This sounds like a fun event. The type I like. Looking forward to it. It's not as complex as it looks, just allow yourself to flow ............. lol

Good post. I think adopting your plan is the best way to go for now. Thanks!

Well for me this event just has a few too many different aspects to it, or at least that's how I'm feeling atm :sleepy:.. (this could change :p). I also am not a soccer fan, so am thinking about just doing the bits that appeal then making the most of some precious barn stocking time! (Edit- just realised this is all done on a special playfield anyway so we have full use of our fields to do casual farming during this event anyway..unless I'm misunderstood? I'm very tired whilst reading this!)

After having a quick scan through, the main things that appeal to me are getting the stag beetle stall in the event shop and doing Farm Quests 2,4,5. So, if I stuck to that, all I have to do is grow enough Oleanders and collect enough sticks to play enough games in the mini game to get that beetle and enough to cover the quest requirements and, along with tropical products, trees, crops, and breeding animals, I would be done, yes? If anyone would like to clarify that for my event addled brain I'd be most grateful:p :music:.

Good luck to everyone doing the full thing.

I have always enjoyed the soccer mini game. All the information in the FAQ was way too much to take in at first - I started zoning out around the half way mark!! Thanks everyone in this thread for making it easier to comprehend. With this event, I'll just be happy to get the stag beetle as the last San Gigantica express train refused to drop one off at my station!! Good luck to all who take part.

Pretty sure trophies, etc are inactivated for the special field. It seems part of the philosophy behind this type of event is to level the playing field so that upper level players don't have an advantage. Sorta makes it more fun for the lower level players...
We'll have the Juicy Bar Calendar. I bet we get some crops from it.
    I'm going to steal that...

I don't see any mention of this tidbit...
    From the FAQ:
Not sure how much real help that's going to be...
I'm not sure what my strategy is going to be yet.
Might play it safe... might throw caution to the wind...
    Not buying baskets tho.
Haven't decided about the refinements yet...
Not having CAC is such an anti-climax. Feels like we're being hobbled...
This is a really interesting event, even tho it's soccer based... lol
It'll be difficult for me to get all the crops and get my beauty sleep... We really shouldn't have to choose.

Wowzie! I think my expression after reading all the FAQ info matches Growalots avatar pic! My eyes were half closed and starting to roll back into my head. o_O

Oh my oh my. I'm beginning to think the CR will not be within my reach from this event. RL will obviously rear its ugly head several times over the next 4 weeks. Little things unimportant to BP like work, -.- sleep, :sleepy: etc.

My plan might have to be getting enough star coins to buy stables and other lovely little goodies.:D Ah well, we will see. I have read a couple very interesting plans and will definitely follow however I can.

No. :( You won't be able to do all those quests AND mill fancolor flags for the minigames. On the previous page somebody did the math, the maximum you can grow is 12000 crops while the quests require 13000 of them. The only thing you can do is wait for the stadium decoration event with the 15 red flags, and those will reward you 15*4=60 fancolors blue flags, and THEN you can go playing.

Now that I looked again at the event field, I don't believe the extra crop we might get here is URGENT. Yes you do need it for the total crop count, but you only have space for seven seeds - getting more is not as helpful if you cannot seed them.
I think I will use the greenhouse, maybe I can speed up the production. BUT! If I'm not constantly online (like, I have a job and plans for the 22th weekend and there's that funny need for sleeping) I might not make as good a use of the refined plants as I could from the crop used for refining them.

Feedback thread is not the best place for questions (besides rhetorical ones :p). Countries that are not participating in the world cup will not receive any upgrades. Countries that are participating will receive at least one upgrade. If they receive more than one or not depends on how well the football team does in the actual world cup. If they advance from the group stage the item gets plus one upgrade. After that there is a new upgrade for each game they win, plus a bonus upgrade if they are among the top 2 teams (edit: not top 4 as I had originally written). In total the winning country of the world cup will get 7 upgrades, second place 6 upgrades, third place 5 upgrades, fourth place 4 upgrades, losers of the round of 8 will get 3 upgrades, while losers of the round of 16 will get 2 upgrades (one for participating and one for advancing from the group stage).

I've bought two givers, Germany and Brazil. I don't really care about football, but now I will have a reason to pay some attention to see how "my" teams are doing. My real team Norway of course didn't qualify, so not buying that giver! But I did see in the DE forum that some players have bought all 32 participating countries o_O:wuerg:xD

I thank you all for the advises posted here. My conclusion is that if I want the cloud raw I should buy some givers, and even so I'm not sure I will get it, as I can't harvest more than 3 times a day.

