I usually think the same way Clashstrummer! BUT, there is this one candy that I cannot remember the name of that has raisins and peanuts in it. It's one big square block and I like it a lot. We used to get peanuts and raisins mixed at school for snack and then I found them in a chocolate and I was in heaven! Whenever I see them I get one, but they can't be found in too many places it seems!

I'm guessing that's a "Chunky" your talking about labmommy it's comes in about a 2" square. They are not very common anymore. Not sure who makes them but that might be the reason. Try finding a Zagnut or a Zero bar anymore it's almost impossible.

:inlove:That's it!! Chunky. Try putting raisins in anything else and I won't touch it with a 10 foot pole, but that candy right there...YUM:inlove: Now I know why they have seemed a bit stale the last few times I found them!

The first meeting of the FC(ns)A was a complete success! So many members brought extra chocolate goodies to share and those goodies were devoured by the attendees. The chocolate covered strawberries looked delicious but you had to look quick as they disappeared just about as fast as they came out of the dipping chocolate. There were a couple of incidents of attendees trying to dip things other than strawberries though. We will be checking for ladles at the door next meeting so don't bother bringing any. One attendee had to be escorted out early for trying to dip his/her (keeping identity a secret as to not embarrass) head in the chocolate. (Shame on you, BeeDance!)
Note to secretary, provide towels and a shower next meeting.

We are looking forward to the next meeting in about a month's time so mark your calendars! There will be Mint Juleps and chocolate horses in honor of Derby Day! (My pick is Carpe Diem for the win.)

    See you there!

I feel like I should be ashamed. I'm not, but I should be... normally I am quite successful at such attempts.

Be glad Bubba is still out of town. He's not a chocaholic but where there's food there's Bubba (I think he was raised by ants).
Looking forward to the next meeting too!

I'd ask you to send some here but I don't think it would be in very good shape by the time it arrived! :pxD:cry:

It's GREAT when it gets a bit runny! My little sister (she's 2 yrs younger) and I used to stir it up until it was soupy and takes bits of one another's to make "recipes" before eating! Today I made the rest of the Easter chocolates disappear. ;)

I think the key is "a bit" runny. By the time it arrived here, I think it would have run right out of the container!

I have to stay away from this thread. :p Now I want ice cream! Ben & Jerry's makes a flavor, can't remember what it's called, that is vanilla ice cream with fudge and caramel swirled through it. If you let it sit out and get soft before eating it's the equivalent of a sundae. I'm not allowed to be alone with an entire pint as it is soon gone. It's a good thing most of B&J's does not come by the quart. :wuerg:

@LDCrow that is in my top 5 favorite B&J's flavors (yes I have them ranked anyone have a problem with that?) and is simply called Vanilla Caramel Fudge. You're right if you can wait for it to soften up it is nirvana.

I REALLY like the one with chocolate ice cream, with chocolate covered nuts, with chocolate and white chocolate chunks. WOW, it is sooooo delicious!! Super fudge chunk (I think??)

My favorite B&Js are Cherry Garcia and Americone Dream - it's creamy vanilla ice cream with bits of chocolate covered sugar cone, and chocolate syrup and caramel swirls. Also heavenly when slightly soft :inlove:. I'm nibbling on Cadbury's Mini Eggs left from the Easter baskets I put together:music:. Think I'm going to have to spend some penance time on the treadmill.:wuerg:

I'm like Pavlov's dog...I hear ice cream and have to have some. I went rummaging around in the freezer cause I could have sworn there was some in there. All I found was low-fat ice milk....:cry::cry:
