Fastest way to harvest.

I'm curious, what would be the fastest way to harvest crops? Any ideas or suggestions?

 

The fastest way is the harvest machinery. There are several ways you can activate the machinery:

1. Buy a harvester subscription with real money or buy separate machinery functions with BB's for a limited time. These options are available in the supply store in the city. There is also the premium villa offerings available for real money in the city.
2. You can get some machinery functions, including full harvester functions, for a limited time as a reward with certain FSQ's.
3. Machinery coupons won through events, special game gifts like the holiday calendars or with farm wheel spins (if you are very lucky).

If you harvest by hand you will need to develop a pattern that suits you. It is very tedious to harvest 1x1's by hand, but if you have the time it is an option. 2x2's are much easier to harvest by hand, but you do not get large harvests that way. You can try harvesting 1x1's on a diagonal from the left bottom of the field to the top of a row. I found that flows better than working from side to side when harvesting by hand.

When I harvest 1x1 I find top to bottom is easier than side to side. It depends more on your mousing ability than anything.
There are good tips on the internet that show good hand positions. I do 1x1 by hand, if your not in a rush it's not overly difficult. The way the farm equiptment works here is definitely not cost effective. Save your real dollars for real life.

 

I have been doing it from the bottom to the top and down the middle of two rows. That way I catch two rows in the same motion. I plant the same way only starting from the top and going downto the bottom. The faster I click my mouse the faster I can plant. Harvesting is slower though.

Thank you, I knew about the harvester. I was talking more on the lines of the fastest way to harvest without spending the money on the harvester. I have been doing it from the bottom to the top and down the middle of two rows. That way I catch two rows in the same motion. Harvesting is MUCH slower though so I thought I would just ask the forum.

 

I zigzag - all the way across one row, down to the next, back to the other side, down to the next, etc.

 

It sounds almost like the way I do it.

 

I tried harvesting 1x1s by hand and lasted three days. It drove me nuts, especially on the darker Moonlight Madness fields.

I gave up and used one of my one-hour helper coupons to get the builder so I could erase everthing and start again with 2x2s. I don't get quite as much but it is a lot less stressful. Plus SuperGrow goes farther before I run out.

Just my two cents. All I can afford until the end of January.

 

Harvesting 2x2s with SG is much more painful to me than harvesting 1x1s by hand. Sounds like a very expensive way to avoid paying the €10 for the monthly harvester subscription when it's on sale, since €10 would only get me 1350 units of SG during the Super-Grow Savings mini-event...