Givers will only give you the finished fan colors, those won't help you with the cloud row. For the CR you need crops and drops for milling red flags.
Let's see. Crop calculation for 3 harvests a day:
    • First week: 7*3*28 = 588
    • Second week: 7*3*56 = 1,176
    • Third week: 7*3*84 = 1,764
    • Last 10 days: 10*3*112 = 3,360
    • Starter seeds: 10
    • Quest I: 175
    • Event shop: 650
    • Total: 7,723
The crop needed for the CR is 6,750 so you can definitely make it with three harvest a day :D You can't do much of the quests that require crops though. Remember that by donating red flags towards the cloud row, you will get 60 fan colors for the mini game also.

Some might also be interested in calculations for 4 harvests a day:
    • First week: 7*4*28 = 784
    • Second week: 7*4*56 = 1,586
    • Third week: 7*4*84 = 2,352
    • Last 10 days: 10*4*112 = 4,480
    • Starter seeds: 10
    • Quest I: 175
    • Event shop: 650
    • Total: 10,037

I have just finished the quest. Played my prize Fan Colours and managed to get 6 Coins each time! That part was easy. The rest is a complete mystery.

My strategy, play any Fan Colours I win until I see how I have everything else I want and play with whatever I have left at the end! :inlove:
Allez les *insert any colour you like here*! :D

I completed the first three levels of the quest, didn't want to give away my breeding animals for the fourth.

I did some calculations on the drop rate and we need a bit over one drop per harvest for the first week. So if we consistently get one drop and every 3 or 4 harvest get two drops, that'll be enough.

@-Mir85- You're a star. I've read your feedback post and all your posts here, you really mean it and you provide very solid info. I take things easy most of the time but it's getting obvious that playing all these events is becomming a full time job for players, yet it is equally obvious that even game makers can't keep up with their own pace and for some time things have been all over the place, basically steadily spoiling the game taking it from once relaxed farming to speeding up craze. I don't have much hope for real improvement once the game took this downslope mess-it-all ride and will adjust to that by skipping more events than usual and slowing the game down for myself accordingly but thumbs up for your efforts.

So in other words don't panic if you don't get ANY drops for a harvest?o_O:eek: Does this mean it's pointless to plant on 1x1's in hopes of increasing drops?

For the first harvest don't panic no matter what :p If you don't get any drops for the first three harvests, a little panicking is appropriate :wuerg: but let's hope it doesn't come to that xD I don't think 1x1 or 2x2 will matter for the drop rate. I'm sticking to 2x2, less manure that way :D

Add my gratitude to Mir for her concise breakdown of crops, drops, event rewards and how to approach the quests. :inlove:My plan is similar in approach so it good to have some check figures but had I wanted to do things differently, your guided outline is the perfect framework for making a revised plan. I've always been amazed by your ability to sort things out that seem overwhelming and make them into 'possible'. :)

I have also completed the first three levels of Quest 1. I didn't do the last step since we just had a breeding event and I want to keep my stock. I think the star coins from level 3 plus the star coins we will gain later in the event will be enough to get what I want from the event shop.

Good luck to all the teams!

Mir - You must have a PHd in confuzzelment :Dor whatever the highest degree is in Noraway. Thank you so much for your insights and setting us straight. :inlove:

I have a quick question if your still around (or anyone else). I did do the last step (my form of FOCD requires me to complete each quest regardless of how ridiculous.) Since, I had the animals - so why not. My question is: now that I have 6 games is it OK to play the mini games or should I save them? Will the blue flags be needed later on?

I am also thinking it is best to not do anything (no milling) with the Oleanders and drops until a future week? Am I correct in this assumption?

Also, one sort of smart thing I noticed is that the 1x1 give 2 crops & the 2x2 gives 5 since 2 x 4 = 8 from the 1x1 is higher than the 5. It seems to make since to do 1x1s. I personally am not worried about the manure since I have so many animal stalls out on my other fields.

EDIT: One other tid-bit. We can buy 200 Oleanders form the coin shop for 5 coins. I bought them right away. It is the only thin I am buying till the end or I have a better understanding of what is going on.

I can't decide between Brazil or Argentina - Germany sounds like a good choice, too. I am only gone to buy 1 so I have to try to be smart in my decision. My heart is real clear. It keeps telling me to buy Sweden.
