I will be done with that The Stag Beetle is the only thing I have bought so far. We're in the homs stretch now (at least it feels that way to me)

 

I am messing up with this event. Half the time, I forgot about this event and fail to harvest the event plants. Not sure I will get the cloud row. So far I unlocked 5 item only.
