Fast Baby Boom Event?

I been using the app the last days with the inutep event until it was over. Today this morning I came online to check if there was a new event but nothing. Then suddently like 4h ago the new events started and the baby boom event was just for 4-6h ? It's over now btw so I want to ask: It was just for a few hours? Or somehow the app delay and require a lot of refresh in order to get the game updates?

 

It was for eight hours and in NZ it ran from 1am to 9am, which last week would have been midnight to 8am but we went onto daylight saving, and next week when CET becomes CEST (or is it the other way around?) it will be 2am till 10am!
It is Sooo confusing, I cannot decide which emotion I am !

 

Maybe. I might missed the first hours but again it's weird it was just a few hours and no more time. It's to make things harder for the breed tomato event? I also believe I losy some sheeps in the breeding because in the app/client didn't let me add animals to breed and I forced it anyways. But because I'm not sure if that happened or not, I can't talk about it, tho today the app/client wasn't very stable around the time the new event started.

 

When using the standalone client, you absolutely need to close it down and restart it after the hour when the new event starts. It will then download the update needed to play the new event, hitting F5 will not cut it one bit.

A short Baby Boom is always available at the beginning of the event while there's a longer one offered over the entire weekend usually. When you say that the app/client didn't let you add animals, do you mean you had to add the manually at all time? If so, your breeding harvest may have been empty? I'm not sure but I think that if you tried breeding while you hadn't the new update installed in the standalone, then you wouldn't get badges from your breeding...

 

That's a shame. In the browser the screen is too small and there isn't any option to make it bigger like in the client.

I had in that moment 7 sheeps. I tried to start one breeding job with 4, but after press the button start, nothing happened and the sheep wasn't deducted or the job ever started. Now this is the part I'm not sure. After that, I tried start 5 breeding jobs with normal white common sheeps. I saw the numbers was reduced in that moment. Then I closed the client and went to the browser, none of the breeding jobs I started in the client was activated in the game. But I'm not sure if the reduced numbers I saw in the client was returned or I lost those forever. I'm not sure so I can't complain. Like I said the client today been a bit weird since the new event started.

The Baby Boom was only a short one. As stated by others, you need to refresh your Game when a Event/Mini Event begins to see the update in your browser or standalone client. When using the standalone, hitting shift + F5 will refresh the game.

That's very good to know. Thanks a lot. Another unrelated question. The farm wheel. The prizes you win is selected the moment you press the "go" button? Or it matter when and where you press the stop button?

 

I'm sorry shooger.sweet but hitting F5 will not download the new update of the standalone, we must close it off and relaunch it, only them will the standalone install the update needed to play the new event. I'm in the Eastern time zone and for me events start at 8am. I have to wait and open the standalone after 8am, the standalone screen will go blank, after a few seconds I'll get a message that my game has been updated, the standalone will then launch the screen with the sheeps and the wheelbarrow and load the game with the new event.

Regarding the prizes of the farm wheel, GamefanPPG is right: the prize is selected the moment the wheel starts spinning, just click on the Reward history button and you'll see the prize won on that particular spin even if it's still graphically spinning. Pressing the ESC key will bring you back to the map screen and put an end to the spinning, you can spin again and do the same to speed up using all of your tickets.
