Thank you everyone for the kind words :inlove: this is my favorite part of playing farmerama :)

You can safely play the mini game any time you want with the flags you win :) They will not be needed for anything later. But it would indeed be wise not to mill any flags just yet.

You do get 8 crops when harvesting 4 small plots, but you also had to plant 4 seeds on the small plots, so you only really gain 4. On a big plot you plant 1, harvest 5 and again you gain 4. So without buffs like CAC you gain the same amount of crops whatever plot size you use.

My real team Norway of course didn't qualify, so not buying that giver! But I did see in the DE forum that some players have bought all 32 participating countries o_O:wuerg:xD

Thank You so much Mir...This is the help I needed. :inlove: I will try Germany and Brazil plus Denmark if it is there. This will make it much more fun.

    Some drop numbers from german players: 3, 1, 4, 2, 2, 1, 0, 1, 4, 5

That's on average 2.3 sticks per harvest, so that's good! By my calculation we only need an average of 1.2 sticks per harvest. So if it continues like this, the drop rate will not be a problem.

xD Mir - I am math challenged to begin with and Farmerama math never seems to add up. :cry:xD:cry:Thanks for setting straight. It is just one lost round.:p Thanks for reassuring me that I can play the mini game & don't have to mill for awhile. Yea!

My first harvest gave me a big fat 0 drops xD
Did the quest up the the breeding requirements. So got some blue flags, saving those for a less blustery day. Don't want them to fly away

I'm actually on the same page with you on this. Planning and analysing is my favourite part also. But with the growing number of events, growing complexity in a way, or at least a lot more frequent changes and unexpected mechanisms, also with the game getting bigger and bigger with more item types involved, what once used to be a welcomed fun and brain teazer, has now become something between mundane duty and irritation as the game "demands" more of my attention and time than I'm freely willing to give it. Growing number of individual events requiring near nonstop playing for complete success with very little rewards along the way is another aspect that works against my enjoyment and involvement. All that results in me having to compromise and excercise the managerial skill of quick scan for a rough assessment leaving the detailed analysis for only a few really rewarding events to make sure i get what I want from them. No need to say that this is likely to lead to the end of the game for many players who feel similar way as I do. I wish I could do something about that but unfortunatelly there are other brains, money hungry ones, driving this trend.

I've decided what I'm going to do about refinements...
Since I'm dealing with 3 farms I like to keep the triplets on the same schedule. If I do get a refinement... won't do me any good unless I get the same one on all 3 farms. I'm going to wait until after the stadium decorating part. (I think it's funny that a soccer stadium is being decorated with jack-o-lanterns.) After we complete the 15 tasks we can't do any more so I'll keep growing event crops, maybe, and donating them for the consolation prizes IF I manage to complete all 15 tasks. Or maybe I'll use the crops for playing some soccer... score some SC to buy goodies I want... ;) That's probably a better idea.

I couldn't figure out which givers y'all were talking about. The only one I had noticed was in the event FAQ that I posted about on Page 2. It took some hunting but I see what you're talking about now. Then I had to do some hunting to find out how to buy them. $5 for one... I'll pass. I'll just wait for the free one on July 5th.

I'm among the many that are tired of too many events but can't not do one due to FEOCD. I'm also among the many? that have complained about the events being too boring. Guess it's a matter of "be careful what you ask for". I think this month long event is very interesting. However, due to RL I don't have enough gray matter to really relax and play the game in my preferred manner. I just check to see what others have picked up from the FAQ, after I've scanned it, and then try to make a plan from there. Constantly adjusting as RL dictates.

    Have fun ya'll and enjoy!
    Rah, rah, rah...

Gah, that line from the FAQ is incorrect. I found out Carrot Bread (+20% EP from sowing seeds, 4hrs, silver slot buff) does work on the special field. It's a few extra EP per harvest. Ssssst, don't tell the Game Team.

Thanks @Okkkay for the response although it wasn't the one I was hoping for :(. Guess I'm going to have to re-read the FAQ and re-evaluate if I can be bothered to do this event (probably will once I get my head round it :p). Thank you to all who contribute to the strategy as this one makes me feel a bit :sleepy:.

@fifitrixiebell as I understand it you are not aiming for the cloud row, but instead for Quests 2,4,5 and the stag beetle from the shop, is that correct?

If so, you'll need 4,970 crops and 180 drops for the quests. You don't have to grow any additional crops for the fan color flags, since a total of 30 of them are awarded in the quests you want to do. Playing 30 mini games will give you more than enough coins for the stag beetle :)

@-Mir85- you are a star indeed! :inlove: My brain was still very much fuddled about what I would need to do to reach my original goals for this event but you have just provided the answer...thank you!! :D I may feel less lazy and do more of the event but right now I'm just feeling lazy xD.

I know the drop rate seems very low, but I hope to assure you that it high is enough.

Lets work with the 28 plots we currently have. If you want to mill a blue flag you need 170 crops and 6 sticks. To grow 170 crops you need just over 6 harvests: 170/28 = 6.1. So one stick per harvest gives enough drops to mill the flag as soon as you have the crops.

The total requirements of each quest stick, no pun intended, to approximately the same ratio of crops and drops. Generally the lower levels require slightly fewer drops per crop, while the higher levels a few more. But in total, for the whole quest around one drop per harvest is enough.

If you want to mill a red flag you need 450 crops and 20 sticks. Growing the crops takes 450/28 = 16.1 harvests. Here one drop per harvest is not enough to get the 20 needed. But if you get an extra drop every fourth harvest, that'll do it. Or in other words, an average of 1.25 drops per harvest is needed.

From what players here and in the DE forum have reported it seems that the average drop rate is around 2 drops per harvest, which is more than we need. Even though the number of drops per harvest is low, the amount of crops per harvest is also very low. I am boldly predicting that drops will not be a problem this event.
