Announcement FARMERAMA's 10th Birthday! Happy Birthday!!!

Dear Farmers.

We have been asked to post the following message:​

Wow! Today on January 26th we celebrate FARMERAMA 10th birthday and we are extremely proud about this unique milestone.
The whole Farmerama team feels honored to work for such an incredible and entertaining game. But it is not only the game. Above all it is about all our player in the entire world who forms our Farmerama community who makes the real difference.
You are the most loyal, passionate and engaged players and we can´t describe how much we enjoy reading every single comment (yes also the negative ones, ok maybe not every time and every single one… but yeah you know what we mean ) and how much we love the game.

Most of the team has been working in the FARMERAMA team for years, and you probably won´t believe it but we aren´t interns; we are a big group of passionate and full time employees, who do our very best on a daily basis to provide the best possible experience for you. Of course, we too are aware that we from time to time make mistakes and that not everyone will always understand or like our decisions. But overall, we hope to constantly prove that FARMERAMA isn´t only providing a job for us, it is way more than that.

By far the best thing is: FARMERAMA is connecting people! We know so many stories of players, who found friends, love and happiness through this game and we can totally relate to this. We aren´t just working colleagues, we also become friends with our colleagues. So, we are even more grateful for FARMERAMA.

Every one of us has his own memories – good and bad ones – and we often talk about “do you remember this or that” and we are sure that you feel the same. And everyone has his own connection to FARMERAMA, but we are all connected through FARMERAMA. This is insane.

Sometimes you might feel we do not care about the game or the community. This couldn’t be any further away from the truth and we assure you that this is not the case. The entire team feels responsible for FARMERAMA and the community but as we have long-term plans for FARMERAMA we can´t always fulfil all wishes or react to all complaints immediately. And we are humans who make mistakes. For us it´s never a question of who made a mistake, it´s a question about how to solve situations and how to avoid similar mistakes in the future. Yes, and sometimes we are glad that you don´t listen to our arguments but most of the times we think that it would be good if you could see how much we care about you and the game.

You hopefully can understand that it´s hard to make decisions which aren´t welcomed by you but we always hope that you understand the reasons in the end.
Someone once said in a team meeting: we are working like for a tv show. We provide weekly content and our main goal always is entertainment. Great entertainment! And yes, we fail! Sometimes we are sad if we read the disappointed and frustrated player reactions, but we will never give up.

And on a side note: it is incredibly amazing when you work in the FARMERAMA Team. No one is ever giving up.

We do survive the bad times as we will learn and improve. We read all the feedback and we discuss negative and positive points. We are sometimes chaotic, sad, disappointed, unhappy, confused and overwhelmed but we never lose our motivation, will and passion.
One of the best things about our workflows is the close cooperation with our moderators. They have an important role for everyone in the team.
To pick one example: they will see the events some weeks in advance and they provide feedback - this feedback is one of the biggest steps in our development processes. Furthermore, many of our moderators have access to our test instances which means they can play our events around 10 days before you will see them. Of course, they always have the power to provide additional feedback also in the late stages of our development. But don´t get us wrong, we can´t implement every feedback all the time. You know: the famous game economy (and other facts but most of the time it is “the game economy”)

What we want to say: We are proud to work with the BEST moderators in the world.
They are truly amazing, and words can never describe how much we value their commitment, loyalty and passion. (and by the way: some of them are with FARMERAMA since day 1!) We are full of gratitude as we are 100% sure that FARMERAMA wouldn´t be FARMERAMA without our moderators. Working with the moderators is the major reason why the FARMERAMA team is motivated! Our moderators earned our respect and trust and they are incomparable. It´s an extraordinary relationship we established, and we can´t express how much we value every moderator. They show tremendous character by keeping cool and helping us to make sure everything is getting done, even during busy times. We are glad to know that we can depend on them to stick it out when things get a little hairy, and their exceptional work ethic does not go unnoticed.
THANK YOU for everything! We know that it´s sometimes tough, chaotic and frustrating to work with us and we appreciate your patience, dedication and passion. You are the real rock stars of FARMERAMA!

Last there is YOU! Our community, our players! You make all this happen. Without you all this wouldn´t be possible. We know most of you are players for a long time, and we appreciate your loyalty!

Our team would like to thank you for giving us a wonderful opportunity to service you. It is our desire to keep you satisfied with FARMERAMA. You are our inspiration in doing our very best. Thank you and remember; we value you! None of our achievements would have been possible without you and your unwavering support. Thank you for being with us and for your loyalty. We are very honored to have a community like you. As a matter of fact, we are looking forward to serving you in the coming years.

As you can read: FARMERAMA isn´t only a farming game, it is way more. Did you know that we introduced more than 3000 giver items since FARMERAMA was born? And Events. So many Events. OH, and we shouldn´t forget content updates, new features, cloud rows and so much more. FARMERAMA is a game which is continuously developing, growing and it is more than just alive. To everyone who feels that FARMERAMA is dying: no!
Today, we are not only celebrating our 10th anniversary, we are celebrating the future of this amazing game!

With the migration to Unity which will happen this year we make sure that FARMERAMA has a bright and long future. The Unity project is one of the biggest tasks the team has ever worked on and it may sound like an easy task from outside, but we can guarantee: it never was! It was a huge challenge, but we never lost our confidence or trust. The Team worked hard with a lot of patience during the past months and we are looking forward to finally show you FARMERAMA in a modern technology. As usual we will keep you updated via our official forum as soon as there are any updates. The rough plan is to do additional test rounds with our moderators before starting an open beta. In this open beta you will get the opportunity to not only play FARMERAMA in Unity but also to provide feedback and report issues. So, we can assure a smooth transition to Unity afterwards.

As you can imagine it means a lot to celebrate the 10th anniversary of a browser game in the games industry but more importantly it means the world to us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our beloved “baby” called FARMERAMA.
