Feedback Farmerama - Game and Features

I'm sure glad I went ahead and nuked my trees yesterday.....so I could finish the Hungry Statues FSQ before game went down. Phew....missed the bullet on that one!!!

I'm definitely having a bad case of FOMO......missing my game terribly!!!

 

Oh look, it's 12 hours later and I can't get into my farms to harvest all my CRs and pets that are ready, or anything else that is just sitting there waiting to be harvested for that matter .

All that hard earned TEP, EP, CC, crates and other rewards, 6 idle fields, full love shacks, wasted refinement time etc that my farms are being kept from harvesting and gaining/benefitting from is nothing but nauseating at this point

At least there are no longer any weeds.

 

BP...regarding "Regular Game Maintenance". Schedule a specific day in between events to do an in depth game maintenance. There seems to be a lot of game mishaps lately. Perhaps if BP took the time to do checks and balances more thoroughly and regularily, rather than always pushing ahead for the next "EVENT", maybe things like this could be avoided or at least minimized. I don't speak for everyone, but I would rather lose a known scheduled day for maintenance. It would allow me to plan ahead of time rather than the current way things have been going as of late.

Regarding compensation this time round. How about giving every player a free month of premium. For premium players and free month and a spectacular compensation package!!

 

They should have disabled premium so all of us locked out farmers could at least get in and farm regularly (no events) while they fixed this mess.

 

I very much suspect the compensation package, if any, will be very poor...as I dont pay for premium subscription Im annoyed Ive lost all my buffs.

I can only imagine how premium farmers are feeling...hopefully they will be back with us soon.

We have been saying for a few months that BPs greed is going to hurt them in the end but did they listen.....lets think no they didnt

 

This is not maintenance lads... this is error fixing.
Let's just hope, that the maintenance guys at the worldwide airlines know that litte but important difference

And as a feedback on games and features:
game is nice, IF it would work properly!
locking out a certain group of players is an absolute no go.

 

Information is a very big thing, the dear mods try to inform us but it does look like they get no information on this situation whatsoever to pass on to us. I'm getting impatient and I whish that Bug Point took better care of their paying customers. NO info at all today it seems like...

 

Now that is a very good idea... It would be much better to disable the feature and let us play.

Sorry BP, I've been playing this game since the beginning of it (even though my profile says 2014, what is incorrect! go figure...) but this is too much!
Say sorry as you mean it... On top of any compensation I say give us locked out farmers a couple of BB trees and free harvest for life. This is ridiculous!

 

There should be a pop-up in-game to warn farmers that the game is going to be shut down for maintenance. Not everyone reads the forum and when maintenance is unexpected you can hardly assume that players are going to read the forum in advance. Too many times I have taken a break from my rl work to harvest things I was expecting to be ready, or even gone to refresh the game or change fields and found that all of a sudden I'm locked out of the game with no warning. An in-game pop-up 20 minutes or even 5 minutes in advance would give players the opportunity to do any harvesting/actions before the game goes down, or at the very least be prepared for the fact that the game is unavailable.

A banner at login the day before and day of scheduled maintenance would suffice. Or regular pop-ups in the lead up to maintenance. Annoying? Yes. More annoying than planning crop times only to find that when harvest time comes around, the game is down? No.

 

It's been over 24 hours now. This infuriates me to no end. What part of it is BEYOND UNFAIR to lock premium account farmers out, while all non premium farmers still get to farm, stock up their barns and prepare for the 2 events that you still have FAQs up for do you not understand? How is this solution fair? Both events need to be cancelled, not postponed, but removed from the game's event schedule completely.

Why would anyone at BP even think locking out premium account players is the right solution for this situation other than to make sure revenue still flows from those that are still allowed in to play and join the game? Your greed for the almighty dollar has completely overtaken your common sense in this case, and it's flat out sickening.

I have lost so much respect for this company for making this decision, it's not even funny. . If this situation had been handled differently, and was fair for everyone, then you'd get some patience out of me. But this is NOT FAIR, it is a slap in the face, so don't expect ANY patience out of me or any other disgruntled locked out premium paying farmer.

I have all of that feelings too... Depends on their final solution if I'll quit or will give it one more chance to this game... BTW they seems to don't care so much. They don't working on weekends... so, if tomorrow till noon nothing happens, we'll staying out maybe a week or more.

 

I really do feel for premium subscription farmers...this whole episode has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Even though Im lucky to get onto my farm Im thinking is it worth it knowing others are left frustrated by looking at a screen with a short video to pass some time.

Im expecting a good compensation for us without premium Im expecting and really do hope our premium farmer friends get something extra special like a few months free on top of whatever else is offered.

 

Premium Subscriber here... Ya know, I understand s*#t happens, especially when the unavoidable Murphy's law is always applicable to everything. Just how life is.... And I appreciate BP making the mention of certain compensations for this disturbance in the farmerama force... However, I have additional concerns that aren't being mentioned...

What about our Neighbors and the time from when we're considered inactive before we loose our neighbors from our neighborhood list.. Perhaps suspend this as well, I would be extremely PO"d if I lost all my neighbors because the game considered me inactive... Additionally, and maybe this is just me that is obsessed over this but.....what about the loss of our daily EP and TEP in which we accumulate over each day from harvesting out CR's and EP/TEP fields... I know for a fact some of my other neighbors watch my leveling, as I watch their's and compete to either catch up or maintain distance in EP/TEP...

I personally believe all of this could have been avoided with fair warning to all players and better planning of BP's behalf.

 

Also Billyjoe is your daily log in bonus, hope whilst the developers are sorting out this mess all bonuses are been harvested on players behalf

 

It takes about a month to loose your neighbors, so it's a while before you have to worry about that

 

For anyone new to this premium paying members being blocked out BS... I've brought up all the complaints/losses that my 2 PAYING farms will suffer in my previous posts in this thread. I seriously hope other PAYING members state their grievances as well. If we don't speak up with our feedback, BP may just simply blow it off. So we all need to speak up ppl! They deserve no positive feedback or encouragement for locking premium membership farmers out of the game. NONE. The entire game should have been shut down for ALL farmers. PERIOD. Several days to fix this latest BP screw up so premium paying farmers can come back to the game is UNACCEPTABLE

 

I'm not in the mood to comment but here I am to support... I hate this discrimination, don't understand it and all I have for BP: big thumb down.

One more thing... very strange situation, this "crazy-leveling up from tree auto-harvester" was for DE players only. Yesterday morning I used it on 3 mainland and I'm still 97.

 

What's worse is the radio silence. No further updates or even a "please stand by" or even "we are still working at this". Just a canned note on the home page and nothing further on the forum regarding their colossal failure. Not to be paranoid but I have to wonder if our accounts will actually be restorable; I can't imagine a programming screwup this big. What happened to backup and restoration protocols?

 

Peeps, if I was a premium user I would be upset too. But knowing BP also has the permanent task and duty to secure not a single player is playing with a possibly compromised account (in this case caused by poor premium service programming) I would take the fact only premium users are set on hold. Same goes if they excluded only regular accounts, or both. When it comes down to account protection and fair gameplay I can understand it and I would deal with not being able to play the game for as long as it takes to solve the problems. Without Farmerama farming and events, life goes on, health permitted.

For now there is no reason for locking out not-affected regular accounts. These players do have a slight adventage over premium account users but for as long as I've been playing BP/the game team always tried their best with compensations when things go wrong. I do understand concerns about it (hey, nobody mentioned the loss of moviepoints - giving precious BB - yet!) but why worry about something we know nothing about yet?
