Discount Dash January 2024​

I am a little disappointed in the Discount Dash Sale starting tomorrow. It has gone up slightly, no problem with that, but all the major items have been reduced. In January (see link above) it included 800 BBs, 200 PF and 15 Wonder Stables. This one is 500 BBs, 120 PF and 10 Wonder Stables. I will be giving this one a miss this time round.

 

The April Fools event was fun actually, creative and cute. However, I wasn't sure when it would end so I ended up not being able to turn in the star coins and lost them all. It would have been nice for a heads up on what time the event was over.

 

Love the new Baha content! The red panda production pen is adorable and it's nice to have a reason to have the little cuties out again. Rhododendrons and nandina (heavenly bamboo) are two favorite plants in real life, so it's lovely to have them in the game as well!

Adding several days later: also a big thank you to whoever made it so now your pheromone choices stay selected even when you leave the breeding shed! this makes life so much easier, by way of preventing me from having to go back and hand-pheromone 25 breedings because I didn't notice that it had reverted back to zero when I went to check and see what I needed to work on!

I'm doing the season quests in order to earn the new Chipmunk stable. One of the customers asks for a chipmunk. None available in the market so I am unable to do that portion of the customer to earn season points and unable to complete that customer for the bonus customer points. It seems a bit unfair to me to ask for such a new animal.

 

I am also very happy to see the Chipmunk as a Season reward. It was asked for last Season. I wondered why as it was such a new critter, so not many would have it. Like you, I was unable to find any in the market. I do appreciate that many of these rare critters and trees eventually become a Season reward. Now I hold out hope for a Wild Pear tree as I've no luck in getting one and it's also needed for quests.

 

Three days in a row Brittney Sparagus has asked me for a chipmunk. This is getting old.

Edit: 6 days now.

Edit 2: Finally did not ask for chipmunk today.

Edit 3: Back to asking for a chipmunk.

 

Incredible slow harvesting, water giving, and the ep count is PER plot/tree etc, incredibly slow.
Ever since the new feature was introduced of bubbles around the drops, (THAT works fine by the way) everything else is now aggravatingly slow.

The weird thing is, every now and then it DOES do a fast harvest/watering...and then it's all back to slow.

Of course I first suspected a messy cache, so I cleared all cookies and my browser caches, ....
Still the same.
Slow slow slow, with the occasional faster one to make me doubt myself.

I play in the browser, because Linux operating system, so I can't use the client.
Firefox and Chrome tried. Same on both.

I do like the bubbles, just not the effect on the rest of the game.
So far, I'm wondering if it's only browser players affected, or if the client is having trouble too?

 

I use the client to farm (Windows 10 operating system). The changes made have greatly increased the speed of farming. I am grateful for the changes.

Before the change two days ago, I would have several minutes of lag between pressing the harvester function button and the game actually doing anything (in fact, the client window would say "not responding" up in the upper left corner of the client window). This was on EVERY field - and the longer the crop duration, the worse the lag. So harvesting Amaranth, I could go wash the dishes and come back.

Now, regardless of the field contents, it's zippy quick. No lag or almost no lag. No time to go unload the dishwasher, that's for sure.

 

Reading farmingfreebird's post, makes me wonder if at least some of our issues might be connected to the browser. Chrome has not updated this week and it usually does on Tuesdays. Often just before an update, the game lags a lot more than usual....albeit not as much as now. I'll see if an eventual update helps and update here.

Very happy for PrairieMaiden23 and others who endured such crazy slow response when playing. Hope things continue to go well for you!

 

I use the client on Win10 too and I'm having the same issues as MeadowCrossing. I haven't seen any improvement on farming harvests, quite the contrary. I can click and line up tasks (harvest, clean, sow, water, manure) but animations will just strech over so much time. When I'm short on water or manure, filling the water tank or manure with the harvester, I'll lose all markers for crops who have been watered or fertilized and hovering over those plots will list the crop I sowed with its inital time growth. Just like anything else, I have to exit that land, get into s second and go back to the first one to see if the game as registered my actions. This is far from an improvement. The only thing I can say is that I haven't seen spinning daisies of death from the client and that "non responding" notice too, but now with all that clicking it takes me about 20 minutes to harvest all and that's a rreeeaalllllyyyy long time.

 

I am sad that some people had such issues with the harvesting in the game. But this change has totally made my game go slow and glitchy. I keep accidentally getting crops seeded that I dont' mean to, because the harvest was so so slow and my hand was on the wrong thing at the wrong time. I buy the harvester because it used to make things nice and quick. But now its just endless reclicking because whatever I clicked on took an extra long time. it is very frustrating.

 

I'm sure not all will agree with me and have valid reasons for their opinions and that's fine. I'm just sharing mine ~ I really wish MM could be open full time. More content and quests could be added to it. Edelweiss and all it entails was created so I don't see the issue with keeping open MM and creating new content and quests for it. Also, Jack's shop interface could be updated for better usability. Additionally, a seed shop, carpenter, and nursery option could be implemented just like all the other lands have.

 

@gardengal I totally agree with having MM open all the time with more events, quests and seed shop ect! Add one more land there along with more content and as with any of the lands it will be our choice whether we play and make use of it or not!
I for one have not opened Edelweiss because reading posts it did not sound like fun to me! and too time consuming! BUT I would love more time on MM Please!

 

@gardengal I agree with you and sanddollar15. Would love to have MM all the time and same interface as other lands. I've also not opened EV as I'm just over 2yrs playing and a long way to go with quests and opening areas on the Tree and pet field. Prefer to get the basics done before attempting EV.

I would also appreciate it if players could be updated on the status of what (if anything) is being done to fix the issue some players are having since the recent improvements.

 

I'd really like to see the mill operation better balanced. I have a hard time getting MM animal/workshop feeds done because my main mill is always running PF. Can we have another mill?

 

I would love a second milling preparation-row to both the main and the baha mill. Perhaps we can just make two rows of food at once? You know, make two kinds of food at once per mill. I think we'd still be behind, but extra rows AND an extra mil...well that would be really awesome. It is indeed a chore to get normal food somehow, if the main mil is only making PF. And for me it is.

 

More mills, me too!

May I also add, more slots available for buffs - I have thousands of buffs that I never use because I don't have the capacity in Diamond and Gold.

 

I also would Love love another Diamond and a Gold slot for buffs, perfect example with MM open we can't use diamond buffs for MM UNLESS we give up use for Mainlands as I use Cac every day! We have soooo many buffs that we can't use...please help us!

 

I was just thinking about this! We definitely need a another diamond slot if MM is only going to be open on rare occasion. Right now I'm juggling buffs for it, wasting them essentially, because I have to remove them before their time is up in order to take advantage of other buffs that need the diamond or gold slot as well.

 

After the changes, the game is slow. Harvesting and planting takes several seconds, as does watering. This change only slowed down the game, not improved it. I have cleaned the browser's history and caches and tried the desktop fatmerama application, the same thing, nothing helps. Please fix this game lag. This did not improve the game at all, on the contrary, it slowed it down.
