Many have not completed growing the necessary crops yet. There is plenty of time left and some will not even begin growing until the weekend is over. I think it reasonable to expect 1000 players and even more reasonable to expect many will attempt to play only to playout.

As I log in through a third party partner, I get the perspective that my third party partner puts up how many are logged into the game at the time I log in. On Thursday or Friday, the day the servers crashed, just before the crash there were over 7000 logged in. Usually there are only 800 to 1200 when I log in. Considering that many were sleeping at the time, I'd say there are plenty of top level farmers.

I almost spit out my eggnog flavored coffee when I read this :eek:o_O. I truly hope it's nothing but a very mean spirited rumor, as it would completely ruin what is a highlight of most farmers' year. I know I look forward to it, and I know many others do also; it's fun to wonder what is behind each little door every day :inlove:. However, December can be incredibly busy for many farmers, and we all occasionally miss a day or two, that's why it was so nice to be able to go back later and open them. Sounds like the Grinch is trying to steal Christmas from the farm :(.

How nice of you to assure us that we will not be banned for taking advantage of a feature working exactly as announced :D

    Greetings -Mir85- :(

The sarcasm is very much appreciated for a Monday morning :( but I am afraid there is nothing I can do. When it comes to official announcements, we post what we are told and the way we are told. The same information should be on the German Forum as well, I do not speak German though but a quick translation shows me it does. So, I am just passing along what we've been told, since of course for some, it may seem to be a bug and could be worried about bug-using and a possible ban. We have received this information, this matter is considered an issue, and it will stay this way until we find out if the Game Team has intended this or not.
    Greetings everyone,

Thank you all for your feedback and comments.

What I would like to point out is that this event is a 'tradition', as some of you have mentioned :) The Harvest Hoedown events are known to be "barn cleaners" and some players are preparing for them and looking forward to them all year round, especially when it comes to Top1000 (Top500 in the past).

All your feedback will be sent to the game team, so we are looking forward to your constructive comments.
    Kind regards,
    teddy.bear

Sorry teddy, I don't let myself be provoked often, but when it happens, it is like waking the beast. I of course understand that you are just posting what info you receive.

Anyway, you made me laugh, so I'll stop the angry posts now :)

Mmm did someone say chocolate! :inlove:

Apologies that I haven't had the time to go through all the feedback posts so if this has already been mentioned, forgive me. I would just like to point out that I think it is better to highlight that farmers will be using their last event seeds - doesn't happen in this event. It really helps just before you press the button (I haven't done it this time but I have done it on several occastions!). :wuerg:

Also, just a little typo in the FAQs (too late now but for next time) - it states we will get 5 seeds at the start and we actually got 10. :)

I will definitely be going up to level 7 on this farm, not on the other farm - it just isn't rich enough! I will not be attempting the Top 1000 unless between now and the end of the event the wheel gives me several Gold level breeding animals lol! :D

I agree with the opinion that's mostly come up here, this event is ridiculously expensive. I didn't realise this until I got to the 650 000 ccs worth of animals.... Now I've completely emptied my stock of animals, have got all my land dedicated to stalls, and I'm still not sure of finishing on time to get the cloud row... And I'm level 87! Please please please could it be extended for a couple of days?

If the Fall Harvest is a tradition that elite farmers save all year for.... Why wouldn't you just post that info as part of your FAQ announcement? Wouldn't it be kind of nice to let the lower level people know how and why this is going on and why the product levels are sooooo high? People are less likely to be angry when they have full information, I know lower level people that have quit the game because of this event (following the Halloween event which was also very high product for very low reward.)

As with alot of the other players, I choose to not finish this one, I went to level 3 but because of the Breeding animals, that's it. I have been working so hard on completing other breeding animal quests, that I am not willing to give up all that hard work on this event.

Good Luck to all who try to go further, the only way I would do that is if I planned on quitting the game completely and deplete all that I have saved up for as the last big hurrah.

This has been the first time I've really thought about whether I cared for an event or not. I did NOT like it and on hind sight would never have done it. The requirements of breeding/colored animals was a hideous, outrageous amount. I didn't stop to add it up until it was too late. My bad. I won't do that again. I will however, NOT be breeding by buying power feed to get them all back in my barn.

This event was NOT cool in my small unimportant opinion. I will be a quicker thinker in the future before I toss all my long hard work away.

I am not bothering with this event at all. I would like the powerfeed and tickets, but since I can only use "regular" main farm and baha crops -- no trees, etc, its just not worth it for me.

EDIT: I did a re-evaluation and did complete the first step.. took less than 350 organic cotton, so it was worthwhile.

That said, there is more than one way to "win" this event. I am making heaps selling stuff. Later, when prices drop back down, I can cash in. (though have bought a few pens for the Noah event)

My husband and I spent $100.00 each to try and win this. Then we were one of the first to finish. Well now we have given up a lot of our barn stuff. I refuse to cont. with this. I feel that this was totally unfair. This challenge is making me rethink about playing at all. We spend a lot of real money on this game. So disappointed. We were understanding that the first 1000 to finish the game. :(

wow, i thought I would have a chance at getting into the 1000 but I have given almost everything I had in my barn and not getting there. I'm so unhappy that I even started, when I think how long it has taken me breeding animals and then I just go and throw them all away for nothing... not fair, we should get something for trying, well I think so. not happy

This event was sure for high level players but I am a high level player and this event needs more than that.
It is not right that they asking for breeding animals because these months a lot of events were about breeding animals.
I didn't like that they were 2 tasks about breeding animals, it could have been other requirements like tools(as some players have already said).

Good luck to the players trying to get in the top 1000 :)
