Feedback: New Farmerama Forum

I also love the calendar, I'm sure before long we'll wonder how we ever got along without it. I also the smilies!

For the official record, I'm sad about the embedded countdown timers absence but imagine I'll adjust fine to the change.

 

I believe I'm posting in the correct place. This new forum is taking some adjusting to. I love the calendar function. If something is official it's on the calendar. I don't like that you don't have an option for what day of week to set the calendar to start, most forums do. I prefer to start my week on sunday since all the other calendars I have on my computer start on sunday instead of monday.

The new forum is great. It reminds me of:
Facebook: Now I can like posts,
Twitter: I can retweet, oops, reply to posts I like,
Old Forum: Same old tired forumites complaining about the Steam Room...



Kindly explain how the ranking works and what points are awarded to likes, posts, and other stuff. This feature is not clear...

We have started a brand new database, so all the old posts and counters have gone, everybody starts fresh on the new Forum. The new layout doesn't display the post count under the avatar indeed, but we cannot tell you why - we are rarely informed why decisions are taken.

I am happy to hear you like the new calendar feature, and I'm thrilled to see you find your way around the forum just fine! Of course it will take some time for all of us to get used to it, but we had a great start! The week start suggestion has been forwarded already.

The points are offered for posting and likes received. Reaching a certain number of posts will change your forum title, just like in the old forum. As soon as we will have the official numbers and titles, we will post a short guide. ​

 

I like a lot in the new forum the way we answer fast and easy
And of course the smiles are wonderful
But can't we change the color of our writing?

I'm happy to hear you love the new forum and the smilies ! Of course we can change the colour of our text, (<---- what not to do) but it would be great if we wouldn't over-use this and keep the forum nice and clean:

and I won't over-use the colors maybe I will use them on special occasions! It would be tiring everyone to write with different color

You misunderstood me Silly Teddy Bear.

Maybe my English wasn't clear but I meant to say that this new forum should have a post counter under our names so everyone can see it. This way when I'm stalking/reading the forums I can see how many post and to believe them or not.

Overall, like most everyone, I love love love the calendar function, so much easier to follow events and especially when they start and end. The new smilies are awesome too, for some reason am quite taken by the , and also the tho I haven't found a need to use it yet . I'm having fun clicking on anything and everything, and quite honestly, I think I'm posting more than I usually do simply because I want to get my count back up, lol. And I'm having a blast doing it. I haven't really tried the search function yet, but hope it is easy to use - I was finally getting the hang of it in the old forum . And I love seeing so many new names that I don't recognize from the old forum, it's good we're getting new farmers (or at least new to the EN forum) interested. And, I like that so far I haven't timed out of the forum; if I leave for a bit and then come back, I've still been able to post without having to close and reopen. I do miss the Games page, tho, where can we post threads with games for the forum?

But I really would miss the title "forum demigod" (I didn't had it for long but it was my favorite!)

I am really happy you love the new Forum and its features, especially the Calendar, and the smilies I'm thrilled to hear you have a blast around here so am I ! The search function is even easier to use, you will see! As for the Games, I'm sorry - but this section has been removed from the new Forum structure, so we won't have those kind of games anymore (counting, naming, etc)

We sure can have a funny pictures thread, the Games section should include games like "counting to a billion" or "name items in your closet / a friend / etc" - this section is the one that has been removed. You are welcomed to share jokes and funny pics in the Gabfest section.
