Firefly Festival-Strategy Thread

Oh shoot! Moraine, you just reminded me - no BB! Unless there is a surprise one lined up!

I thought I would be very clever (makes a change, I know!) and not be waiting, tapping fingers, at the exact start of the event. I had everything set to finish the breeding event within an hour and all ready for the Firefly Festival (albeit, only one to five hour crops owing to getting the most out of Ingrid). Now, do I go ahead with no BB or do I wait ... I'm not really that good at waiting and I am working all weekend.

I decided to do my little pile of ironing while waiting and start a quarter of an hour later. I couldn't find a spare socket so I saw this huge plug with a scarecrow on it and thought, this one will do, no problem and bish bash bosh - no farms!

Good luck all. I am in for everything - got all the bits and bobs needed for the Firefly and, as said, the breeding was all done but the harvesting (well half of it anyway).

Have fun ... when you it all gets going again!

Edit: Farm-a-Coin Palooza is on for 8 hours (I think) so, bearing in mind my past history of luck with BB anyway, think I will get on with it now while I have a bit of spare time. Who knows, I might get lucky with skips ... another Pink Pig just flew over! (Must have escaped from Oldman's farm!)

 

Strategy for completing Firefly, while trying to do animal breeding event
Do we do this one first, and slowly gear up the animals on the fields not used for the crops?
Or what? Older and wiser heads please help !

 

Wonder if there will be a Baby Doomer
Am only going up to my usual 6 ..i dont mind just having the basic stable
I cannot find the Lobster in the breeding house

 

If any of my neighbours are reading this, none of my farms will be doing this event. Too much real life stuff going on and my computer keeps crashing too! Good luck everyone.

 

Just now found out that we are having firefly event I was totally unaware. By luck I clicked on the event icon and there was this event. Something prompted me to click....else....must be the FCOD that made me click. All my fields are full with frog, bees, chameleon pens. Can't delete them. Most of them can be harvested only tomorrow morning. But baha is empty. So I can put the event crops there. Let me see how fast I pick up in the drops tomorrow. Thanks Jazac for the maths & this thread. Going to put my first 10 event seeds in the fields.

 

I find that there is a event coming when my field had plant with previous event ctop
(due to extend 1 day, I hunt for the coins), so, stop plant anymore to set up for this
event, I may have a late start to get good inital drop. Hope not get too much troubles
due to late start.
for the breeding event, It start at the same time with Firefly, but none open the strategy thread
I look at the FAQ & see the reward of CR, not attractive to me. So, I may drop this one. even those
rare pen look temp. to me.....
maybe I do some part,

 

The Firefly Festival and Wild About Animals were both announced in the October Preview Calendar. I always note all events in my (farm) diary. I sometimes get the dates a bit mixed up but I have a (very) vague idea when things are going to start or end.

First harvest I got 118 Thermos Flasks! I believe we need 800 to do whole firefly event!
On the Wild about animals side,I went for the Arthropods side as I wanted the new Lobster pen! So I bred bees 65 times to get the 65 badges we needed and went and got it done! I will now go make some lobster food to feed them! that we get the Red up grade if you do the whole thing!
I will now wait for a baby boom to see if I will do the other 2! Good luck to everyone, oh yes I did get 39 coins from the 65 breedings!

Initial harvest fetched 171 drops...Waiting for BB to finish Wild About Animals Event which may take 1 hour and then concentrate on Firefly...Good Luck everyone

 

Well off to a great start here. Forgot to check CAC before harvesting fields. Then harvested 130 breeding houses before realizing there is no BB right now. Best of luck and Happy Farming to all.

 

Every one is welcome...even if you don't do the event... that's another reason i believe these are made to help those who wants to see what is needed and go from there.. I also understand life comes first which i have to work tommrow as of now.. so i will lose a day on this event... I just woke up and harvested my fields got the event down and seeded some..

No I looked when someone mentioned if selling scented candles be better... its like another 200k more for 30 candles on my market anyway...lol I had to stop a minute cause it looks as if we can plant on the rainforest too... or is it seeds shows up but not plantable? Not sure yet..no new news on the FAQ in my new news feed so i will pull up the FAQ in a minute to see if they have edited it...

Jazac: I just tested one Glowberry and it planted okay. Will see if it is still there tomorrow - need to plant longer term overnight to catch up on the drops. Fingers crossed this "glitch" stays!

 

Decided not to do the Firefly, instead I will be greedy and sell most of my 136 candles.

 

This game is becoming a little bit stressful two events at the same time AGAIN

 

I agree to many events and now I am running out of coins...Mainly because I spent more then I should have by NOT reading.. Oh well lesson learn I guess...lol I am too gonna have to stop doing some events just so I can stock back up on items... otherwise it will be a long time before I can build my coins up as these events doesn't help all that much..

I have update the first post as we can plant on the rainforest too.. Not sure where I will end up on this event.. But sure wont force myself...

 

As i suspected the FAQ we can grow Glowberries on Rain Forest as FAQ did say we get drops from Rain Forest. So I am Happy to Focus Growing Glowberries using Only Baha and Rain Forest.

Using CAC we can reap about 1100 Glowberries per Harvest that about 17 Harvests as we can Squeeze in 5 Harvests per Day. Fingers Cross try win Harvest +1 or 100% or 200% Harvest on Party Wheel Spin.

I am sticking to my guns to Grow Frogs, Chameleons, Skunks, Butterflies, Glowworms etc. In main field, green meadow and glade. As i can grow Glowberries around the outside using 1 x 1 Fields.

Opps Blessedlady2. That is a misfired Firework, Reaping your Breeding Stables as they is no baby boom as yet. But i know it always start the usual weekend time.

I do not think i can complete the Firefly Event by friday afternoon. It a pity as cannot make use of 500% EP on All Breeding Motels for 5 Hours with the Cloud Row. Hmmm I wonder can get it activated by Sunday Evening before BB ends

I am sure they will be maybe this weekend... I went to fast after putting in 25 sets of each in bees, frogs, and chameleon and harvested them this morning... I did get 35 coins out of 75 breeds... But i rather the skips... BP hasn't given us much Powerfeed to go for these coins... least NOT in my book...

 

I hope so, Im having to charge my animal guests extra nights in the hotel
