Feedback: New Farmerama Forum

I was just visiting the Grapevine section and clicked on "sources" put in by Latein about next comic event. What I noticed was....in foreign forums, their siggy's are huge....about 3x the size we are allowed....even mods as late as yesterday. My question is....is the English forum's siggy size restriction smaller than the rest?

 

Brookeham I noticed that also in the greek forum players have signatures size as they could use in the old forum

Yes, the siggy size allowed in all the Bigpoint English forums is smaller than other languages. Some languages have no restrictions at all and had double/triple size siggies compared to the EN Forum in the past as well. The rules come from above, as you have noticed, so we follow However, everyone seems to be getting wonderful signatures so I think/hope it was not a big problem afterall.​

 

am I the only one who likes the smaller sized signatures more than the bigger?
well and you Teddy seem you don't have a problem

 

I really miss my old banner and some of the other ones as well But I do think the forum is easier to read with this size

And it is refreshing seeing all the new pretty ones

I do think it's a bit unfair to make our signature size so very small compared to non-English forums. Nothing against you teddy, I just don't understand why the English forum is being given such a tiny space for signatures. I look at the other forums and their huge, expressive siggys with tons of things in them.....and can't help but be a little jealous.

I just love the new forum I think that it is so much more user friendly, the look is beautiful, the calendar is awesome, and the smilies are just tooo cute! I am so very happy with all of it

I am really really happy that you like the new forum and you find it beautiful and useful. I am sorry to have to ask you to reduce the size of your signature The new guidelines allow a maximum signature of 468 x 60.

So far I am liking the new forum. It is easier to navigate, the layout is good and new features like the calendar and today's events are really good.
I miss the steam room, as it was often amusing, and hope that someone will start a daily complaints(steam) thread as already suggested !
My main gripe is having to start again as a forum newbie - when it comes to G&T event it will be difficult for players to know who they can trust. I understand that this has to be but still don't like it.

 

I love the new forum; everything about it is so much better than the old forum except of course the teeny tiny siggy size

I am happy you like the new Forum and I hope you will not miss the Steam Room too much, and find other sections as being amusing. As for the join date, we have passed on this suggestion. ​

I have deleted the post that I had here before, I will say I am not impressed with this new forum, seems to me they have made new rules for everything imaginable on this new one. In essence it feels micromanaged and I personally don't like it.

I have deleted my post as well since it's not making any sense now, but I'm really really sorry you feel this way, and I hope you will like the new Forum slowly, and you will get used to it. Change is not always easy but overall the farmers haven't hated it too badly an found it easy to use. Thank you for your feedback, and if there is anything we can do to help you adjust to the new forum, please don't hesitate to let us know. ​

 

Now, I am not sure if I Post at the right place.
I do miss the event timer, like so many have already posted. That was very helpful, especially when daylight saving time started or ended. Since that is at a different day in different countries (or not at all).
What I am wondering now is, the calender is not filled with all the events from the preview calender. But much more, do we not get the announcements of the events anymore? I didn't see one for the moonlight mania. I was especially interested if the starting time was to be the same. (one hour later then most of the other events). But some one new would know that.
I do like the calender. And I am getting slowly used to the rest.
Teddy bear, you do a lot of good work. And every body who is working with you. Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback and your kind words. I am glad you have found the announcements - all the Events and Mini events will not be announced in the "Event Announcements" section. The mini events will all be in the same thread - and they will be added to the Forum Calendar as soon as they are announced. To avoid any misunderstanding, the preview calendar dates are not added to the calendar feature - since the dates are just estimates and they can change at any point. This gives you an idea and overview of what's coming up, and as soon as we have official dates, they are added to the Calendar which will remind us daily of what's about to happen. ​
